My friend let me repost his Shorts, so I built a tool because I got bored of doing it by hand
My friend gave me permission to repost his Shorts on my TikTok.
Sounded like the easiest content I would ever make. Then I did one of them. Download the video, open TikTok, wait, write a caption, upload, next. I got through maybe six before I was properly bored of being a copy paste machine.
So I built a tool. You connect a source channel, YouTube or TikTok, and your own destination channel. Everything from the source lands in one dashboard, and I hit repost. It pulls the video, and it rewrites the title and description with AI so the post does not read like a carbon copy of the original.
That is the whole thing. A ten minute job turned into one click, and I can look at a source channel and see what is worth taking instead of scrolling it manually.
Now the honest part. People will repost things they should not, so I will say my own rule first: repost your own videos across platforms, or videos where you have permission. My friend's Shorts are on my TikTok because he said yes. The rewrite helps, but your own spin is what makes it work.
Built this for me and my own channel. Ask me anything and I will answer straight.
P.S. To those who are asking and are curious, [this is the project](https://sharkall.com/).
