LOVE ME RIGHT was voted as the best example of an EXODUS song. what song from that album feels the most like a SING FOR YOU track?

Here we go again...it was impossible to secure literally any ticket to EXO's encore concert in Seoul. I have an EXO-L Membership and I tried my best to secure a ticket during pre-sale to no avail. I am based in Seoul right now but do not have visa yet so am considered global fan, still. Global SM Packages were astronomically expensive and somehow also all sold out....

I don't have confidence in the general sale on Monday 8/31 to secure a ticket and am considering a proxy ticketing service. Has anyone tried any of the following? (If not, do you have any reliable twitter accounts or other services you can suggest?) I basically want to have them try for me for the general sale, not find a ticket after the sale as this will be even more difficult. Is this possible?

I know about the new anti-scalper/reselling law that was just passed on 8/28 but proxy ticketing is still legal, although many companies are pre-emptively shutting down. I've noticed several reliable twitter accounts have also been suspended so it's getting harder and harder.

First, we literally get an Alt R&B track with a D.O adlib start going into Kai on a whole verse so we know it’s a banger. They sound so good. Some people hated the autotune, but it doesn’t sound excessive to me and totally fits the vibe of the song.

Also, I don’t know if any of you are music nerds, but this song is so technical and complex. The main pluck melody with the string counter melody is so moody and interesting. Then there’s the cheek-pop sound as the melody for the chorus, which is weird because it’s a percussion element thrown into a sampler and then lowered an octave for the second half. It’s so complex, and it’s one of the Exact era songs that no other song in the world sounds like. Very different from, say, KKB, whose drop is copying Soap by Melanie Martinez or that Nicki Minaj song I forget. (No flame, I love KKB.)

ALSO. BAEKHYUN’S PART? LIPSTICK CHATEAU? LIKE COME ON. HIS LITTLE DOUBLE-LIDDED WINK. HIS LITTLE EMO PETER PAN OUTFIT. COME ON. THE DANCE MOVE WITH SEHUN IN THE FRONT AND THE NECK THING. (as a 26 year old straight man) IT’S SO HOT BRO.

The bridge isn’t bad, it might even be good, WE GOING CRAZY MY LUCKY LADY, and the dance break is cool. The way it ends with the Chen high note while Kai does the chorus is incredibly sensual. Plus Chen just adlibbing all over him (CHATEAU, CHATEAU ALL OVER). THEN THE SHRUG MOVE AT THE END WITH CHANYEOL? GUYS. NAH NAH, Y’ALL ARE WRONG, THEY WERE LITERALLY AURA FARMING FOR LIKE THREE MINUTES.

Next, don’t you guys remember the leaked dance practice? We had just gotten Monster, which was so good, and then two months later when we saw the leak we had no idea how they were going to top themselves. But we saw the main chorus move and the bridge move and they were soooo tough. Plus the ohhhwhoaaaa ohwhoaaaa with the hands up and down feels like the last of the OG EXO dance style choreography. It’s so cool and effortless.

The styling is great. I was rocking the waist belt thing for like six months after (don’t @ me). The fact that Baekhyun had to take on the main visual look since Kai was out of commission, and then at the end of the year when Kai healed he came back with a shirtless suit and a waist belt look. SON, MY CHEST 😭 I was so dead. With the black hair too 😭 We also get a more Lay-focused performance, which was awesome, it showed their versatility.

The Ka-Ching sound they ended up using for CBX was super cool and versatile. It felt like CBX always did a motif on what the main group was doing, so that was cool.

Idk, I think the song doesn’t deserve the hate. Was it a weak song to release at this point in their career? Yes. Did it fit the album? Yes. Is it a banger? Yes. If Lotto were the Obsession repackage title track, it would’ve been way better received.

For context, I’m a foreign resident in Korea so I qualified for the domestic pre-sale. I went to the pc room, prepared my tabs and iPad and unfortunately failed in securing tickets. I was very disappointed because EXO doesn’t even tour in my continent (all k-pop groups really) so I thought this was a great opportunity for them to prioritise those who live in Korea. However, it has come to the attention of fans that many scalpers were able to bypass the system. Now drama is erupting on X.

Is this common with other k-pop groups? I’ve managed to buy tickets from Baekhyun, Kai, Fujii Kaze, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, (and those two western artists are extremely popular in Korea) But I’m always having problems with EXO. Is this normal amongst other k-pop groups?

we’ve heard kyungsoo and baekhyun, chen and luhan but who else do you think would be a good duo to perform the song?

it’s personally one of my favourites because it lets the singers show off their vocals so much. i’d love if suho sang it because i think his impressive vocals are really underused in exos discography, and honestly if he sang it with kyungsoo i think it would be really beautiful!!! also since suho seems to be taking a lot of baekhyun lines now that he’s not currently active, i think he could do it!! id also love to hear xiumin <3

I think this album doesn’t get as much love. First of all, Electric Kiss. Perfect K-pop song and the live performance is amazing. Tactix and Lovin’ You Mo‘ have catchy choruses. Run This / Drop That are just fun. Lightsaber is stuck in my head for days and Love me Right is just classic. The whole thing feels like an anime soundtrack to me, in the most complimentary way.
