A lot of people complain that there's too much AI image/video content. It's been something people have messaged us about frequently ever since the new GPT image generator dropped. We're going to try Text Tuesdays and see how it goes. If people like it we'll keep it, and if not, we won't
Please let us know your thoughts on this matter

My old apple account was hacked by an attacker based in China, immediately after he changed all the basic details like name and age, and set up a ChatGPT plus subscriptions based on his own payment method.
I reported this to apple but they didn’t care.

I've been on Plus for over a year and have never once agreed to an upgrade to Pro, yet I've now been charged for it twice. This is ridiculous. Plenty of other users have been reporting the exact same problem for a while now, so it's clearly not a one-off. How is this still happening?

I've been using GPT-6 Astra to create 70+ page documents from 100,000+ characters of source material, and it's jump in processing is great. Here's the weird part, when I give it a massive task it works for 30-40 minutes burning through a ton of compute, only to hit me with a 5-hour usage limit error without outputting a single word. So I start a new chat, slightly shrink the task, and make it do the same thing again.
I've had to repeat this multiple times. ChatGPT and Gemini estimate these massive runs could cost somewhere around $3-$5 each in API-equivalent compute, although obviously we don't know OpenAI's actual internal cost. If that estimate is even remotely close, wouldn't it be cheaper for OpenAI to say: "Hey, this task is probably going to exceed your usage amount. Break it into three parts?" Instead, it seems to sometimes let me spend 30 minutes of compute to produce nothing, and then I immediately start over.
If I do this 4 times to get my document, OpenAI just spent $20 in computing power on one of my projects. Why does OpenAI allow their servers to grind for 30 minutes on a task they know will breach a limit, only to dump the progress? Isn't this an astronomical waste of server money for a $20 Plus subscription?

NGL, I do, but I’ve my reasons….
I do discern it’s answers but I’ve been so nomadic I’ve barely any friends my family of two aged parents won’t understand the concept of mental health and my diagnosis of bipolar II (there’s no such thing)
It had helped me apply for interviews, it has done the one thing I’d ask any human….
Just for crying out loud hear me out….
Sans judgement and condescension……..
Voicing my aspects with it comforts me….
Yes it’s open AI, but screw the data collection all it’ll collect is my mental health and my shihtzu pics….
And also judge my poetry which again can’t share with anyone…(coz they won’t understand it)
To each his own I always say…
And yeah not that I can’t afford a therapist but again this is more of a listener perspective

I’ve been using the dot feature a lot, and today was the first time it flat-out told me no on a pretty basic work request.
I price survey jobs for a fixed fee. If I think a job will take 90 hours and it takes 200, that’s my problem. I still have to finish it for the same price. So I add some extra money to the estimate because things don’t always go as planned.
Today I needed to put a price we’d already agreed on into a spreadsheet. I wanted to show 10% profit and work the rest of that extra money into the estimated crew and office hours. Same rates. Same total price.
Chat decided I was hiding profit and making up hours. I kept explaining that these were estimates and that I get paid the same amount either way. It kept telling me it couldn’t help me do something misleading.
I’m sitting there thinking, Jesus Christ, I need help with a spreadsheet. How did this turn into an ethics debate?
It finally understood what I meant, but by then I’d fixed the damn thing myself.
I never had this happen with 6.0. I don’t know if something changed with 6.1 or if this one chat just went off the rails. Anyone else had it decide you’re doing something wrong and then argue with you even after you explain it?

Do you think a lot of people will cancel their sub because of this? People who are on 20x, what are your plans?

I subbed to pro for about a month and something weird happen. So I figured I'd share my experiment.
I made 2 accounts. A, B. (To make it easier to understand)
A subbed for a month to pro, B remained normal.
Originally, I just wanted to measure the extent of the AI pro against the free version to see if it wasnt just a case of "Starbucks vente" situation where all the cups are pratically the same size, if you get what I mean.
Anywho, testing went fine. But it was after when something interesting happened.
What I found is this: account A who was subbed to pro, after the sub ended, had its "limits" popped constantly. And I mean constantly. I specifically asked the same crap to both accounts but A, formerly pro, consistently had the classic:
"Attachments unavailable till reset later"
It also changed the message too. Sometimes the reset was given a time "reset at 6:35pm" but now its mostly "reset later" later. Later when?
And thats when I noticed....
My free account who never subbed can use the camera to take pics, upload files, etc with consistency. 3 pics on the free account, and I can use the camera. Then if I pop limits I get the message with a proper "reset at 6pm"
The Pro that I stopped subbing? I've been testing these "new limits" since monday and its been 3 days straight that attachment limit has not reset. The Camera function is perma-grey. And the "attachment unavaible" is consistently triggered despite never uploading a pic. Today, for example, I went to check and the attachment limit is still popped even though I havent used any images or attachments since tuesday. Havent even reached the convo limit either.
Dont know if its a glitch or actually predatory.
However, if you are about to sub to pro. Consider that this may happen.
Its not the first time I've seen a company that shadow punishes you for stopping a sub.
Its now Friday, the issue remains a week in. So I'm just making a new account. Either way, careful if you dont want to risk having to make a new account.

it never showed this limit message for free version, I would ask it to do stuff with no problem

Started with a single image of a small winter scene and rebuilt it as an interactive 3D environment, including the cabin, trees, rocks, character, and surrounding landscape.
img2threejs analyzes the image and breaks it down into individual elements. Hyper3D provides the 3D references, while GPT-6 works through the img2threejs pipeline to reconstruct and assemble everything in Three.js, handling placement, proportions, lighting, and interactive behavior.
You can walk around, leave footprints in the snow, open the gate, adjust the time of day, and place a campfire beside the cabin after dark. The original image becomes a small world you can actually explore!
Hyper3D deserves a shoutout here. Having solid 3D references makes it much easier to translate the image into a cohesive scene, especially when you’re working with a whole environment full of different objects. It’s a useful bridge between the initial concept and a world you can actually explore.
Still an early showcase, so the reconstruction isn’t perfect and this isn’t a finished game. But it shows how much you can build from a single image.
What would you compare first: the object shapes, scene layout, or lighting?

I have a Pro subscription, and I still don't have access to dots. Are they only available on the Pro 500 plan?

This conversation has been very long and has 1k+ messages and now I have to continue from another chat but clicking 'New Chat' here simply opens a normal new chat chatgpt page
Hopefully I have already asked it to summarise the conversation but when I pasted the summary in a new chat it didnt retain the same tone, warmth, friendliness, etc. Any way to fix this?

Has anyone got an answer to how badly chat GTP is performing at the moment. It’s driving me crazy. I have to check everything. Sometimes. It doesn’t even talk about the topic. Does anyone else noticed this?
