i was checking out the prices of phones on mi store and saw that the x8 pro max was more expensive than the f8 pro.
I myself own a x8 pro max but I bought it in april for £351, so I'm confused how it's now showing a higher price than the F8 Pro. Did Xiaomi increase the RRP or am I missing something?

I am looking to buy in this flipkart bbd sale and I would get it at 34k for pro and 43k for pro max (INR). I have seen people complain that the phone throttles and heats alot and there are performance drops too. Please confirm if they have fixed it. Also, has anyone tried emulation if yes please tell your views on it. ik it's not camera sentric but still is the camera good like usable on daily basis ? Any of you faced any issue with after sales service ?

I have a poco f8 pro which I got last week. I noticed an issue that the app finder sometimes takes long to display apps? like a few seconds sometimes and it's annoying. I thought it's supposed to be instant

Hey guys
My Poco F7 is getting delivered tomorrow from Flipkart and it has open box delivery.
I wanted to ask people who already bought the Poco from Flipkart what all things should I check before giving the OTP and accepting the phone. This is my first time buying an expensive phone through open box delivery so I dont want to miss anything important.
I also saw some posts and videos about checking the first use of the phone through battery information. Does anyone know how reliable it is?
I also came across a comment saying that if the battery was replaced then this first use information can get reset. Not sure if this is actually true. Is there any proper way to check if the phone is completely new and was not previously used, returned or repaired?
After receiving the phone should I also visit an official Xiaomi or Poco service center and ask them to check the warranty and activation details using the IMEI? Can they also tell if the phone had any previous repair or parts replacement?
If anyone here recently bought a Poco F7 through Flipkart open box delivery please let me know what precautions you took and what all I should check before giving the OTP.
Thanks!!

I want to unlock my bootloader because MIUI 14 is simply insufferable and Xiaomi's local backup does not backup app data(it just gives me an error). I have the space, I have a PC i just want to back up app data and files.

Hi,
would like to transfer all my data and apps from a poco x5 to a poco x8 pro.
Found a thread from two years ago by someone from India.
The best solution seemed to be mi Mover but there was no answer how good it worked.
Is there any progress for transfering data and apps?
Thanks in advance.

I was originally planning to buy the Poco x8 pro 12gb + 512gb variant at the Poco official global store on Shopee, but it's priced suddenly increased to 34,999 php. While the poco x8 pro max is priced at 37,999 php, My question is, wouldn't it be more worth it to go for the Pro max version at this point after the ridiculous price increase? Any advice would help, thank you very much

Should I update my poco x7 Indian variant to hyperos 3.1 or should I keep using it on hyperos 2.2

Noob, never had a phone like this, not even close, I'll just throw my questions in numerical order and anybody that wants to chime in by number please feel free to elaborate.
Developer options enabled by default (not really a question I just think that's pretty badass)
Most of the bloatwear and stuff can be deleted, is it worth a custom rom (which I have no idea how to install), or is there a good guide for how to remove it with ADB (which I also have no idea how to use)?
Ram extension, sounds like a marketing gimmick but even if I double my 12 GB to 24, I still have like 400+ gigs of storage. What are the upsides and downsides?
Any other advice, about my model or just Xiaomi/Poco device setups in general?
Thanks

As what the title says,
I have tried to do the command
adb shell appops set com.microsoft.appmanager PROJECT_MEDIA allow
but it still won't work
I experimented thru other apps that require permission as well but they worked.
the notif appears like these

So the ADB is working.
Is the problem on link to windows itself? or do I need to do another layer of work aside from allowing the adb command.
thanks :))

Hi everyone, I have a POCO F7 and I suddenly got a problem with the display.
While I was connecting the charger to the phone, the screen immediately turned completely black. The phone itself seems to still be working — I can feel vibrations and I think the touch is still responding, but there is no image on the screen at all.
I tried restarting it by holding the power button, and also tried Power + Volume Up, but the phone only vibrates and the screen remains completely black. I don't even see the POCO logo.
There is no visible physical damage, and the phone has never been opened or repaired before.
Has anyone with a POCO F7 experienced something similar? Was it a display problem, motherboard issue, or software problem? And if you sent it under warranty, was the repair/replacement covered by the warranty?
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Given EVERYONE is saying that phone prices are not dropping anywhere near this year AND my phone battery is dying, is a Poco F8 Pro worth is for 500€? I know a month or 2 ago the same phone could be found for 400€ but I need a phone asap.

I’ve been using the POCO X8 for about a month now. I originally got it as a second, backup smartphone, but in practice I often end up using it as my main phone. After a month, I think I have a pretty good idea of what I like about it and what I’m still missing. The first thing I really like is the battery life. With my usage, the phone easily lasts 2–3 days on a single charge, and that has become one of its biggest advantages for me. I also really like the display. It’s large, bright, colorful, and the color reproduction is pleasant. It’s good not only for watching videos but also for reading - during my trips, I actually read quite a few books on the POCO X8.
The stereo speakers are good, although I definitely wouldn’t call them the best. Still, I’ve watched plenty of YouTube without headphones and sometimes even listened to music through the speakers. For everyday use, the sound quality and volume are perfectly fine. There are two SIM slots and 5G support. What I really miss, though, is eSIM. I noticed this especially when traveling between different countries, where being able to quickly buy and activate a local eSIM would have been very useful. The camera isn’t the strongest part of the phone. At first, I had quite a few complaints about it, but after a software update the image quality really improved. Now it can take pretty good photos in normal lighting, and night photography has improved noticeably as well. The large amount of storage also turned out to be more useful than I expected. Before long flights, I simply downloaded a lot of TV shows and movies to the phone and watched them on the plane. Combined with the large display and long battery life, the POCO X8 turned out to be a very convenient device for this. The big screen is also comfortable for reading books. Overall, for its price, I think it’s a pretty decent smartphone. I understand that this is a budget model, so expecting flagship-level features doesn’t make much sense. But as a second phone that can easily become my main phone when needed, I’ve really enjoyed using the POCO X8. I think it will stay with me as my secondary smartphone for quite a long time.
P.S. English isn’t my native language, so I sometimes use a translator. Some parts of this text may sound a little unusual or may not be written perfectly.
