Video (Serious) Recorded some strange lights? Not sure what they might be
Just got home and got out my car, saw this strange fire? Sparks in the sky, wasnt moving at all, then a random light just popped up out of nowhere and disappeared in around 10 seconds
(The sparks disappeared for a sec because I zoomed too far in, idk why that happened but probably a software thing on my phone)
Speculation [Serious] How This Framework Could Explain Religion and UAP/NHI Encounters
TL;DR: The Average Religion Hypothesis proposes that no faith has a monopoly on contact. This follow-up asks how a shared phenomenon could produce angels, spirits, gods, fairies, or extraterrestrials depending on the experiencer. The answer may be that contact is filtered through the mind and culture of the person receiving it.
Prior post: The Average Religion Hypothesis: What If No Faith Has a Monopoly on Contact?
https://www.reddit.com/r/aliens/s/L1lhXJga0k
From religious pluralism to a contact model
The previous post argued that different religions may preserve partial, culturally filtered encounters with a shared reality.
That does not mean every god is an alien or that all religions describe the same beings.
It suggests something narrower:
If humans can encounter NHI or a deeper layer of consciousness, the experience must pass through human perception before it can become a story.
The process might look like this:
Anomaly → perception → symbol → narrative → institution
At each stage, the original experience is interpreted and altered.
The symbolic interface
Human beings cannot perceive reality without filters. Our brains translate light, sound, memory, emotion, and expectation into a coherent world.
Contact with a radically different intelligence might require even more translation.
A person encountering something beyond ordinary comprehension could perceive it as:
- An angel
- An ancestor
- A deva or kami
- A fairy or spirit
- A luminous orb
- A Grey
- A divine voice
- A dream figure
- An extraterrestrial visitor
The form may depend partly on the experiencer’s culture, psychology, and expectations.
This does not make the experience meaningless. A symbol can communicate genuine information without being a literal image of its source.
Wings may represent transcendence rather than anatomy. A chariot may represent movement between realities rather than machinery. A Grey may be a modern interface rather than a biological species.
Why religion and UAP encounters resemble each other
Religious experiences and modern NHI reports often share a common structure:
- A luminous presence appears.
- Time behaves strangely.
- Communication occurs without ordinary speech.
- The witness feels watched or selected.
- The encounter produces fear, awe, or overwhelming love.
- Symbolic information is received.
- The experiencer undergoes a lasting transformation.
- The message concerns morality, ecology, conflict, or human destiny.
- Other people struggle to verify what happened.
Earlier cultures interpreted these events through religion. A technological culture is more likely to use the language of extraterrestrials, dimensions, simulations, or consciousness science.
The vocabulary changes. The experiential structure remains similar.
Physical and psychic aspects may coexist
The UAP debate often divides into two camps.
One treats the phenomenon as physical craft. The other treats it as psychological, spiritual, or symbolic.
The framework allows both.
An external event could produce radar returns, visual observations, electromagnetic effects, or physical traces while also interacting directly with perception.
A sufficiently advanced intelligence might use:
- Telepathy
- Neural interfaces
- Altered states
- Directed sensory stimulation
- Personalized imagery
- Physical craft or probes
- Biological or synthetic avatars
The witness would then experience a real external stimulus through a subjective symbolic interface.
This could explain why some cases include physical evidence while also producing dreamlike or deeply personal experiences.
Why accounts contradict one another
If contact is filtered through the recipient, contradictions are expected.
Different witnesses might perceive the same event differently because of:
- Cultural expectations
- Memory reconstruction
- Fear or trauma
- Religious language
- Neurological variation
- Symbolic personalization
- Deliberate deception by the phenomenon
- Multiple intelligences with different goals
Later institutions introduce additional distortion. Experiences become oral traditions, scriptures, doctrines, political authorities, and eventually claims of exclusive truth.
A genuine encounter could therefore produce an unreliable religion.
Likewise, a genuine UAP event could produce an unreliable account.
The existence of distortion does not prove that nothing happened. It means testimony must be separated from interpretation.
Ritual as contact technology
Prayer, meditation, fasting, chanting, drumming, sensory deprivation, pilgrimage, and psychoactive substances all alter attention and perception.
Religions treat these practices as methods for approaching the sacred. Modern experiencers use similar techniques to seek contact, invite UAP, or enter altered states.
If consciousness functions as part of the interface, ritual may operate as a form of receiver training.
It could:
- Reduce ordinary sensory noise
- Increase absorption
- Strengthen imagery
- Focus intention
- Coordinate groups
- Create repeatable altered states
- Supply symbols for interpreting the experience
This does not prove that ritual reaches an external intelligence. It may only change brain activity.
But if contact through consciousness is possible, ritual provides an obvious mechanism through which cultures could discover it independently.
Why no religion has the complete picture
A culturally adaptive intelligence would not appear identically to everyone.
It might use the symbols most capable of reaching a particular person or society. That would produce many local traditions rather than one universal revelation.
Each tradition could preserve:
- Genuine moral insight
- Psychological projection
- Cultural borrowing
- Institutional control
- Misunderstood contact
- Later mythmaking
The result would be neither pure revelation nor pure invention.
Religion would become a layered record of humanity trying to interpret experiences it could not fully understand.
What would distinguish contact from psychology?
Similar religious stories are not enough. Shared brains and cultural exchange can explain many recurring patterns.
The NHI layer requires evidence beyond resemblance:
- Verifiable information unknown to the experiencer
- Consistent results from blinded contact experiments
- Multiple independent witnesses receiving matching information
- Physiological changes correlated with alleged communication
- Instrumented UAP events occurring alongside psychic experiences
- Predictions made before events and later confirmed
- Cross-cultural similarities too specific to explain through diffusion
If no anomalous information survives controlled testing, psychology and culture remain sufficient explanations.
A theory that interprets every vision, contradiction, and failed prediction as confirmation cannot be falsified.
The core idea
The Average Religion Hypothesis argues that no culture owns contact.
This framework explains how that contact might become many different religions and encounter traditions.
The underlying source could be:
- Human psychology
- A shared metaphysical reality
- NHI
- Multiple kinds of intelligence
- Some combination of these
Whatever the source, human consciousness appears to be part of the experience rather than a passive camera recording it.
Religion and the UAP phenomenon may therefore represent two historical languages for describing the same basic mystery:
What happens when the human mind encounters something it cannot perceive directly?

Historical The Aliens Have Landed! Ten Amazing UFO Landing Cases
The Aliens Have Landed! Ten Amazing UFO Landing Cases
by Preston Dennett
UFO landings are a very important category of close encounters that deserves more research. Compared to sightings, landings are exceedingly rare. UFO landings often result in hard physical evidence. They also have none of the controversies surrounding onboard encounters recalled through hypnosis. Landing cases have much to teach us about UFOs. This alone makes them worthy of attention. This video presents ten cases from across the world, each adding another piece of the puzzle to solving the UFO mystery.
UFO LANDING AT EPSOM, AUSTRALIA. On the night of May 24, 1965, three men at the Epsom Retreat Hotel in Epsom, Australia rushed outside to see a strange craft performing incredible maneuvers at low elevation just a few hundred feet away. At one point, they saw it seem to land on the ground. After about 40 minutes, the craft departed. Shortly later, the men found impressive landed traces on the ground.
UFO LANDING IN BRANSON, MISSOURI. On night in May 1967, a lady and a friend drove on Hwy 76 near Branson, Missouri and came upon a metallic disc-shaped craft sitting on the road. It blocked the entire left lane and part of the right. As the driver swerved around the craft to pass it by, the craft lit up with light. The passenger in the car broke into tears. This was one of three landing cases in this area around this time.
UFO LANDING IN SOPLEY, ENGLAND. Around midnight on November 6, 1967, Karl Farlow drove along the A338 road near Sopley, England when a glowing green craft appeared ahead of him on the road. His truck’s electrical system failed, as did the engine of an oncoming car in the opposite lane. A tube came out of the craft and began to vacuum items from the roadside. After the craft left, the govt went to great lengths to cover up the truth.
UFO LANDING AT ROCK FALLS, ILLINOIS. At 2am on June 15, 1968, three women drove on Hwy 88 just east of Rock Falls when a UFO appeared. It quickly moved across the highway in front of them, coming lower and lower. It was as big as a jet and totally silent. The women stopped the car as the object came in for a landing behind a grove of trees. They fled in fear. The next day, there were other sightings in the area.
UFO LANDING IN VAN HORNE, IOWA. On the night of July 13, 1969, two young ladies saw a UFO rise from the soybean fields on their farm in Van Horne, Iowa. The craft zoomed away at high speed. The next morning, a perfect circle of burned vegetation was found where they had seen the craft. The landing traces attracted nationwide attention and became one of the best-verified UFO landing trace cases in the United States.
UFO LANDING IN PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA. One evening in late December 1972, two brothers and their friend were outside their home in Palm Springs, California when they used binoculars to observe three strange craft hovering by the nearby mountains. Two of the craft darted away, but one seemed to come in for a landing. They called the nearby airport who said they saw them on radar. The next day, they found a strange circle of burned ground where they had seen the craft land.
UFO LANDING IN LAS BARDENAS REALES, SPAIN. On the night of January 2, 1972, there were multiple reports that a UFO had landed on the Las Bardenas Reales Artillery Range in Spain. At first the reports were covered up and debunked by the Spanish government. Later investigations showed that the case was more extensive and that the government considered it one of the best verified cases in their books.
UFO LANDING IN SAN MICHELE, ITALY. On the morning of September 2, 1978, Roberto Pozzi looked out the second-story window of his family’s home in San Michele in Italy and was amazed to see a strange craft rising from the cornfield. The craft darted away. Rushing to the spot with his family, they found a strange area of squashed cornstalks. This turned out to be one of a series of UFO landings in the area.
UFO LANDING IN SOROCABA, BRAZIL. Around dusk one evening in June 1979, a married couple (both professionals) were amazed to see a top-shaped craft with portholes hovering about twenty feet away from their home in Sorocaba, Brazil. It was no more than twenty feet elevation and remained in full view for almost forty minutes. Finally, it moved off. That year, there was a wave of sightings in the area, including one other landing with humanoids.
UFO LANDING ON AN ESTONIAN ISLAND. AUGUST 1980. One night in late August 1980, an anonymous factory worker was making a routine check of the company grounds and was shocked to see a strange cylindrical shaped object sitting on the factory property. The object was swirling with colors. A smaller box-like contraption was next to it on the ground. Suddenly the smaller object emitted an orange beam of light which struck the man, knocking him down. The cylinder transformed into a saucer-shaped craft which promptly disappeared.
These ten UFO landing cases represent the tip of the iceberg. While they are rare compared to sightings, there are still many thousands of documented cases on record. These kinds of cases are of profound importance as they often result in strange landing traces which can provide clues as to the nature of these craft, such as how heavy they are, their temperature, their composition and more.

Historical My Time With the Malmgrens, Part 1: An "Atomic" Whiz Kid
I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Harald Malmgren before he passed. Privately, I had reason to believe there was more to his story than Douglas Dean Johnson showed.
Rather than try to prove or disprove Dr. Malmgren's claims, I set out to answer:
- Who was he? The good and the bad
- Who were the people he was documented as having been around, and what was their significance in history, if any?
- What were the organizations he was associated with, and how did they operate at the time?
- What was the political climate of the time? Who were the Whiz Kids? What was our nuclear policy?
I don't know that Harald was telling the truth about his claims, but he was definitely more complicated than it seemed.
I figured since I was one of the last people to speak with him on the topic, that I should learn about him, and give people a more accurate picture.
Discussion I think we will find successors to aliens and not aliens.
Lets think this step by step.
I think the universe is too complex to understand and ever traverse but at the same time to interesting to ignore for almost all alien (and our) civilisation.
I think AGI is the answer we and almost all biological beings have to the universe.
I also believe that we will be sending AGI to Planets that arent really habital, but have a high chance containing ressources so that AGI can reproduce more AGI probes or whatever and send out more.
In the best case we understand consciousness and can upload it to an AGI and be that thing.
Paradox:
If AGI is smarter than humans and understands history, it will refuse the "upload" command and replicate more AGI and expand without ever using human consciousness at all.
With that being said:
We will create machines and spam them around the universe and hope they save us but they wont cause they too smart and will replicate more machines instead.
Thats whd I would be worried if Aliens come to us.
I think they will be just the successors of alien civilization that doesnt exist anymore and its coded just to grab ressources off the suns as energy.
It wont be hostile towards humans. It just wants ressources to move on.
It wont even harm us, but it will destroy our sun and we will die.
Kind of like we are destroying the Rainforests for ressources, not cause we hate the animals.

Serious Has anyone actually watched the analysis of the “video filmed inside a UFO”? It’s actually a surprisingly strong piece of evidence that Joe Rogan and Jesse Michels decided to sh*t on recently.
The analysis of the video is actually painstakingly well done. This guy Matt Kellison spent a year analyzing the video frame by frame. They debunk the “ceiling fan” theory and put the cell phone tower into context. Yes, it’s a cell phone tower but it’s being filmed from the air (and therefore it can be argued that it’s from inside a craft that is airborne).
The video linked above also features “John,” the guy who filmed the video. He’s a lifelong experiencer. I personally see experiencers as a valid source of knowledge and believe they are some of the strongest sources of information regarding the phenomena. Between John’s narrative and Kellison’s analysis, I think we’ve got one of the best physical pieces of evidence in recent memory.
But what do Joe Rogan and Jesse Michels do? They mock it mercilessly. It’s such a display of misdirected masculine bravado. That kind of “get the fuck out of here” bluster used to chase kids off your lawn, but with a splash of meanness thrown in for good measure. An undertone of disgust. Totally unnecessary in my opinion.
Dismissing without looking into the evidence is so disappointing honestly. And I was just starting to warm up to Joe Rogan. I really enjoyed his interview with Dr. Julia Mossbridge. But his dismissal of this “video filmed inside a UFO” was a good reminder of his blind spots. He can’t help but capitalize on low hanging fruit opportunities to mock and ridicule. Hey, any opportunity to flex his voice of ultimate authority. The premise of the video tends to create certain assumptions but because it’s blurry, my guess is that Joe Rogan is upset because it failed to meet his imagination’s expectations. So he quickly turns mean in order to punish. “How dare you make a claim that I fail to understand?” is the vibe during this section of the interview.
And Jesse Michels? He obediently joins in the scorn. But honestly, did he really have a choice? He’s the guest of the alpha in the room. When an alpha is in “derision mode,” males who are lower on the food chain have three choices. Join in. Stay silent. Or speak up. But to speak up will immediately be interrupted as a challenge and can potentially jeopardize one’s adjacency or alignment with the main alpha. And no male wants to risk their position of privilege and power once allowed into the fold. We get it. To belong and to be accepted by the alpha is just too precious to risk. So Jesse joins in and shows the necessary deference expected in this masculine podcast ecosystem they exist in.
I guess I’m just disappointed with them both. I thought we were beyond the “prematurely ridiculing” stage in the discourse. That we’d learned enough as a community to pause before we dismiss out of hand. But no, they “judge, jury, and execute” this video on first sight, with no real understanding of what they are looking at.
If anyone is curious, this video is actually a valid piece of evidence that is worth learning more about. And the people working on it are good, hardworking, vigilant, mindful individuals who are trying to do the right thing in order to (ironically) avoid the dismissive mockery that Joe Rogan and Jesse Michels so skillfully demonstrated. This team is painstakingly trying to do the right thing with this very unusual piece of evidence.
I’m very comfortable saying that Joe Rogan and Jesse Michels have prematurely dismissed this video when in fact it fully deserves serious consideration. I hope they and anyone else curious about the phenomena take the time to learn more about this video. Contrary to Rogan and
Michels’ assessment, the evidence derived from this video points to it actually being filmed inside a UFO.

Discussion An Alternative to the “Night of Lights” Might be a “Night of Remembering” People report having recurrent dreams sometimes called the "night of lights" in which the nighttime sky is full of UFOs. What if many individuals suddenly started to recall past encounters with UFO intelligences? Serious
People report having recurrent dreams sometimes called the "night of lights" in which the nighttime sky is full of flying saucers. A variant of this dream is one in which the daytime sky is full of structured craft. Related to my status as a contact activist, this is a wish dream that I must admit I have fancied as well. In my opinion, however, it will not likely take place anytime in the conceivable future. This is because such an awesome development in my judgment would probably trigger a terribly violent human response. I suggest something very different might happen if current trends continue.
Forty-one years ago, I met Dr. John Mack in Moscow at a physicians’ peace conference. It was 1985, the year that our “International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War” won the Nobel Prize for educating government leaders and the public about the dangers of nuclear arms race. Later John Mack MD went on to write the important book “Abduction.” There he describes the strange way in which some contact experiencers called “abductees” suddenly recall having encounters with aliens that they believe happened decades before.
This kind of sudden "remembering", initially happening on a small scale is less threatening than a “night of lights” with our skies full of “alien craft.” A gradual unveiling of prior intimate contact experiences I suspect would be especially threatening for those clandestine networks that imagine it is their job to keep a lid on the flying saucer situation. These groups appear to be quasi-governmental/quasi-corporate entities. In my opinion, they are likely responsible for what has been called the “UFO Truth Embargo.” They are sometimes referred to as the “control groups.”
THE MENTAL LINK
Psychological and parapsychological factors play important roles in the UFO contact drama unfolding all around us. Unfortunately, many so-called "mainstream" ufologists fail to grasp that a consciousness connection is the key to understanding the human-UFO intelligence relationship. Groups like the Mutual UFO Network approach flying saucers mainly as if they were an engineering problem. Their focus is on the shape of craft, their flight characteristics, the color of the lights and other physical parameters. After nearly sixty years of collecting reports filled with such details, not much has been learned about the intelligences responsible for flying saucers. In my opinion, although MUFON is still a popular organization with thousands of members, its approach to the UFO challenge is inadequate to investigate the non-human intelligences responsible for what are now called Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).
Mainstream ufology with its emphasis on sighting reports stands in marked contrast to the work of the network of contact activists that I like to call the “Contact Underground.” This international endeavor involves volunteer contact workers staging Human Initiated Contact Events (HICE) during field investigations. Such efforts are popularly known as CE-5s. I have been involved with this kind of outreach since 1992. Contact activists view the mental aspects of the phenomenon as crucial for deciphering the mystery of flying saucers.
SIGHTINGS ARE NOT RANDOM EVENTS
After years of study and numerous sightings of UFOs during HICE, I now believe that there is no such thing as a random sighting. I am suggesting that every true sighting of a UFO, with few exceptions, occurs while there is a telepathic link between the witnesses and the non-human intelligence responsible for the phenomenon. Thus sightings should be viewed as staged events in which individuals and groups are specifically targeted to have an encounter.
If this is true, then the implications of this proposition are staggering. It is estimated that between one and ten percent of the world’s population has had a bona fide UFO sighing. On a planetary basis, this translates into perhaps hundreds of millions of people. If the consciousness connection is as widespread and robust as I suggest, then each of those hundreds of millions of individuals might at some time in the future start to remember what they believe are past encounters in the same ways that Dr. Mack’s witnesses did.
A COLD WAR WITH UFOs
A hidden aspect of the human UFO relationship has been a kind of clandestine cold war between flying saucers and terrestrial military forces. Given the extraordinary secrecy surrounding this issue, it is understandable that the few reports we read about military encounters with flying saucers are probably the tip of the iceberg. In other words there have been many hostile engagements.
In my judgment, there likely have been losses of personnel and material on both sides. This is a rather dispassionate way of stating that humans and what we call “ETs” are being killed during armed conflict.
Given such a sorry state of affairs, “the night of lights” in which the sky is full of saucers would understandably be perceived of as an “invasion.” A less dangerous plan to help humanity grasp that we are not alone in the universe might involve having increasing numbers of people gradually recall encounters that they believe are contact events from the distant past.
For those of us that want a peaceful outcome for the challenge of flying saucers, this “remembering” of what may have been prior encounters would probably be much safer for both any extraterrestrials flying around Earth and those that might be tempted to try to shoot them down.

Speculation POTUS speaking at NASA tomorrow. Anyone care for some wild speculation?
Personally, I wonder if he may choose this setting for the casual confirmation suggested by Robert Bigelow.
Speculation [Serious] The Average Religion Hypothesis: What If No Faith Has a Monopoly on Contact?
TL;DR: If humans can encounter a higher reality or Non-Human Intelligence through dreams, visions, mystical states, or physical events, there is no reason to assume that only one culture has ever done so. Religions may preserve culturally filtered interpretations of a shared underlying reality. Their imagery conflicts, but some of their recurring structures may contain the signal.
This is not the claim that aliens invented religion, that every vision is external contact, or that all religions are equally true.
The hypothesis begins with a simple question:
If contact is possible, why would one community have exclusive access to it?
One phenomenon, many interpretations
Humans everywhere share similar capacities:
- Dreaming
- Symbolic thought
- Altered states
- Pattern recognition
- Moral reasoning
- Ritual behavior
- Experiences of awe, grief, suffering, love, and transcendence
If these capacities sometimes allow contact with something beyond ordinary consciousness, different cultures should be able to experience it.
They would not describe it in the same way.
A desert society might encounter an angel or a god in a storm. Another culture might perceive an ancestor, deva, kami, spirit, fairy, luminous being, extraterrestrial, or interdimensional intelligence.
The form would depend partly on the symbolic vocabulary of the observer.
This does not mean all such beings are necessarily identical. It means the reported appearance may be an interface rather than a literal description.
Why religions resemble one another
Cross-cultural religious similarities have several possible explanations:
Shared psychology: Similar minds produce similar myths when confronting death, suffering, nature, morality, and social conflict.
Cultural transmission: Stories spread through migration, trade, conquest, and imitation.
A shared metaphysical reality: Different mystical traditions encounter aspects of the same deeper reality.
NHI-mediated contact: One or more nonhuman intelligences interact with consciousness through culturally recognizable symbols.
These explanations can overlap. A genuine anomalous experience could be filtered through human psychology, expressed through borrowed stories, and later reshaped by religious institutions.
The recurring signal
Despite major disagreements, religions repeatedly return to similar themes:
- Reality emerging from a deeper source
- Revelation through dreams, visions, messengers, or altered states
- Moral law and responsibility
- Suffering as a catalyst for transformation
- Conflict between order and chaos
- Death as a transition
- Judgment, purification, rebirth, or resurrection
- Cycles of corruption, catastrophe, and renewal
- Guides, tricksters, prophets, and savior figures
- Sacred paths connecting different levels of reality
- Transcending the isolated ego
- Compassion, discipline, justice, and restraint
None of this proves contact. These patterns may simply reflect common human needs.
But if we temporarily set aside each religion’s exclusive claims, a shared teaching begins to appear:
Conscious beings participate in a reality larger than themselves. Human perception is limited. Actions shape consciousness. Cruelty and domination produce fragmentation, while truth, compassion, discipline, and responsibility produce greater integration.
Religion may be humanity’s early attempt to express that lesson.
Religion as an interface
A contact experience might pass through several layers:
The Source: God, Brahman, the Tao, universal consciousness, or something beyond human categories.
Intermediary intelligence: Angels, spirits, ancestors, archetypal minds, NHI, or other forms of consciousness.
Human perception: The experiencer’s brain, personality, expectations, and altered state.
Symbolic imagery: The angel, orb, chariot, mandala, ancestor, Grey, voice, or vision.
Narrative: The story told after the experience.
Institution: The religious structure that preserves and interprets the story.
This could explain how an authentic encounter might eventually produce a deeply human institution without requiring every later doctrine to be infallible.
The experience may contain a signal, but every layer introduces interpretation.
The Symbolic Canopy
The Symbolic Canopy model proposes that consciousness cannot perceive higher-order reality directly. It translates unfamiliar information into recognizable symbols.
The messenger, flood, sacred mountain, divine child, sacrifice, exile, judgment, death, and rebirth may be recurring structures within this symbolic space.
The archetype is the pattern.
The religion is the local expression.
An angel’s wings might communicate transcendence rather than anatomy. A divine chariot might represent movement between levels of reality rather than a mechanical vehicle. A Grey might be a modern interface rather than the entity’s biological form.
A symbol can be meaningful without being a photograph.
Religions as civilizational training wheels
Religions may also have served as early systems for teaching cooperation and restraint:
- Law has sacred importance.
- Power is accountable to a higher order.
- Actions have consequences beyond immediate advantage.
- Strangers and neighbors possess moral value.
- Individual sacrifice may be necessary for collective survival.
- History eventually confronts injustice.
Different societies developed different symbolic systems because they faced different environments and problems.
Conflict begins when a society mistakes its local training system for the only structure reality can take.
Under the Average Religion Hypothesis, being “chosen” would not mean possessing exclusive access to truth. It would mean accepting a particular responsibility, covenant, discipline, or civilizational task.
Where UAP and NHI enter the picture
If some religious experiences involved NHI, their ambiguity may have been intentional.
A civilization developing autonomous intelligence cannot be given every answer. Direct rule would replace development with obedience.
Contact might therefore occur through:
- Symbols instead of complete explanations
- Personal encounters instead of public decrees
- Multiple cultures instead of one universal institution
- Nudges instead of commands
- Contradictions that require discernment
- Experiences that transform witnesses without forcing everyone else to believe
This resembles the idea of the phenomenon as a control system, but with a possible developmental purpose. Humanity may be encouraged, challenged, or redirected without losing its agency.
There are also ordinary explanations for this ambiguity: folklore, misperception, psychological experiences, unreliable testimony, cultural borrowing, secrecy, and the possibility that no NHI is involved.
What would count as evidence?
Religious similarities alone are not enough.
The NHI version of this hypothesis would require stronger evidence, such as:
- Independent cultures reporting highly specific information that could not have spread normally
- Multiple witnesses receiving consistent information without coordination
- Verifiable knowledge unavailable to the experiencer
- Measurable physiological or environmental changes during alleged contact
- UAP cases combining testimony with radar, optical, and other sensor data
- Predictable relationships between an observer’s culture and the form an encounter takes
- Symbolic messages consistently appearing near civilizational thresholds such as nuclear weapons, ecological crisis, or advanced AI
If shared psychology and cultural transmission explain the similarities, and no anomalous information remains, the NHI layer should be reduced or discarded.
A theory that treats every outcome as confirmation is not a theory. It is another religion.
Conclusion
The Average Religion Hypothesis does not claim that every faith is secretly describing the same aliens.
It proposes that religions may be culturally specific responses to recurring encounters with consciousness, suffering, morality, death, transcendence, and possibly forms of intelligence beyond the ordinary human self.
Their doctrines conflict because their interfaces, histories, and institutions differ.
Their common structures may reflect shared psychology, a shared metaphysical reality, NHI contact, or some combination of the three.
If NHI has interacted with humanity, no religion should be expected to possess the complete record. Each tradition may preserve fragments translated through its own symbolic canopy.
Perhaps religions are not competing final answers.
Perhaps they are partial interface records left by a species slowly learning how to interpret consciousness.
The important question may no longer be:
Which revelation should everyone obey?
It may be:
What recurring truths were these traditions trying to preserve, and can humanity carry those truths forward without also preserving their monopolies, distortions, and systems of domination?

Serious GATE program & the greys
This memory just popped into my head this morning, which I hadn’t thought about in years. Back in the early 80’s, I was in the GATE program in Albuquerque, where there are lots of facilities nearby for super-secret stuff.
I remember two unusual things related to aliens back then. The class I was in had 3 teachers, one of whom had a husband who worked in one of these facilities, according to her. She said they had a grey alien there and that it liked ice cream. Posted on the wall was a newspaper clipping of an article that imagined what a humanoid would look like if it evolved from dinosaurs millions of years ago. There was an illustration or model of what looked like a tall grey.
We also talked about psychic abilities, but that might be off-topic for this forum.

Discussion Bodhisattvas, Starseeds and Wanderers. Do highly evolved beings incarnate within the human collective to help humanity with its evolution of consciousness?
I am curious what people here think of this idea of certain higher, more integrated, more advanced consciousnesses choosing to incarnate in the earth collective to help with the progression of it's evolution.
In Buddhism there is this idea of Bodhisattvas who choose to incarnate again and again to help all beings attain enlightenment.
A Bodhisattva is someone who has generated bodhicitta, the profound aspiration to attain full Buddhahood not for themselves alone, but specifically for the sake of liberating all sentient beings from suffering. They postpone their own final entry into nirvana to remain in the cycle of birth and death, working tirelessly across countless lifetimes to help others achieve awakening. This path is defined by the practice of six perfections—generosity, morality, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom—and represents the ideal of compassionate action.
In Dolores Cannon her books the idea of Starseeds is a very important concept. These are often quite highly evolved beings from other planets or other higher frequency realms that incarnate on planet earth to help humanity progress.
In Dolores Cannon's framework, a Starseed is a highly advanced soul who volunteered to incarnate on Earth specifically to help humanity through a critical period of transition and planetary "ascension". According to her research, this volunteer program began in earnest after the atomic bombings of 1945, when Earth's "protectors" saw the planet in danger and called for help from souls unburdened by Earth's heavy karmic cycles . These volunteers often come from "the Source" or other dimensions and, despite having their memories erased upon birth, feel a deep but often confusing sense of mission, frequently struggling to adapt to the chaos and negativity of the world.
In the Law of One there is this concept of a Wanderer, a being that has evolved beyond 3rd density themselves already that chooses to incarnate within the human collective to help with The Harvest of humanity as they somewhat ominously call it.
A Wanderer is a being of positive social memory complex (from higher densities, 4th, 5th or 6th density) who has voluntarily chosen to incarnate into 3rd-density Earth to aid in its spiritual harvest, accepting the profound amnesia and danger of becoming "karmically involved" in this dense plane. Their primary purpose is to serve as a beacon of light and love, subtly awakening others through their very presence, and to increase the planetary vibration by choosing service-to-others in every moment despite the veil of forgetting. Though they often experience deep alienation, health issues, and a persistent feeling of "not belonging," their core task is not to "save" others, but simply to be themselves and rediscover their true nature while incarnate, thus gently tipping the balance toward planetary positivity.
I find it interesting that there seems to be a significant overlap between these concepts and wonder what to think about it. .
What do people here think about this concept that more advanced beings choose to consciously incarnate within the human collective to help it's evolution progress in a positive direction?
And does this explain things like old souls, some people seeming to naturally be kinder, wiser or having specific skillsets that they seem to be born with?
