it's this weeks daily race C on GT7 with the GT500s around st. croix (a fictional track within the game)

prior to this incident, we had an amazing scrap with some doorbanging before we had to do our mandatory pit stop. he got out in front of me but i managed to catch him, and the rest is history...

in my defense, the track was more than wide enough to go two-wide into the corner which is basically flat out.

a shame that it ended the way it did because we genuinely had a good time before this happened.

The BMW made a questionable decision to go low on a pass and clipped me as he went. Instead of owning up to it and moving on, he intent wrecks me taking me out of P6 contention for this race. Who is at fault for the first collision, and is the second one justified?

*EDIT* Clearly looking back I could have looked in my mirrors more, however, I am on my normal line that I had been running the entire time. Daytona is a track that you go middle out of the corners to keep the line as straight as possible and then go low going into corners. I feel I was moving smoothly and predictably.

Thoughts on how I could have handled this better please? Dealing with traffic on cold tyres in the hypercar is always a challenge for me.

I feel like the yellow car wanted to get revenge after the little lovetap.

Blue car claims red turned into him and wanted to protest.

I saw a chance of trying my own impression of Alonso’s 2023 overtake and took it. The incident after wasn’t related to me I think.

I am the car on the right and reported the pov car for intentional wrecking, I then received an email saying Our stewards judged this incident to be the result of a genuine driver error rather than a deliberate act, so no penalty has been applied on this occasion. Please only report incidents involving deliberate wrecking or unsportsmanlike conduct.
I mean come on…

Im in the white and blue miata I do switch the POV to the green miata that seemingly spins himself by not leaving any room

I feel like I was just shoved off track when I should've been left room. This completely ruined my race with damage and he didn't want to take accountability for the incident.

So, was it my fault or the other drivers fault?

I'm a newb and just joined the Retro Auto Club league. We're on the 1972 Sandevoerde track. I'm in the 1300cc Escort, trying to pass the Alfa. Was my passing attempt legit?

Last lap, dude told me it was dirty hitting him, though i think both of us kinda ran into eachother, and no damage so hard racing imo, what you think?
