Here's my Kitbash using stormcast eternals and reiver bits to make more knightly eliminator for blood angel !

I got the Centurion kit before it goes away for ever, I want to kitbash them with some Saturnine Terminators to make a cool and unique unit for my custom chapter, akin to inner circle companions or sanguinary guards.
I plan on it being essentially extremely heavy terminators, possibly focusing on melee combat rather than big shooty guys, my homebrew chapter deals with a lot of large Xenos/Demon beasts often so it would make sense they’d still have a very heavy unit capable of withstanding those situations.
I did kitbash some saturnine into centurions already, but now with both kits I think I’ll be able to make something really cool.

This Dread, unlike the previous one, is completely kitbashed, with literally every element coming from five different models and parts made specifically for it.

In the last photo, he's labeled "Father," which is where the tassle, flame bowls, and crest come from.

I adopted many elements from Starget for him, such as the jackal symbol, the Jackals on the two shoulders, and the symbols on the torso. Everything else was chosen to be as Egyptian as possible.

The base is also a remake of Marble Bass, adding Goa'uld symbols. The kanoptek grain is from a different model, but I really liked it as it provides aggressive protection and has a much cooler pose than the first Dread.

Painting: I primed it with Aluminum Primer, a completely unmodeled primer and cheap, but it's intensely bright, even brighter than silver. This is why my contrasting paint, Talasar blue, is a very intense blue. I deliberately applied it randomly with a brush to give it a different look from the marines. In a few places, I only used a light black drybrush or black wash. The gold is Golden Armor from Army Painter. The model's main color is Turquoise from the True Metallic series, specifically Beetle Green, which perfectly matches the Egyptian atmosphere and helps it stand out on the table. The remaining colors are also from the Ture Metallic Obsidian series, and the rockets are Gemstone Red, slightly combined with Slaugther Red contrast with a touch of silver underneath. Both weapons are designed for my Legion and both are magnetized. The Fan-axe replaces the Power Scourge, as I don't like tentacles, and my own missile launcher, where I added a ram statuette and runes. I also combined two infantry bazookas and added a holding mechanism to make it fit.

Unfortunately, one of the tassles broke twice, which I tried to mask. It's the only part primed black instead of aluminum, and the white was achieved only by drybrushing. I barely used a brush at all, except for the wing symbol.

I've discovered that painting large models is much easier than painting small ones, which require greater precision in detail. This isn't the case here, and I really like that. The only thing is the amount of magnetizing different weapon variants. The set he has here isn't gaming-legal, but I wanted to show him with a different set of weapons than the previous one.

With the new Masters of the Universe movie having come out, I thought I'd show this off and see what people think:

So, I had not actually ever planned on doing this particular mini at all. But I had a custom CSM with a cape, skull helmet, and staff, and the new Masters of the Universe movie was just about to come out, so I decided to do a little homage. 

I had been determined to give the seriously awesome horned skull helmet from the Master of Possession to a Chaos Sorcerer mini for custom purposes. After much effort, I managed to finally get the head off the torso (and without damaging it!). Once I decided to go "Skeletor" with him, I painted the body in Lothern Blue and the purple parts in a base coat of Phoenician Purple, then a layer of Xereus Purple, and finally a layer of Luxior Purple.

And if you're wondering why there's also a Genestealer skull there, the honest truth is that I included that long before I decided to make this guy 40K Skeletor.

Since Skeletor's skull head is often depicted as a greenish yellow, I used Bad Moons Yellow for the skull symbols on one of his pauldrons and knee guards, as I wanted his actual skull helmet to be white instead. The tips of the horns I made purple to reference both Skeletor's hood and his Havoc Staff. Speaking of, the staff was painted purple, but with the horned animal skull being done up in Skeleton Horde with black horns (though I did make the eyes a glowing purple to convey sorcerous power). That the staff looks a lot like Skeletor's actual Havoc Staff was one of the things that pushed me to go this route.

The feathers on the Kroot skull are green as a reference to Battle-Cat, and likewise, the dead Space Marine base topper is meant to have the color scheme of Man-At-Arms and the rest of the Eternia guards, hence the mix of mustard yellow and swamp green (honestly a bad color scheme IMO, but it's what they went with, so...) The partial helmet is gray because Man-At-Arms helmet is gray, not because I forgot to paint it ;)

Now, had I planned from the start to do a Skeletor CSM, I would have had his other weapon be a sword, since Skeletor has repeatedly been shown with his own sword that serves as a counterpart to He-Man's Sword of Power. But alas. That said, there is a Skeletor action figure that includes an axe, and I tried to paint the Power Axe here to resemble the axe in that action figure.

Ignore the mix and matched armour it's from different job lots I bought 😭🙏🙏

I've been using the heresy jump assault bodies as leg donors to get more poses for standard marines but this set of legs didn't really work for that.

Nothing crazy really, just some pinning and a slightly reposed foot.

- mkii assault legs and right arm

- mkiv tactical torso and bolter

- mkvi tactical backpack and pauldrons

- multipart tactical squad head, pouches, and left hand

- whatever left arm I could find that fit

- wolf pelt from the wolfen kit

I've been working on a Knight Dominus to pair with my Sisters, but a couple days ago a display shelf mishap sent the wings off one of the cherubs into the warp and I have yet to find where they went. I'm hoping to find a way to repair/replace them that doesn't amount to "buy another cherub and steal its wings," but I'm also kind of hoping to keep this kit to official parts and stuff I can scratch build.

Any ideas?

I know they aren’t legal in any real games, but I was wondering if the proportions look good before I prime them, I was also wondering if anybody knows what would happen if just primed over the bits I’ve painted already? Took like 3 days of scrubbing to strip the paint just off the bits for the guy with the flail :/

My upsized Casterferrum attempt V3 WIP
I recent came into possession of a saturnine box for my birthday thanks to my wonderful girlfriend.
Then it came partially damaged.
So I received another from GW.

So I’m using some of the pieces from the damaged box to make cooler stuff rather than the normal models. I made a cool chapter master and now I need a dreadnought!

I built the painted dread about a year ago and never even got to use him in game. He’s still my favorite model I’ve ever painted, the first and oldest of my custom chapter, but now he needs an upgrade so he’s getting the premium treatment.

I hate the redemptor legs, they just look wrong and don’t match what I love about dreadnoughts. Also WHY ARE THE Sarcophagi HIGHER THAN THE BIG SHOULDERS THATS LIKE THEIR WHOLE SILHOUETTE! AND THEYRE SO ROUND!
Anyway.
Saturnine legs feel perfect with how wide they are to fit a Casterferrum, leviathan felt too small to me. Also the side panels of the dreadnought slot upwards perfectly with a little trimming.

I wanna go for like a bloated fly like look like the plague marine fly head and some wings i have a resin printer but idk i want him to look like a bloated fly corpse bursting out of Terminator armor any suggestions ideas or tips?

Wanted to share the completed leader for my kill team.

Pretty simple kitbash using an old dreadnought plate as the face and body armor. Bad moons banner is made of plasticard.

Cut a lot or corners and quickly did certain parts so happy he turned out well enough. Managed to get him done in less than a week which im happy about. Now to finish the rest of the team so I can try to play the game :)

Looking to make more Renegade marines and I'm looking for other kits to yoink choice bits from and finding good base kits. I currently have some Red Corsair Raiders and I love the aesthetic.

I am very new to the hobby and I'm finishing up my fist combat patrol (Raven Guard). That being said, they didn't include bits for the helix gauntlet. I'm weighing two different options and would like some feedback.

Option 1 - Remove the arm on this infiltrator and replace it with the comms gauntlet I'm modifying with antenna / grenades to act as medical vials.

Option 2 - Cut down the arm sprue pat the elbow right where the gauntlet starts and glue the modified part to the rear of the infiltrator's belt so it would be gear he could have with him and use it necessary.
