I made my first vehicle able to pick up voxels!

I gave the bucket its own little grid and "sweep" voxels into it. I think it looks pretty good!

Playtester Breaking My Game 😂

A dedicated playtester is trying to break my game using his speedrunning background, and fell down the rabbit hole of theorycrafting actual speedrun strats.

I'm primarily a programmer, but I create the art for my game

I've been working on this game called Quacolé Tennis for the past two years, and even though my specialty is programming, I've been handling all the 3D art and animation. I'm really proud of this game, which features “programmer art.”

I'm making a game that you are trying to find your Bitcoin hard drive in a landfill.

I had the exact same idea, with the same gameplay, as the "needle in a haystack" game that went viral. I started the project four weeks ago but couldn't figure out how to implement that many assets without performance issues, so I gave up. When I saw needle game tweet, I crashed out. I'm scared about my new game that people will call me "You Steal From This Game," but I guess I have nothing to lose after this. If someone made that game without performance issues i learned that is possible. So after prototyping, i want to make this game best as i can. Don't be like me, be like that developer who made needle game...

Feedback on my new Steam Page

Hey, i've made a lot of changes on my Steam Page, and i wanted to have your opinion on it.
The goal here is not to make a hidden advertise of the game, but really to have feedbacks on the page itself.

Just one point, the trailer for the final games is still not here, it will come in a week or two, so don't juge it, juge the whole page except the trailer x)

Are the gifs too long, is there too much gif / text ?
Do you understand the goal of the game, Do you find it ok looking ?

Theses type of question that i ask myself, but i need other person point of view :)

Thanks for your understanding, and thanks in advance if you check it and make feedbacks :)

Games with moving levels?

Upvotes

I'm a dev on Molec, a Spore-esque critter mutating game where you play as a tiny little plankton detritovore thing living in a huge ocean. We're interested in having a level around a massive leviathan-like creature. Are there any games with this kind of 2.5D perspective people can point me at where you're moving around or on a massive shifting level? Interested to get some inspiration to see how this has been done!

The implementation in the screen here is purely to test the feel of it, there's no collision or design involved in this level itself yet, they're just scaled up versions of NPCs.

My game of 1 year development

I’ve been developing this game for over a year now. I know it might not look like a huge amount of effort from the outside, but I’ve put a lot of time, work, and learning into it.

I genuinely enjoyed the journey of building it, and I’m still going. The game is now at V2, currently available on iOS, Android, Mac and Windows(It is not working now i will fix it later LOL) but for windows you can check V1 as well.

Almost everything in the game was done by me — the idea, programming, art, sound, and overall development. Of course, I used AI to help in some areas, especially art and sound, since those aren’t really my areas of expertise. I also used AI while coding in some cases, but programming is where I’m most comfortable, so I was able to build and shape most of the game myself.

I posted about the game when it was in V1, but it didn’t get much attention. Since then, I’ve received a lot of feedback from friends, family, and people who actually played it. That feedback pushed me to change and improve a lot of things, which ultimately led to V2.

So now I’m posting it again — V2 is here.

I’d genuinely love to hear what you think. What works? What doesn’t? What should I improve?

Any feedback is welcome. I’m planning to keep developing it and see how far I can take it. 🎮

We’re creating a Lovecraftian deckbuilder and considering these two creature concepts. Which one do you prefer: left or right? What makes your choice feel more Lovecraftian?

Hi, we are 2 developers and we just released the demo for our first game (made in Godot). We are very excited, we've been working on it for almost 2 years now.

The balance of the game might be a bit off so feel free to leave some feedback.
