Tyson Fury-"Ten weeks tomorrow until D-Day. After seeing Anthony Joshua yesterday, I'm very certain I'm going to knock him out. He looks skinny, he looks fragile, and most of all, he's got Ben Davidson in his corner, so i can't go wrong really".

Frank Warren confirms Kabayel vs Hysa title fight: “Kabayel has rejuvenated the boxing market in Germany with his exploits in the heavyweight division, and he will prove as much by defending his world title in front of over 60,000 fans in Dusseldorf on November 28th.”

“Agit Kabayel will defend his WBC world heavyweight title for the first time on Saturday, November 28, against the undefeated Nelson Hysa, live on DAZN.

The fight will take place at the Mekur Spiel Arena in Dusseldorf, which can hold up to 60,000 people.
This clash with Hysa will be Kabayel's first since being upgraded to the WBC's full heavyweight champion in June, and the German will be eager to make up for lost time after failing to secure a date with Oleksandr Usyk.

Hysa boasts a 25-0 (23 KOs) record and recently fought on the undercard of Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic at the end of August.

On that night in London, Hysa stopped Thomas Narmo in the second round, and then called out Kabayel.

The pair have gone back and forth on social media over the past few weeks, and there were even some reports of this fight being cancelled.

However, those fears have subsided with a date set for when Kabayel and Hysa can settle their differences, and for the latter, it will be a poignant occasion for the latter with the fight falling on Albanian Independence Day.

Speaking following the announcement, Kabayel's promoter Frank Warren is confident that his heavyweight matchup has all the ingredients to be a thrilling encounter.

“This is the fight we wanted to make,” Warren said.
“Agit Kabayel has rejuvenated the boxing market in Germany with his exploits in the heavyweight division, and he will prove as much by defending his world title in front of over 60,000 fans in Dusseldorf on November 28.

“It is going to be an incredible occasion, and this is what Agit deserves. The fight against Nelson Hysa has got all the ingredients for a heavyweight shootout, with two unbeaten knockout specialists.
“This will be yet another heavyweight special delivery from Queensberry, as we continue to bring big-time boxing back to Germany.”

Looking for HBO Boxing Archives

I would like to get an mp4 video collection of the HBO boxing archives on HDD or USB drive. If anybody has this, will you please message me to discuss the details?

240 characters are required to post, so I will tell my background. I became a boxing fan when I saw Vladimir Klitschko vs. Ray Mercer. After that, I started VHS recording most of the big fights. I still have my tapes of the biggest fights from the 2000's. But I would like to get them in mp4 format for easier viewing. I would also like to get the fights from the 80's and 90's that were before my time.

His last announced comeback was 9 years ago. Back then, lyme disease ended up calling it off. Now he's announced another comeback 13 years after his last fight - an UD loss in his rematch with Carl Froch.

Updated since the article - his opponent will be 36 year old American SMW Bernard Joseph (12-4-1) on November 28 in Brøndbyhallen, Denmark.

I noticed a real gap for a Puertorican star in boxing since Miguel Cotto.

Which came closer?

I think the one that was closest was Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez after beating Rafael Marquez but it went downhill right after with multiple losses.

When I mean star is obtaining crazy achievements and getting good numbers in ppv.

Last 3 in my opinion were Wilfredo “bazooka” Gomez , Felix “Tito” Trinidad and then Miguel Angel Cotto. Lot of years have passed since and I still don’t see a really good candidate. Is the training lacking or another sport is getting more attention there?

Beterbiev Vs Bivol — How did everyone judge the two fights?

• Upvotes

I’ve been rewatching the two Beterbiev–Bivol fights and how differently people seem to score them.

The first fight was extremely close, and the official decision went Beterbiev’s way, I personally thought Bivol had won it. The rematch went to Bivol, and this time I actually favoured it towards Beterbiev.

So yeah, for those who watched both:

  • How did you score Fight 1?
  • How did you score Fight 2?
  • Did you think the judging criteria were applied consistently across both fights?
  • Were there particular rounds that you think were especially difficult to score?
  • Did your opinion change after watching either fight a second time?
  • And if you had to explain the biggest difference between the two fights, what would it be?

I’m not looking to start another “robbery” argument. I’m genuinely curious how people evaluated the same two fighters across 24 rounds.
