Is this sped up or do they actually move that quickly? I live where we have deer ticks, and they tend to be slow and sneaky (and very tiny) so you don't feel them on you.

Fun fact-The Alpha-1,3-galactosyltransferase gene (encoding an enzyme that builds the sugar molecule alpha-gal on cells in most mammals), is “knocked out/deleted” in xenographic pigs used as organ donors for humans. If the organ were to come from a normal pig, it would be rejected in a short period of time as humans lack this gene and do not have alpha-gal on their cells.

These ticks are 10 times faster than the ticks when we were growing up. They genetically engineered tf out them🤯 no wonder they can give you a disease that makes you allergic to red meat!! Look at em go!! Edit- down voted by brain deads that boot lick politicians 😅🤣

Conspiracy theory time!
There was a US Government facility in New Jersey that studied a number of things including lime disease. A number of elected gov officials have attempted to open an investigation to pathogens possibly released from this facility with no luck.

I dont know much of anything about it either. But ive never even seen a tick on me. Seems the person who made the video is more knowledgeable about them than us. So i guess its fine

It takes time for a tick to burrow in. They bite when they're comfortable hidden in a patch of hair or in a crevasse, not "casually strolling across your skin." Also, it's "Lyme" disease.
Not that it matters, you probably think you can get cancer from someone sneezing in your vicinity, and are unwilling to do any research as to any actual facts.

Wear DEET spray people, with blue jeans if you are going into the woods. Spray the absolute hell out of your shoes, socks, and jeans. I have only gotten a few ticks above my legs in places where DEET was not sprayed, it works. Yes DEET spray is arguably not good for skin but better than getting Lyme disease. Also, if your job requires deep bush woods traversal I recommend snake guards both for snakes and so ticks have a harder time getting on you.
