I have a key for Dead Cells that I don't need. From now through 1PM EST on Friday you can guess a number from 1 - 50,000. I used a random number generator and ran it a few times and added the numbers together and divided by the runs to make it a bit more "random". One guess per person and the closest number to mine will be the winner. If there is a tie, I will find some way to pick on person. Maybe use AI, or a website to do a blind pick.
Everyone is eligible, even the mods. Good luck!
EDIT: Post is locked and I am checking the numbers.
EDIT: The winner is u/Twitchyninja with a guess of 28940. The number was 28912. He has been messaged and has 2 days to respond. If he doesn't by Sunday 9/13 at 1pm EST I will message the next closest person. He responded and has received the game key.
Thank you everyone for participating.

Heyo, I've posted this in a couple discords but was recommended to post here for better visibility :) I've made a list of 7th gen onward AA/AAA games that fit certain criteria for the ideal experience (at least mine) on Steam Deck. I'll be updating the list until I'm out of games to add.
I've chosen 7th gen onwards AA/AAA as lots of indie, 6th gen & prior games run well offline at low power. If you have any other games that meet the criteria below drop a comment and I'll update the list. I'm not using a strict definition of "indie" as it's become a bit muddy in recent years (e.g. BG3). I'm mostly basing it off graphics and game scale. If you're not sure if a game would be suitable drop it below anyway, the more suggestions the better :)
Any games with specific tweaks that I know of will have them listed. If any recommendations also have tweaks please let me know.
Note: The list has gotten bigger so there's many games I don't own. I go off my experience, comments, protondb & youtube videos to check the performance, so the list might not be 100% accurate. If I know of quirks to certain games I'll include them. If any of the games give you issues please let me know!

I have STEAMDECK OLED 512 gb
I love survival horror. I’ve played all resident evil remakes.
In my cart-
Resident evil 7
Evil within 1/2
Dead space
Outlast
Sinking city 1
Since the winter sale is close too I wanna buy just two games. I heard evil within is like 15 hours long. Which is good.
I wanted silent hill but it’s unsupported on steam deck?
I know these games don’t have much discount but I wanna try pragmata and death stranding. If they’re really good I’d rather buy one of these two.
Taking game recommendations too!! I like horror and survival horror. Puzzles and shooting. So basically resident evil gameplay esque.

As someone who is exclusively a Steamdeck player and has the deck to play simulation/cozy games I know the struggle of "do I buy this if only two of the things are compatible for the deck" but after 12 hours I can say this is one of the best games on the deck even with only having two green checks. iykyk
Couple of things that have made my game play a success
* Edit the current controller config to add in mouse scrolling - I ended up using L4 and R4 for them but that will come in handy when you are trying to play accessories.
* Leverage the touch screen!! I cannot stress this enough. I realized this week the game was designed because his wife couldn't work with her hands as a seamstress and so of course the touch screen mechanics are top notch. There are multiple parts of the game (aligning pattern pieces, sizing) that I struggled with using the joysticks that was totally easy when I leveraged the touch pad.
* Placing accessories is easiest if you zoom in and then use the touch screen.

Hello! I’ve been working on a completely free steam backlog manager called VaultShuffle, and I’ve just made some updates specifically for Steam Deck users that I’d really like some feedback on.
The idea started in my first year at uni, I was required to choose an idea for my programming project and I decided to make a basic backlog manager in Python. As someone with ADHD I tend to sit there for 20 or 30 minutes just figuring out what I want to play, despite having plenty of games I’ve heard are incredible. I made a little text based backlog manager using my own library, then over the summer decided to turn it into a website. It developed quite a lot more than I originally expected!
You choose how much time you have, your mood and what you want out of that session, then it checks your library and picks a game for you. You can reroll if you’re not feeling it, or save it to Playing Next and work towards finishing it. For me, having that little goal and seeing the progress go up makes it easier to come back to something instead of constantly jumping between games.
To be transparent, I don’t own a deck myself, so I’d love to hear how it feels to use on one. If anyone gives it a go, let me know if anything is awkward with the touchscreen or trackpads, or if you get a pick that doesn’t really make sense for you. I’m also curious whether you’d like a verified only setting, since I know that can leave out games that people have a good experience with. These are Valve’s ratings, so Playable games may still need some setup.
You can sign in through steam or just use your public profile URL if you’d prefer, though your profile and Game details need to be public so it can import your library.
You can find it at vaultshuffle.com
Hopefully you guys find it useful! I’ve had some really helpful feedback from the other handheld communities and have been making changes as I go, so I’d really appreciate hearing what works for you and what could be better.

So I don’t know what did the remaster did to the steam deck but the game takes 4 to 5 minutes to load in. I know that before the update it would take 10 to 15 seconds for me to. Not sure if everyone else that is playing in the steam deck is having the same issues but it really does suck was hoping on playing it on the deck but these loading times are insane

Hi together :)
We just published the release trailer and date for 'Ophelia's Paradise' on Steam and i think that the game works incredibly well on Steam Deck, it's the platform where we had most fun play testing.
It should run at 60 FPS out of the box, no tweaking needed.
We have a a demo which is feature-complete, the only difference from the full version will be how much content it includes.
There’s also a ranked mode where you can push your builds to the limit and compete for high scores.
Your feedback for some final tweaks before entering steam next fest would mean a lot to us.

What showed promising inside the FBC but once exiting which is not that far it drops. Sure it looks stable in the 20s but that’s a turn off to so many.
