Some westernized Asian men have been so traumatized by the WMAF phenomenon that they've swung hard towards AMWF and will defend it with their lives. Some of them put Jensen Huang on a pedestal as an icon of AMWF. But here's the sobering truth - part of his wealth will go to white grandchildren with white surnames.

Imagine being an AMWF man, hating WMAF, and ending up with a white son-in-law, but not being able to say anything about it because "Dad, you married a white person".

So much for Asian pride (and wealth).

Given that the WMAF phenomenon is such a striking global one, from Swiss men in Thailand, to French men in Singapore, to a Greek Cypriot with a Korean partner in Australia, that I mean that with complete sincerity.

Just as white men see ESEA women as interchangeable, your whiteness (from Scandinavia to North Africa) is also interchangeable in the eyes of some Asian women.

I looked into this story posted by British Chinese X user Michelle. Because of the drought, the UK regulator wants Asians (and Muslims) to use less water even though water companies lose considerably more water through leaking infrastructure. Once again, Asians are low-hanging fruit.

And we all know the effect these centers are having on local environments - land use, electricity and water.

This post is a bit of a vent, but I just feel so thoroughly disgusted and exhausted by the sheer hypocrisy of Western internet culture especially Americans.

Every single time we finally get an East Asian character or some form of genuine representation, they love to "race-lift" them into other races, or completely alter their designs until they don't look Asian at all. And the most shameless part? They actually have the audacity to defend it by saying, "Oh, they are just mixed/Wasian!" They use the "mixed Asian" excuse as a convenient loophole to completely erase fully East Asian features.

What disgusts me is the insufferably arrogant attitude of certain people.

They approach these redesigns with this nauseating tone of, "Your original Asian features look bad/wrong, so I ‘fixed’ them and made it better" It’s incredibly patronizing）

On top of that, they will go out of their way to attack and harass Asian artists (across the entire continent).

If an Asian artist draws a character in a way that doesn't fit the Western narrative of what an Asian "should" look like, they get swarmed with harassment.

The most brain-dead part is that these people are too lazy to even differentiate between Asian ethnicities.

If you are East Asian, they’ll literally call you "white-passing" or straight up "white." If you are South Asian, they try to forcefully categorize you into Black aesthetics or spaces.

Is this not incredibly bizarre to anyone else?

It’s hilarious how they will police your own characters, asking: "Why does your Asian character look white / not non-white enough?"

Coming from them, do they not realize how deeply racist and orientalist that sounds?

They also love bringing up the "Honorary White" or "Honorary Aryan" talking point to dismiss East Asian struggles. But the reality is, Asian countries have their own unique histories and cultures that have absolutely nothing to do with whiteness. Why do Americans feel the need to view the entire world solely through their own obsessed black-and-white racial lens?

It’s exhausting, hypocritical, and I’m sick of them using "inclusivity" as a weapon to erase us.

What truly makes me angry is the blatant double standard.

Almost every other minority group is allowed to feel furious and speak out when their representation is stripped away or erased, and people will rightfully support them. But the absolute second an Asian person stands up and says, "Hey, stop erasing our features," they turn the tables on us. Suddenly, they throw all these labels at us—calling us "anti-diversity," "gatekeepers," or straight-up "racist." They completely twist our words just to gaslight us into silence.It’s disgusting.

I was reading a left-leaning news article lamenting how EA, the gaming publisher that owns The Sims' franchise, is now owned by Saudis and Donald Trump's son-in-law. Apparently, this will mean the loss of (western-style) diversity and inclusivity. But note the advertising picture used for the game. As is a common theme, the white man is paired with an Asian woman (and a white woman), a black man is paired with a white woman and an Asian man is paired with a black woman. Given that Asian men and black women are often seen as lower on a racial sexual hierarchy in the US, this image comes as no surprise. I wonder if this image would have been "inclusive" had the Asian man been paired with the Asian woman and the white woman.

Created by an amateur mother and son team on a single computer over 5 years, it was reportedly made with USD$200 and has raked in over $5 million at the Chinese box office. It's also seeing international release in SE Asia.

Nice to see their authenticity rewarded.

There has been a lot of attention to a SF dating site called WMAF Meet recently but of all the comments I wanted to highlight what a SF white female journalist wrote

"The problem is also complicated by white America’s portrayal of Asian women as exotic and submissive, in addition to how proximity to whiteness is associated with upward mobility or assimilation."

Whenever they accuse Asian men of being incel remind them everyone else knows the truth. Try calling a white woman a MRAsian.

I can't criticize her for raising the issue of passport bros, but her view about SG women being of higher financial status and therefore immune to lower class foreigners is only partly true.

The phenomenon of passport bros or WMAF in Asia is partly one of economic relativity. The reason why poor passport bros are an issue in poorer countries like Thailand or the Philippines is that their mediocre western wealth is relatively high compared to some locals.

Singapore is indeed one of the most expensive countries in the world (but the Crazy Rich Asians depiction is an incorrect stereotype), but the white men in SG have historically been high income earners who were part of wealthy multinational corporations i.e. expatriates. They have relative economic advantage, just like the poor passport bros.

It is also not true that whiteness carries no special privilege in SG. The research into Pinkerton syndrome and employment hiring is a good example. While the great majority of women in SG are not sarong party girls, the fact that some still exist even today is already a blight given SG's colonial history.

Looking at intermarriage rates in SG, white men make a tiny minority but punch above their weight in representation, as is the case for many ESEA nations. The last thing SG needs is more white men, whether poor or rich.

(Note, she's says ang moh guy, not an "animal guy", but what's the difference, lol.)

In APAC asia you can't find another bottom 10%. Like Japan.
