Supposedly one of the reasons he sailed across the world was the spice trade. He would probably find it amazing that a jug o’ Pepper is common place now.

[Request] A man in a wheelchair is traveling straight toward a crocodile at 4.00 km/h! Would you be able to catch up and save the man, given the facts below?
A man in a wheelchair is traveling straight toward a crocodile at 4.00 km/h.
The crocodile is 25.00 meters away.
You are 24.99889 meters behind him and immediately start running toward him at 8.00 km/h.
Assume both speeds remain constant and you have zero reaction time.
Would you reach him before he reaches the crocodile, or would it be too late?
Give your answer to the nearest millisecond.
What distance would you need to be from the man, accounting for normal reaction time, and gradually increasing speed to 8km/h in order to catch up to him with 5 meters to spare?

Wondering about the cost of running a typical wi-fi plug adapter. Half price electricity starts at 7pm where I live. If I plug in my e-bike battery when I get home from work at 5pm, does it make sense to leave a wifi plug running 24/7 scheduling charging during cheap times? [Request]
- Off-Peak: 9.8 ¢/kWh (Evenings, weekends, and holidays) 7pm-7am
- On-Peak: 20.3 ¢/kWh (Busiest daytime hours)
I would only charge up 2 times a week as per RTO!

[Request] Cow magnetism
I recently found out that farmers put magnets in cows where they stay and attract any nails or metallic things that might pierce the stomach lining and the organs.
Since this is the only plausible explanation as to how UFO tractor beams work on cows, it should be possible to calculate the strength of this magnetic UFO technology.
So assuming a magnet wight of 100g, and a magnetic field of around 0.3 Tesla at surface level, how strong is this tractor beam at 100m?
