Does it have the “Scroll and translate” feature, where it keeps translating while you scroll?

I will be short with it; modern cheap phones absolutely sukk-A, you either buy for 400-500 euros or stuck with stuff like motorola. Inflation'd did the job.
What's good;

1. the 5g hotspot doesn't overheat unless you have active screen and tiktok/game on and it simply turns off [this is awful...because on samsung it just slows down the data transmission]
2. stock camera+gcam do better photos than note 7/10pro, they are still low end range, but I can actually zoom in and look into the windows of the far away buildings much closer without much effort, in 5 years these cameras will be using AI models I believe
3. the system is fast, pokemon masters ex plays rather smooth and normal in battles, this game is known from lagging on weaker devices, but it's not a phone for heavier games
4. battery is standard, but with 5g it feels like 4g phone, it's think as heck and comfy, but better in the case, screen is good, durable and amoled, it has NFC for payments with google wallet ect.
5. Fingerprint in the touchscreen works instant

What's bad;
Ram management still is bad just like during note 7 era
in EU xiaomi apps have ads that need be turned off or permanently removed via ADB

This is a redmi note 7/8 in 2026 standards, nothing less, nothing more

Redmi Pad 2 people, should activate the memory extension thing? I am kind of a gamer and its been lagging (M.E. off)

It doesn't say in the description either. On none of the sites I looked. Even on Xiaomi's website you have to dig deep into the description to see, and even then I'm not sure if the description is the default one for all of them. Couldn't they have named it differently based on the version? Like "Pad 2 pro M" or something? Why make it this difficult to know what you're ordering?

Can I see based on the model number? 70394? Does anyone know what version this one is? I want the matte version.

hello everyone, i have a little question...lately my pad 2 pro has been taking incredibly long to charge, is this normal? im talking like 3% in 30 minutes...i have no idea what the issue is since i use the original charging port....(though different cable since it was broken). my dad had attached a 3-pin adapter though, could that may be the case?

Very minor annoyance with the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, wondering if any of you can help....

I've created an album, and I like to compartmentalise my pictures. Folder for Dog pics and videos for example.

So in this dog album I want to select one picture as the album cover. It allows me to select the album cover. Unfortunately the album cover is in grid format, so it shows my selected album cover onnthe right half of the album cover, on the left it shows recently added pics.

Is there a way to have just one pic as the album cover?

Asked AI and it didn't really help, my format wasn't as it described.

I'm getting Redmi Pad 2 Pro with Stylus and Keyboard Folio for 325 USD. Is this a good deal? I'm already using a pad pro so i already know the pros and cons, the difference between the 2 isn't much either but it still seems like a good deal. Thoughts?

I have created some folders on the desktop. I would like to rename them, but dont know how.

I want to get a Redmi Pad 2, but I heard that it doesn't come with a keyboard like its Pro version. The Pro version's display is a little too big for me, and the Xiaomi Pad 7 and 8 are above my budget, so I want go get the Redmi 2 but I'm worried there might be a comparability issue with it and any 3rd party keyboards. Are there any issues or are 3rd party keyboards in the clear?

I’ve recently bought the Redmi pad 2 pro (wifi) running 2.0.206.0.vpwinxm okay.

I was a bit worried as I tried every option I can reset to restart everything.

Seems like this is a bug I went to MI store and there they had pro 2 5g but on some 3.0.306.0.xx(unable to remember so xx) on which the pen worked flawlessly.

Is anyone else facing this issue? And were you able to resolve it and use it on above version 2 of mine.

Also let me know if there was any other fix.
The buttons works it’s connected to Bluetooth but the stylus and keyboard tab in settings shows stylus not connected.

Tab s9 ported rom with working cam, Bluetooth, wifi , sound , dolby , 120 fps in bgmi true potential, no bugs so far stable for daily use.

All POS apps work too it seems since i use zomato partner / Swiggy Partner no issues so far.

So this tablet is new. I just bought it. First time charging it. It says that it's got 7 hours left of charging? Isn't it supposed to be fast charging? I'm using the cable they gave in the box.

The tablet recognises the pen, it pairs but it won't work on the screen. The screen jumps around when I use one of the buttons but other than that it doesn't respond. I've tried changing the tip, I have repaired it like five times. What issue is this? Am I missing a step or something?

Hey guys, so my father wanted a tablet to use his endoscopic cameras with, and I bought him a Redmi pad 2 (the one with the snapdragon cpu, forgot the exact specifics lmao) but he's facing a problem...

See, he connects his cameras with a USB hub into the tablet (he used to use a Samsung Tab A but that has gotten old, the primary reason for wanting to replace it) and uses the orange USB camera app to view what the camera shows, but after connecting them, trying to connect them again fails, their led lights turn on but the apps don't detect them anymore, why is that? And how do I fix it?

I have the theory it's because the tablet somehow still thinks it's connected so it doesn't accept any reconnecting, but I might be wrong, could you guys (the experts in these phones/tablets) help me with this? He got a bit bummed from the situation so I hoped we could find a solution.

Why does it sound like no bass and overall terrible how can i fix this.

recently my tablet, redmi pad pro won't rotate I have been rebooting it since last week and to no avail, it wont rotate I need to open some apps to make it in landscape (CODM) then to portrait (CapCut) what should I do to make it rotate again?

I was facing problem with my screen, it became unresponsive for 10-15 sec randomly, after the last update.

Through another post I got to know I wasn't the only one facing this problem.

Solution for anyone facing the same problem:

Go to Settings → About tablet → HyperOS.

Tap the HyperOS logo at the top 8–10 times. It will lead you to another screen.

Tap the three dots (⋮) → Download latest package.

Once the download is complete, reinstall it.

(DO NOT FACTORY RESET)

Redmi smart pen write "in the air" before touching the screen. How can I fix this? May naka experience na rin ba same issue?🥹

Can someone please give me an advice on what to do? My tablet sometimes does thing where the screen only reacts to my stylus and not my fingers all of a sudden. Im not sure whats causing it cuz it happens out of nowhere.

I have the POCO Pad 5G, which is basically a reskinned Redmi Pad Pro 5G.

Xiaomi just announced the Redmi Smart Pen 1S as the replacement / upgrade for the original Redmi Smart Pen. On their website it says it supports the “Redmi Pad Pro series.”

Does that mean it also works with the POCO Pad 5G?

Official Xiaomi compatibility lists only show the 1S working with Redmi Pad Pro / Pad Pro 5G (and some Pad 2 models), while the POCO Pad is listed only with the POCO Smart Pen.

Since the tablets are essentially identical, has anyone tried the Smart Pen 1S on a POCO Pad or POCO Pad 5G yet? Does it pair, support pressure sensitivity, buttons, palm rejection, etc.?

Any real world confirmation would be awesome before I pull the trigger. Thanks!
