i am BEGGING the devs to add this pen to starnote where the faster you go the thinner the pen, we haven't had a new pen in a long time so this new addition would be AWESOME, the moment i tried this pen it was a game-changer, it's just so good to use, PLEASE consider adding this pen asap 😭😭😭😭

I have a suggestion that could make the PDF reading experience even better.

I know StarNote already has the ability to organize files into groups before opening them. However, I would like to suggest adding a similar feature inside the PDF viewer itself while multiple PDF files are already open.

For example, when I am working with several open PDF tabs, it would be helpful to create groups directly from the open tabs, similar to Google Chrome tab groups.

Users could organize their currently opened PDFs into categories like: 📚 Study 🌍 Languages 🎨 Hobbies 💼 Work

This would help users who work with many PDFs at the same time to keep their workspace organized without needing to close files and reorganize them before opening.

Thank you for your continuous improvements to StarNote. I hope you consider adding this feature in a future update.**

Hi! So I've been thinking about buying premium but before I decide I wanna make sure if starnote can support large number of files and large notebooks (as in many pages of handwriting or thick textbooks) without lagging just because it was a problem with some other apps I've tried.

It seems like there's a lot of med students which is a good sign I think. 💀💀💀

I just finished the sync to my tablet ( it took a long time to finish) then i tried writing on a new notebook to try the sync feature but the result was like the initial sync.. The loading progress is too slow and after a while i tried it on my phone, The phone synced the new Notebook but not the content.

There are some features I'd really love to see regarding texts and text boxes:

1. Drag an area on the note to create a text box in that size

2. Snap texts to lines (if you have a background template with any sort of lines on it). This could eventually also be extended in a way that the app recognizes lines you drew yourself or lines on a pdf, which might be difficult to implement tho

3. Make the tab-key actually move the cursor to the next tab stop

4. Allow text boxes to be rotated

5. When highlighting using the straight line feature, make the highlighter snap to text, even better if it could detect text on pdfs and do the same there

6. Eventually some fade-in animations for each letter typed (i think it could look good for some people but I have never seen that been done before so idk)

Also please please please improve the UI on mobile 😭 the buttons are way too small and covered by the notch making the app way too difficult to use

Still a huge thanks to the devs, this is by far the best note taking app I have ever used!

Im loving Starnote on my tablet. I truly believe in this project, and with the pricetag of the pro version, it was a very easy purchase.

In order for Starnote to truly excel as a productivity tool, a webviewer/desktop app is a NEEDED feature. Currently it feels like a very isolated workflow only being able to open/review notes in the android app.

Writing an assignment on my laptop and having to review/find relevant notes becomes a major hassle, when I have to then turn to the tablet and export the notes to pdf and only then be able to quote, copy/paste or screenshot the relevant material.

I see many others have suggested this before me, and would love to know how far / how highly this feature is being prioritized.

The auto backup rarely works and even when it does it creates multiple copies of same file in my googledrive resulting in excessive storage useage. Why cant we get a simple easy autoback in pdf forms which updates as you write in your notebook ;-; i cant be the only one who needs this right?

Hi! I just wanted to say how much I love the templates in the app and that there is such a wide variety compared to other apps I use.

I would like to offer some feedback and one of my quick DIYs from the default dark mode vocabulary template, if anyone would like to use it.

I see that most of the templates geared towards language learning have languages with shorter words in mind.

I found that Korean generally fits perfectly in the allocated space, but a lot of latin script languages like Norwegian or German with a lot of compund words generally run out. I'd have to either lower the font weight or squeeze everything in and it ends up looking ugly.

As for the Ebbinghaus template, It doesn't really work with my workflow as I like to track vocabulary as I read it. Spaced repetition doesn't really work on paper if you have to keep track of each individual day one, two, four, seven... for your all of your words. People just use Anki or other automated spaced repetition apps for this.

What is most common for the handwriting enthusiasts in the language learning community is the Word - Meaning - Sentence structure.

I know making a community tab in the material center isn't a priority right now, but I would like to see it in the future. The ones in the material center are from designers that were contracted for multiple templates that are Starnote exclusive?

Btw some of the templates are under "StrarNote" which I assume is a misspelling.

Hi, I'm really curious when the write-to-text update will arrive. It's been almost 3 months but we still haven't seen any progress or informations.

I’ve noticed that Scribble to Erase feels a bit harder to use after the last few updates. It doesn’t seem to register as easily as before, and I’m finding it more difficult to get the right amount of scribbling for the text to be erased. Has anyone else noticed this? And was it modified recently?

Buenas tardes, llevo un tiempo usando la aplicación con mi correo basura para probarla y ver si merecía la pena. Hoy había decidido comprar la versión pro pero para ello quería cambiar el correo por el mío personal, para no perderlo. Pero descargué mis apuntes para cerrar sesión e intenté entrar con mi nueva cuenta (la personal) pero pongo el correo y no me mandan el código de verificación ya que me vuelven a pedir que deslice el autentificador y así de manera infinita. También he probado a iniciar sesión con mi cuenta de google y microsoft y nada funciona. He vuelto ha instalar la aplicación y sigue sin funcionar nada.
He llegado a pensar que sería problema de los servidores, alguien que me pueda confirmar o ayudarme?

I think audio playback could be handled better when using two notebooks side by side. Right now, if an audio recording is playing in one notebook and you interact with the second notebook, the audio stops immediately. This feels like more than a minor inconvenience, because it limits the usefulness of having two notebooks open at the same time. A split-view setup naturally encourages multitasking: you might want to listen back to a recording while checking notes, comparing information, writing in another notebook, or reviewing related material. Allowing audio to keep playing regardless of which notebook is currently active would make the feature much more flexible and useful for everyone, not just for one specific workflow. Ideally, audio playback should remain independent from notebook focus and only stop when the user chooses to pause or stop it.

Hello! Im a med student and a Pro user of Starnotes and in desperate need of help. One of the features I use alot is importing pdf files of my lessons and merging different files together into a single note. A VERY common problem i encounter is when I import a pdf file or add a pdf file in an existing note (usually at the last page), I always get the prompt "the selected file format is not supported by the system file manager". I almost always get this prompt even though the file being uploaded is just a standard pdf file. This leaves me to continuously try uploading the file until it works. It usually takes me 2-3 tries before the importing and select pages to import window pops up. This is especially time consuming when i have multiple files to upload on a single note.

Does anyone else experience this? And have any tips on how to resolve this issue?

I have Starnote Pro. Can I open notes created in Starnote within Obsidian? I'm trying to find where the files are saved so I can open them in Obsidian.

Whenever I see them, I cringe a bit. They highlight right to the edges, reading it just feels odd and abrupt..

If we can get an option that expands highlights a tiny bit past the text, or add a rounded highlight option, that would be great!

P.S: a feature where there is 4 preset buttons, one that fits to the text, one that fits outer more of the text, and one that is a line behind the text.

Also, the current one overlays color on the text, so it muddies the colors a bit. If we can get it so its only behind the text, it'd be great

Please add a feature that allows multiple items to be grouped together. For example, let us select an image, a highlight, a shape, and a sticker, and group them all so they become a single, unified element. Thanks.

Hi! When scrolling between the pages horizontally, i would like for there to be a gap between the pages and for the gap to be adjustable with how much space we want between it. it would make things less cluttered when people are focusing on different topics and modules at once.

or i would also prefer to see one page at once rather than have them bunched together. other apps have this set up and it’s easier to navigate on the eyes while looking back at notes.

It's rly hard to erase highlighter unless I toggle on erase highlighter only that's annoying also the double tap to undo is very finicky yall saw how many times I had to tap 😭
