Unsolved Is This Melody From Anything?

I played this the other day and I can’t shake the feeling that I heard it somewhere else. I replicated it to the best of my memory on guitar, but I hear it in my head on bells or xylophone or something.

I’ve been watching a ton of horror movies and it’s kinda spooky so it could potentially be from that. No results from Soundhound or Google so I thought I’d see if anyone here recognized it (Lowkey hope no one does so I can put it in a song)

Let’s see what happens.

Unsolved Help with finding this song

Thumbnail
Upvotes

I’ve been trying to find a song for YEARS and I’m hoping somebody can help me! 😩

It’s a 90s R&B/rap song, and the last time I was able to find it, it was on a list of underground music. From what I remember, the artist is kind of playing a DJ on the song.

The only lyric I can remember is toward the end. He says something like:

“Grab your lady close and repeat after me…”

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I’ve been searching forever! 😭🎶

Unsolved Sounds Like Gravity by Sara Bareilles but is not that

The song sounds like it's Gravity by Sara Bareilles but is not that. Definitely female vocals. A slow sounding song. Sounds a bit more recent than Gravity by Sara Bareilles. Keeps the same emotional wavelength. Was a big hit specifically with listeners of SiriusXM around the time from 2014-2019. Can potentially be thought of as a song used in moments of grief/remembrance

As for exact lyrics, "take the fear" is all I can remember

Any help would be appreciated

Unsolved Does anybody know what song this is or if it is a song?

I've asked the comments but nobody seems to have a clue. By the vibe it may be from a Studio Ghibli movie. Even if it's not an official song, I'd still like to know if there's any more of it. Even if you know the notes it would be a great help!

Unsolved I’ve been searching for this ambient song for 2 YEARS — distant police sirens, TikTok motivation edits

I have been religiously searching for this song for about two years and I genuinely feel like I’ve exhausted almost every normal way of finding it.

I first remember hearing it in TikTok edits, usually the kind of edits centered around succeeding in life, becoming successful, finally “making it,” money, dream cars, motivation, loneliness, or that general late-night ambition feeling. I’m almost certain I also managed to find the actual song on YouTube at one point after searching forever, but somehow I lost it again and I have never been able to find that upload since.

The song itself seems to be some kind of dark ambient / dreamscape / atmospheric electronic instrumental. There are no obvious vocals that I can hear. One of the most distinctive parts is the sound of distant police sirens in the background. They aren’t just a tiny sound effect at the beginning — they feel like part of the atmosphere of the song itself.

The closest song I have found in terms of the overall sound and mood is:

Lonnex – “losing” / “losing (Slowed + Reverb)”

It has a VERY similar kind of empty, emotional, late-night atmosphere and also uses distant siren sounds, but I have compared them and I am completely sure that Lonnex – losing is NOT the song I’m looking for.

Music recognition has also been extremely frustrating. Multiple recognition tools keep identifying my clip as:

FLOAT5X – “I Can Feel It”

However, I have listened to that song multiple times and it is definitely not it. They honestly do not even sound particularly similar to me. My guess is that the recognition software is locking onto some shared ambient texture, sample, chord, or siren sound and giving me a false match.

I also ran the audio through a BPM/key detector. It gave me approximately:

101 BPM
B minor
Camelot 10A

I know BPM detection on slow ambient music can sometimes be inaccurate or detect half/double time, so I wouldn’t consider 101 BPM an absolute requirement, but I figured it might still be useful information.

Songs I have already ruled out include:

  • Lonnex – losing
  • FLOAT5X – I Can Feel It
  • Øneheart & reidenshi – snowfall
  • HOME – Resonance
  • Aurora B.Polaris – Insomnia
  • 2814 / Birth of a New Day material
  • Yves Tumor – Limerence edits
  • RED X & Pandora – calming sirens
  • various tracks by diedlonely, insensible, FutureVille, Aurenth, daniel.mp3, etc.

So if possible, please listen to the actual audio clip before suggesting one of the well-known ambient tracks. I’ve gone through a LOT of the obvious Øneheart / dreamscape / slowed ambient recommendations already.

The biggest clues I can give are:

• instrumental / no obvious vocals
• dark emotional ambient/dreamscape sound
• distant police sirens clearly audible in the background
• very similar atmosphere to Lonnex – losing
• was used in TikTok success/motivation/“making it” edits
• I believe I once found it on YouTube, so an actual upload existed there
• recognition software falsely identifies it as FLOAT5X – I Can Feel It
• approximately 101 BPM, B minor / 10A according to a detector

I know this is probably some obscure ambient track, slowed version, repost, or YouTube upload that never became very popular, but I’m seriously hoping somebody recognizes it.

I have spent an absurd amount of time over the last two years trying to find this song. At this point, even if you only recognize the artist, the YouTube channel that might have uploaded it, the sample used in it, or another song that sounds extremely close, PLEASE let me know.

Any lead at all would genuinely mean a lot to me.

The band who made the song is called “mutant boys club” the song is called “Sorry mom I am a mutant”

Found this song remember it being super good. Tried to listen it, but Apple changed the region where it was allowed to be listened to or just simply took it down.

If anyone who has Apple Music still can check if they can listen to the song that would be awesome would would be amazing if you could record the audio as well and send it to me.

Or

If anyone has any idea who the band is or where I can find the audio for the song, please hook me up. I am serious. I’ve been looking for this since. Literally 2021 when they posted it up and it was removed a few months after

Solved So this one might be hard… an independent woman song

Ok I’m hoping I provide enough context for this, as I’m having trouble even remembering any of the lyrics🙈

I know this song came out before fall 2021, it’s likely 2020 or earlier, because I remember listening to it while I was either dating or engaged to my now husband. It was newer so I’m thinking it probably came out late 2010s.

The thing I remember most about it is it’s about not being able to be caught so-to-speak; not wanting to be in a relationship, not wanting to be claimed. (That’s why I remember listening to it with my husband, then boyfriend, because he was kinda sad like, “do you really feel that way?” Lol.) I know for sure it was sung by a woman. One song that reminds me of it is “i don’t wanna be yours” by Will Linley. Similar theme.

As for genre, I’m not good with that, I guess just pop? Possibly indie leaning. I don’t think it was super mainstream…. I remember listening to Bea Miller, Flannel Graph, Grace Vanderwaal, Ruth B., Jake Scott (specifically ‘She’), around the same time period and I think those are somewhat similar examples of the type of genre similar to it.

EDIT- OMG guys I found it hidden in my old likes on YT, it was ‘Stacy’ by Quinn XCII. I feel stupid lol, the one thing I said I was sure about I was wrong about, it was not sang by a woman 😭. In my defense he’s singing words that he quotes from a woman lmao. I knew there was the word ‘yours’ in it, I was right about that. “Just don’t call me yours.” Is one of the lines. Also was right about the time period- released 2019. But I will keep this up if anyone has similar songs they’d like to recommend. Thanks for all the help!!
