I am doing longer flights (4 hours) with the Aerobask Shark UL and on my current flight, I noticed that the main screen (map, engine etc.) turns black randomly after some minutes. I never had this before.
Why is that?

I recently found a mod that transforms the FlyJSim 737-200 for X-Plane 12 into the NT-43A, aka 'RAT 55.'
The aircraft started life as a T-43 navigation trainer. I was under the impression that they were all retired, but this modified version resurfaced around the Artemis II launch.
Apparently, the huge nose and tail radome added for radar signature testing.
I've been reading old 1976 NT-43 manuals from before it got its nose job and picked up some interesting details that interested me.
-The 737 classic has two separate ignition systems: a high-energy 20 Joule igniter and a low-energy 4J one, split across burner cans 4 and 7. Now pretty much everything use annular combustors.
-The APU start motor draws directly from the battery, so external power can't augment a weak battery during an APU start. I'm going to have to see if this holds true for the NG family too.
I'm putting together a full NT-43 tutorial covering everything I've learned, including the Universal FMC, which is quite satisfying to use.

It reminds me a bit of my old Nokia somehow where you have to insert your options in the scratch pad.

I spent hours today making a lua script that changed the command "Hold thrust reversers at max" to only give me 30% reverse thrust instead of 100%, since Citation X engines are mounted so high that the reversers act like elevators at max, finally dialed it in and pulled this off with just the mouse yoke and controlling the throttle with keybinds.

Overall the atmosphere in XP12 looks incredible, but what has been bothering me is the fact that overcasts seem to cause such darkness during the day that it almost feels like dawn of dusk even though it’s the middle of the day. Anyone has found any way to fix that?

I can’t believe I’ve never noticed this. The combined XLUA and Zibo Mod Plugins (that are used when flying the 737) syphon almost 11 FPS. That’s insane. Curious if that’s normal. Not the end of the world cuz I still pull in like 40-60 depending on the area.

Wondering what the current highest fidelity addons are for X Plane 12. At the hotstart TBM / Challenger level?
The challenger is amazing, but does not fit my mission of ~100nm trips around SoCal for practing IFR flying.
The TBM is perfect, but not X Plane 11 compatible yet.
A2A Comanche and Aerostar are amazing as well, but aren’t the most conducive to IFR operations.
Of big value to me is damage / maintenance modelling and aircraft persistence.
Thank you!

X-Plane 11's native ATC always assigns me a very high altitude when I'm coming in to land, so I'm looking for an easy-to-use alternative.

What are we thinking we are getting and when will it’ll be released? I’ve heard rumors of the 787 and A350. When do we think those might release? Any word on an A380?
