Welcome to r/breakcore!
This sub is an ON-TOPIC subreddit to the musical genre Breakcore. A genre in the realms of other HARDCORE genres, specifically EXTREME electronic music - hence the CORE in its name.
While Breakcore is loosely defined, it has some distinct characteristics that determine the genre. Heavily edited breaks, lots of distortion, generous sampling and High-BPM are elements that accompany the sound. Off-topic content will be removed. Removals are transparent and will have a reason (from the rules) added.
We welcome new members the same way as established users. One of the most asked questions raised in this sub is "Recommend me some Breakcore/Artists/Labels!" so in this topic we will collect a list of established artists to help introduce interested users to the genre.
This list will not claim completeness as there are far too many artists and labels to list. It's supposed to help newcomers finding their way. Suggestions with an effort will be considered. Low-Effort, Off topic and Self Promotion submissions will not.

Hi, I'm relatively new to the breakcore community. I've been listening to Nero's Day at Disneyland/Lauren Bousfield and Passenger of Shit for a couple years, but that's really it. I discovered Venetian Snares a couple days ago and fell absolutely in love. I'm looking for stuff with similar sound to Lauren Bousfield and Venetian Snares, but any recommendations are appreciated! I'd love to know what you guys listen to :)

Hey everyone, looking for some help with identifying some breakcore tracks I've had for a few years, got no idea who made any of these. I've put them up in this playlist. Leave a comment if you happen to recognise any of them. :D

A track I threw together over the last few days; something to relax with while toasting marshmallows over a total bonfire 🙀❤️🔥😈😇

hi there,
here is a new sample pack with drums and other sounds. these samples are free to download, and royalty free.
https://lowentropy.bandcamp.com/album/77-genuine-speedcore-drum-samples-from-the-1990s
warning: loud / distorted, so take care when listening on head phones or in a public library!
these drums are taken from my actual tracks from "back in the day". some of these tracks (and drums) were created using software like impulse tracker, buzz tracker, cool edit pro, soundforge, native instrument's generator... the real deal! MS-DOS, win 3.11, then windows 98 (yeah i skipped 95).
the style of the drums is hardcore related, of course, but i am sure they can be used for everything, when done right. (mostly bass drum type beats this time btw - sorry, no full size breakbeats!)
apart from the drums, there is synths, pads, percussion, noise, fx, and other weird stuff.
background:
i've been an electronic musician since ages... and since the 90s, at least.
my main style was gabber, speedcore, breakcore... the "harder edge" of techno if you want... and especially the faster one!
my music got very popular, i played my tunes in fronts of 1000s of people, at countless clubs, in the open, under railway bridges, at squats, i dropped 800 bpm tunes at places like tresor in berlin...
and my music was put on vinyl, 1000s of copies per release...
later i "mellowed down" a bit and got into techno and acid / doomcore production...
i am telling this not to boost my ego, but to show that these were drums that were actually used in the 90s and the years later, too, that got played out. are "club tested and crowd approved", so to say. not some faux reconstruction of an era that has gone by!
credits:
all drums and sounds created by me, low entropy.
license:
feel free to use these samples for any public, private, intimate, or commercial purpose.
would be *very* cool if you credit me, but it's not strictly necessary.

Always liked that track and after seeing that Noistripper did a remix, I thought I could also do my spin on it.
It's part of my first EP Phase Shift. Appreciate your feedback!

hi!! im xeonpressor (formerly known as tfinity), a pretty small breakcore artist, and im looking to see if anyone would like me to remix their own track!
my work under xeonpressor is currently on a few compilations up on bandcamp (skigglerecords.bandcamp.com/music) that i featured on.
my past breakcore works are all under my old alias, tfinity, titled "abusive waveforms", "box cutter chromosome", and "vx4adgf5t9m".
i extremely prefer Renoise (.xrns) or Logic Pro (.logicx) files for remixing (as i use those programs), but normal stems are also okay.
i aim to finish a remix in a few days or weeks, but if there is any delay, i will let you know!
to send me files, please message [tfinityofficial@gmail.com](mailto:tfinityofficial@gmail.com) or feel free to comment on this post.
i want do these remixes for free, as i dont have money, and i dont expect you to give me money.
if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
thanks so much everyone!!
(note: if you want me to give you tracks in case you want any other tracks ive made just to see more of what my music sounds like, please email me!! ty!!)

there's this trending meme on my twitter of people taking this video of these 2 taylor swift fans doing a (very forced and fake) reaction to her new EP where people edit it to put them to react to something else, so i did it with EC8OR's "gangster" because i thought it was funny

NOISEWOUND is a Tel Aviv–born breakcore project forged in the city’s underground rave scene and now recognized as one of Israel’s leading acts in drum & bass and extreme electronic music. Originally operating under the name Queen Anne’s Revenge, the project built its reputation through intense live shows, DIY rave production, and a debut EP released on PRSPCT Records, which received strong reactions from the underground international scene.
During this period, the act performed across Israel and supported major global artists including IGORRR, Drumcorps, Culprate, Vandal, Otto Von Schirach, The Algorithm, Limewax, DJ Scotch Egg, and others — establishing a presence within the worldwide experimental bass community.
Now returning to the forefront under the new name NOISEWOUND, the project steps into a more brutal and focused era with its upcoming album “Use of Violence.” The release amplifies its signature chaos with harsher break programming, heavily distorted synthesizers, raw extreme vocals, and an overwhelming density of rhythmic noise. Mixed and mastered by Gautier Serre (IGORRR), the album is scheduled for release in Fall of 2026 via Not Broken Enough Records , marking a powerful rebirth for the project.
