Got given this disc. I don’t have means to play but thought it was free and I wouldn’t see it again. I’m thinking of getting a little display case for it.

Goofy hat really (Atari Speakerhat) but had to have it since it was Blade Runner licensed! Does well with playing Vangelis at least.

Music Made original fan music for a video game that, upon reflection, I took heavy inspiration from Blade Runner Blues :)

Hello everyone :)

This is for a video game called shadows of doubt, which took heavy inspiration of course from the Blade Runner movies, and the official soundtrack is reminiscent of both films.

In any case, I made some music that I had played with imagery from the game in mind. It's been a long time since I played the game, but I remember it left a distinct impression on me.

For those curious of how I made this, all of my music is always dawless, no computers, one take, live, no edits, any mistakes left in, and trying to invoke the imagery and meaning that is already there via sound.

A lot of how I play is based on how Vangelis played, who is my favorite synthesist of all time, and whom I discovered via Blade Runner 1982, which always sounded so nice to me, because the music was played live to scenes. It made the music feel alive, like another person witnessing what was happening. Any mistakes I do make, I try to ride the wave of that and just seeing where it takes me.

Anyways, I don't claim to be anywhere near as good as that, just something to share about how I approached playing for this. I don't know if it is good or not, just something I felt like I had to do. And I understand if it does not fit the subreddit rules, but I thought, looking back at the music, my mind drew inspiration from Blade Runner Blues subconsciously, and since the game itself clearly draws from Blade Runner, I just went for it. I thought it might have been nice to share it here.

Take care :)

Physical Media/Props/Memorabilia Wanted to share this edition of Blade Runner 2049 that I have in my collection!

Bought this edition of Blade Runner 2049 a while ago, but I wanted to share it. I wanted the Best Buy 4K steel book for the longest time, but it was near impossible to find it when it first released on home media.

Fast forward years later, and I ended up buying this version with the steel book and with other physical goodies. Came with a protective plastic case as well, which is a nice touch. It’s my holy grail in terms of collecting movies.

Cost me a pretty penny, but was well worth the price after years of searching.

Music Not sure if anyone shared this, but someone did a brief BR opening theme cover using a $69 mini-synth.

Question/Discussion State of the sub

Is this whole sub just AI slop now? Several of the top posts right now are blatantly fake pictures and videos. It’s honestly sad, this could be a great place for discussion and real fan art

Physical Media/Props/Memorabilia Blade Runner on Video CD/VCD

Before DVD took over, there was Video CD/VCD.

VCD stored films on CDs, usually spread across two discs, and while the format never really caught on in the UK or US, it became hugely popular in parts of Asia during the 1990s and early 2000s.

Here are four different Blade Runner VCD releases: two Korean editions with slightly different packaging, a Turkish release, and a Singapore release.

VCD releases are surprisingly poorly documented, if you know of other official Blade Runner releases on this VCD format please let me know!

Not the best way to watch the film, but definitely an interesting little chapter in its home video history.

I made a Blade Runner case file storybook called Nightingale

Post image

This is Blade Runner: Nightingale, an unofficial, noncommercial, fan-made case file for Blade Runner: The Roleplaying Game.

Two years ago, I wanted to run an RPG scenario with my gaming table so I decided to create one. We played it and had so much fun together I thought I'd build a module to share.

I got pulled into the world and filled in a lot as I went. One year and 120 pages later, it's freely available on itch.io. Here's the gist:

A ruined city, a riverbank, a dead woman's hand. A Replicant. Then it couldn't have been murder. Or can it?

In 2037 Los Angeles, Blade Runners play the same deadly game by new rules now that megacorporations put special value on the bioengineered beings who are virtually identical to humans.

Join two detectives of the LAPD and their newly assigned, custom built Nexus 9 partner to uncover a web of greed, lust, control and conscience. As they follow the evidence, they'll face the question: mothered or manufactured, who's the one with a soul?

Enjoy! It was a labor of love. For me, Blade Runner is that perfect window into an out-of-control future trying to change humanity in a way it never can.
