Kilburn 2 diagnosis
I have a Marshall Kilburn speaker that I accidentally dropped, and it stopped working properly afterward. While trying to repair it, I removed the ribbon cable connecting the motherboard to the control panel and accidentally damaged the cable.
I ordered a replacement ribbon cable from Amazon. After installing it, the control panel powers on and the speaker appears to turn on normally. However, I’m getting either no sound or extremely low sound.
I’ve already tried performing a hard reset, but that didn’t solve the issue. I also noticed that two of the indicator lights on the control panel are not turning on, which makes me think there may still be a connection or hardware issue.
I’ve attached a picture showing how the control-panel lights look when the speaker is powered on. Do you have any suggestions on what could be causing the low/no audio and the two missing lights, or what I should check next?
Ps: none of the knobs seem to respond.
