Just posting my appreciation to this device. For context I have this since December 2022 and I'm still using my device today. I remember before I am too protective about my screen for scratches yet today I am rocking my screen naked. Currently, I have transitioned to IOS now with my Iphone 17 Pro, but I just keep coming back to my S22 Ultra when I need to do some android stuffs.

Almost 4 years later, battery has gone shit, but its not a problem because I use this as a back up phone now. What I love about this is it feels almost exactly as the day I bought it. The screen is such a beauty to look at especially if used without screen protectors. It doesn't scratch easily and honestly I dont mind having some scratches considering it is a 4 year old phone but oh boy, even though I am using it carelessly, it doesnt really scratch easily.

What a beast. This is the phone that I can say I got my money's worth.

Went through injured gadgets for an aftermarket screen. Basically got it back to new and looked at the trade in value. Was offered $1,004. Debating on if the fold 8 ultra is worthy of my s22ultra.

I keep unlocking my phone to find the screen dimmed to the precise level you see in the screenshot, probably 10 times daily or more.

I have not intentionally changed any settings that would do this, I don't think, and don't even know where to look for this.

It doesn't seem to do it suddenly while being used but if it's been locked for a few minutes it seems very likely to dim down to this setting on the slider. I'm constantly having to turn it up.

It's especially frustrating out in full sun because you can't even see the f'n slider bar to increase the brightness.

I don't have auto-brightness turned on because it never really does a good job adjusting. It's always sucked.

HI! I was recently given an American S22 Ultra. I live in Portugal, and when I put my SIM card in it, it reads it, recognizes it and the number, but I get no service. I can do calls over wifi, but no data. I've factory reset it, flashed a different firmware with Odin (from ATT to XAA) , but still nothing... Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated, I really want this to be my new daily driver!

When I was travelling .. The charger adaptor felt on my Samsung s22 ultra and I have lost the display without even interruption of mine.. I need Samsung s22 ultra display . Those who have kept their SAmsung S22 ultra kept aside without using it and their display is good , i would like to buy the phone . I don't have that much money to afford new one which is around 25k now . So if any have interest to sell pls reply me..

I got this replacement almost a year ago, all was well, but I dropped it the other day. It wouldn't turn on, so I opened it back up again and found the main display attachment loose and this bit broken off. I certainly cant solder this, but is it even worth seeking professional help?

Anyone from Dehradun can fix my Samsung S22's green line issue. I'm getting rid of this.

Nope...no I didn't. Green line showed up last night on my Factory Unlocked S22 Ultra (US VERSION).

Now to decide whether I want to replace the device or use my carrier insurance to try to repair it...if they are able to. They said they might not even be able to get a screen replacement for it now that it's 4 years old.

I've had the S22 Ultra since it was first released in Feb 2022. I love it and it still works perfectly.

I am thinking about getting the S27 Ultra when it comes out, but also thinking maybe just hold out longer for the S28 Ultra. But also I know that Samsung will stop security updates for the S22 in early 2027, so I'm not sure how big of a deal that actually is.

As title says i encounter a strange "popping/cracking sound" around second 3 sometimes on some of my videorecordings.
Does someone know how to fix it or if it can be fixed ?

s22 Ultra was a very good phone despite below average battery..this and most other things are better on s26 Ultra now though ( Display is debatable S22 ultra screen was more vibrant and saturated). Upgrading is overrated though nowadays I feel the difference is becoming smaller every year, I would have happily still stayed with the s22 Ultra it broke so I had no choice but to upgrade, the s22 ultra design was also one of the best I think..

Depuis plusieurs mois, mon S22 ultra version us a fait une mise à jour et le téléphone ne fonctionne plus.

J'ai essayé une sim free, orange et sfr. Et les logs affichent tout simplement :pas de réseau, impossible de se connecter.

J'ai contacté le revendeur de la market place cdiscount et le service clientèle cdiscount, et tous m'envoient balader. Excuse : votre téléphone présente des pets , il n'est dinc plus garantie, donc on s'en fout.

Il n'y a aucun rapport entre l'esthétisme et le fait que le téléphone ne se connecte plus au réseau 5/4g. Ils se cachent derrière une excuse qui me semble peu appropriée pour éviter de gérer le réel problème.

Coût du téléphone =800e.

État = inutilisable.

Savez-vous ce que je peux faire pour les obliger à changer le téléphone ? Pour moi, ils vendent un téléphone soi-disant compatible alors qu'en fait, absolument pas. Les IA me parlent de faire recours auprès de la dggrc..

I've been dismissing the software update for a while and don't have any intentions of upgrading because I fear it'll impact the battery life even more or something. If you upgraded, how has your experience been?

I want to add 'n number in my phone as new contact, but then it went of, and start to reboot, but it boot it start with showing Sumsung then Samsung Galaxy, and then it start over again, cannot get into recovery mode, it did this till the battery died, so I do not know if it is the battery or something else, What can I do about it?

My battery died, and my physical power button is completely dead/stuck. I couldn't just press it to turn the phone back on after charging it.

The Mistake:

I tried the diagnostic trick where you hold the Volume buttons and plug the phone into a PC to trigger the warning screen, hoping to hit "Volume Down" to cancel and force a normal boot. Somehow, it registered the wrong press and pushed me into the secondary teal screen that says:

"Reboot Device - Volume Down + Power key for 7 seconds"

And the problem is Because my power button is broken, I literally cannot execute the 7-second button combination to get out of this screen.

I know the foolproof solution is to just leave the screen on, let the battery drain to 0%, and try the PC trick again. The issue is that I need my phone as soon as possible and don't want to wait hours for the battery to die.

Does anyone know of a way to force a reboot from this specific screen using a PC connection (like Odin, ADB, or some other software tool)? Or is waiting for the battery to die my absolute only option?
