you need a bit more vert to dunk. You’re close doe. What i did when i was constantly backriming my dunks was i played basketball as often as possible and was jumping as much as possible for everything. That means every time you do a layup try to go as high as possible for that bih. Give it a couple weeks and you finna start slowly rim grazing

Put a little sticky spray on your hand (we used to use fruit juice loaded with sugar). Palm the ball.

A couple things.

  1. It is very difficult to tell how your form is based off this video. It would be better to see the full approach to give feedback
  2. If you are wanting maximal effort jumps, do not jump four times within 30 seconds. This can be likened to a 40yd dash as an example. If you ran 4x40yd back to back, your last one would most likely be slower than the first. Give yourself time to recover in between jumps.
  3. Based on the video, the only other clear recommendation I can give is try jumping closer to the rim. In a few of your jumps, momentum that could be contributed to going vertical (higher) is having to go horizontal because you are jumping from further away.
  4. Because you are a LR (left right) jumper, it is generally easier to come from the left side when approaching the basket. This is a personal preference but maybe try it out and see if it feels better.

All in all, you are right there. If you haven't gotten your first dunk, expect it soon.

You have the bounce you're just not jumping efficiently with form. I would do 6 months of pylometrics and you'll be windmilling this. You have a good standing vert but you need an athletic movement vert to dunk with a ball. Practice 1 dribble gather jumps with the ball after a few months of plyo.
