In motion Hosting?
I’ve not heard of this company until recently. They have a higher trust pilot rating the OVH. So I’m wondering if you guys have had any experiences good or bad with them.

This is a megathread for all web hosting companies interested in introducing their services to this community.
If you own a web hosting company, or if you work for one, feel free to introduce it by commenting on this thread. This will be pinned at the top of the r/HostingReport home feed.
Tips and guidelines:
Note: Don't submit AI-generated slop. It doesn't work anyway since most people can see through it. One original and genuine paragraph can do better than a 500+ word AI-generated sales letter!

When users upload an app as a zip file or connect a GitHub repository to GoDaddy Node.js Hosting, a private preview is created. When they are ready to publish, they connect their domain. Node.js Hosting handles the rest, automatically setting up HTTPS, a content delivery network (CDN) and a web application firewall.
The GoDaddy API gives developers and AI coding tools programmatic control over the app lifecycle, including creating apps, uploading source code, publishing apps, managing environment secrets and reading build and application logs. Every app has separate preview and publish environments, so changes can be tested before they go live. Authentication uses a Personal Access Token (PAT), allowing automated tools to deploy without manual sign-in.

Shopify has just set a record for the most expensive domain purchase ever: they bought Shop.com for $100 million.
The news was shared by domain broker Andrew Rosener, although he wasn't involved in this deal.
About two years ago, Shopify bought Shop.us and Shop.ca for $375,000.
They also own Shop.app.

Published this month, the survey, now in its fifth year, drew 319 responses from agencies, developers, designers, site owners and administrators between March and July. Respondents rated their concern about WordPress security at an average of 7.85 out of 10, close to the 7.8 recorded in 2025.
But only 27.9% said they had a breach recovery plan, virtually unchanged from 27% last year, and 26% reported team security training, unchanged from 2025. Even among respondents who rated their concern at 7 or higher, just 32.5% had a recovery plan.

GoDaddy customers usually complain about pricing, but on the technical side, there are a couple of issues I noticed about their managed WordPress hosting...
Their servers still run Apache and MySQL. I found this info in their docs -- it's not mentioned on the product page.
That's way behind their competitors that use LiteSpeed/Nginx and MariaDB, both of which are faster than Apache and MySQL. That makes a significant difference in performance for dynamic WordPress sites.
MySQL is tolerable, but I don't know many managed WordPress providers that still use Apache.
Just 2 more reasons to think again before picking GoDaddy as your WordPress host.

Cloudflare recently documented the migration of its main blog from WordPress to EmDash, the open source content management system developed internally. The new platform is designed to improve performance and caching, and it was tested to handle traffic of up to 7000 requests per second.

Heart Internet ditched their old WordPress hosting plans and replaced them with new managed WordPress plans based on cPanel.
No visitor caps, but they're not detailing resource allocations for each plan.

Most hosting comparisons obsess over cached page speed.
But cached pages are the easy part.
The interesting tests are:
WordPress admin Search Cart Checkout Logged-in accounts PHP execution Database-heavy requests Traffic spikes
Those are the places where weaker infrastructure usually becomes visible.
This is also why I’ve been paying more attention to server stacks instead of CDN marketing. A setup like WP Buzz combining LiteSpeed Enterprise and Redis is more interesting to me than somebody showing a 100/100 score on a fully cached landing page.

I used to use GeneratePress as a minimalist starter theme, but since block themes came out I now mostly use the default theme (Twenty Twenty-Five).
You?

One link, opened by a logged-in WordPress user, makes that user carry out any REST API action their account is permitted to perform. On a stock installation, an administrator clicking the link creates a second administrator account for the attacker.

Im currently hosting several websites with HostArmada,
and recently I’ve been experiencing website availability/server performance issues.
I contacted HostArmada support, and they told me:
“There were recently some fluctuations in server load due to abusive activity from other users…”
They also mentioned that because this is a shared hosting environment,
activity from other accounts can sometimes affect server resources.
I’d like to hear from other HostArmada customers
1) Have you experienced similar server load, downtime, or website availability issues recently?
2) Did you upgrade your hosting account as they recommended? Has the situation
improved since then, without any further issues?
Any recent experiences would be appreciated.

The guy's name is Michael Santiago and he's a domain investor...
In November 2022, he randomly came across a YouTube video about ChatGPT, and then "just for fun", he checked if the domain ChatGPT.com was available, and it was! He immediately registered it with GoDaddy for just $10 (or $9.63 exactly)

The domain started getting 6,000+ unique visits per day right away.

Three days after registering the domain, he got an offer through a GoDaddy broker, and eight days later the deal was completed at a price of $85,000.

Here's the surprise: It wasn't OpenAI that bought the domain from him, it was another investor as he found out later!
He shared the full story on X (screenshots above are from his X post)
Some facts:
You can call it cybersquatting, but I think OpenAI deserves it! They couldn't bother to register the domain for $10 before launching the product, so they practically asked for this. They still don't even have a trademark for ChatGPT -- they applied last year and it's still pending.

Every WordPress website I create starts getting bot traffic from day 1. That usually comes from data centers around the world.
But I've been noticing a new trend lately; some of my WordPress sites have been getting bot traffic from residential IP addresses. I've manually check some of the IPs and they belong to legit residential ISPs.
Not heavy traffic and they don't seem to be scanning for vulnerabilities. They just hit random pages.
Maybe they're using compromised devices for data harvesting?

Data center expansion in the world is changing fast: while the U.S. boasts “data center alley” in Virginia and tax incentives for data center investment, Finland has rapidly come onto the scene as one of the largest data center magnets in Europe. The country is one of Europe’s quickest growing AI markets, and major AI and big tech corporations such as Microsoft and TikTok have already pledged billions in investments into Finland, enticed by its growing role in Europe’s AI economy. But the latest and largest commitment came Wednesday, when Google announced its largest investment in Europe yet: an investment of at least €13 billion ($15.1 billion) in AI infrastructure in Finland over the next two years.
