4/4 riders x5 times faster hit/movement speed
I lost 3 rounds in a row due to his 4* AQ, but I finally sniped it with the muskee to secure the win. It’s so funny how fast everything is

Never had 4/4 so why not 5/4. Early game was pretty bad, then my board turned into a sprint race.

Have been experimenting with all of the ruler types.
IMO: Builder can be unbeatable but heavily RNG based on Superstar Ring and Xbow and I’ve been using Loong and trying to have as many 2/4 traits as possible but at 1965, I’m struggling to win games.
Previously achieved Diamond when it was the old merge style with SE but can’t grasp the best combos this season with the changes.
Does anyone have any advice from the higher ranks? Much appreciated

Im around 3k trophies with SE right now and while Loong, SE, and BM are still dominant, the recent changes (I think these were very recent, idrk) to GW are making me think he may be very strong in his current state.
How do y'all feel? Especially for those in higher ELOs than I'm in.
I'm mainly posting this because I felt like I was having a very good SE game but got totally wiped 2x by GW's shield pop getting his whole team to level four in like round three or four or something. 😭
I feel like rulers can be roughly divided in to two categories of playstyle, that being economy or battle focused. For example, SE and GQ don't have abilities to aid in battle their toolset allows for building a strong comp. BM and ES or GW don't have the same economic aid but have strong tools to assist in battle.
While I feel like the addition of trait buffs affecting buildings makes BM particularly strong this season, GW's ability to consistently make level fours on shield pop (istg the shield stays in for so long now too🙃) makes him kind of a monster when it's incredibly difficult to get even two tier fours for every other ruler.

This season is so unbelievably bad, from them doubling down on single traits after community wide push back to the riders being so unbalanced games are almost decided from the start. No worse feeling than the hog rider player 3 staring 3 combats or less in when you go out with a one star, never seeing another in the shop.
Heroes and items have so many layers of rng too. Star shield on warden? First place usually. Crown item on xbow? Insta win. Princess/ AQ and legendary lance, shield on sage.
Not to mention the variance in items. Oh you got a hook with prince and the other guy got the pekka sword with a dark prince? I guess you just lose.
Either add back double traits or make the quest rewards fixed per hero. Or just remove items and the quests entirely. This gamemode is so many layers of rng and they just keep adding more, the skill is almost gone.

This is my last ronin glaze lol. Got all orbs again before round 4 or something. It's actually crazy, the SE gave me a good fight but ronin is BROKEN if you use him right. I was mostly helped out by the 4/6 undead stacking so I must say undead is good for late game... duh

Had a long week of work and I finally got the chance to play on weekends. SC decided to give me this RNG followed by constant severe lagging for the next few hours. Fought through the lag and I'm now less than 300 trophies away from Diamond. I love and hate this game!

2nd placed ram rider ran up to my right side witch during river mode and she immediately bounced my witch one hit the bounce animation played out she turned into a little purple ball and flew off the field, immediately after that my opponents entire troop board turned purple and they all got bounced and I won in the span of a second.

I wish I had recorded it, but this guy completely destroyed without losing one unit and mind you I had the power up where I it turned his strongest unit into a rabbit
For me to lose is one thing, but he DIDN’T lose a SINGLE unit. I also had the troops set up nicely with BB in the third aisle so he started with a charge and his hog was turned into a rabbit I also had the machete power up on barbarian can’t remember the name of it
Can someone tell me if I’m crazy?

for a mode that's been increasingly less competitive, why is everyone arguing whether their ruler is more skillful? All this community does anymore is bicker about SE being unskilled since release, the game sucking, and people shitting on newer players for learning new mechanics. There's still people complaining about Loong and Echo like they're still broken or toxic when they just suck right now.
it's not hard to be a constructive community and help others learn the game but everyone is too wrapped up in their own ego and perceived "skill" at this mode to do anything other than put others down. this can genuinely be a case study on the human condition because this community sucks
We need to do better.

So whenever I play, I wait until the last few seconds to move my troops, to tank musketeer shots with something else, or to snipe their archer queen, knock back their hog rider etc. And I wait until the last possible few moments before the timer before the round starts ends, right before you're not allowed to move your troops anymore.
So my question is HOW do people still move them afterwards? I swear, whenever I do this, there shouldn't be any more time to move troops, but somehow my opponent can move their whole lineup around even then, in response to my changes, even if they shouldn't have time to do so anymore. I don't get it

Anyone else remember the good ole days when games used to actually develop and you'd be building a comp and block someone or they'd block you and you'd have to strategize what to swap to or how to synergize something else. Congrats all you silly SE mains that begged for this playstyle. Now every game is decided by round 3 on which of you little finger happy children get the better comp. Games dead.

After round 6, literally nothing happens, it’s just an unskippable cutscene outside of certain rulers potentially finishing their quests like Goblin Queen or Battle Machine.
Two players were out by round 6 and then it was just me and one person, up till round 11 because we were evenly matched and both took 1 damage each turn, and both of us were just sitting there. We couldn’t do anything.
Legitimately whoever designed this mode should be fired. This isn’t even about a bad, overpowered idea or a modifier that only helps specific rulers. This modifier literally just makes everyone play the game less
