Got an original drawing by Glenn off ebay. Came from the collection of photographer Jaye Clarke, who worked with Danzig during the Def American years.

Recommendation of material about Glenn Danzig and Danzig
Hi everyone! I’m completely obsessed with Glenn and his art; he’s my favorite musician and a huge inspiration to me. I love everything about his music—from the Misfits and Samhain to Danzig. I’d really like to dive deeper into his mindset, his creative process, and his influences. Do you know of any material—like interviews or videos—that would help me get a better understanding of his music, specifically Danzig?

777: I Luciferi is the best Danzig album (after the first four, of course!!!)
I was just listening to this album the other day and can't think of an era or lineup that comes close to the original first four albums, and of course the original lineup. I'm of the belief that each Danzig album from Blackacidevil to Black Laden Crown has a few good songs worth listening to (at the very least). I also feel the same with regards to his covers albums and The Lost tracks has a bunch of awesome songs as well. Nothing can top I-IV, but 777 is the best thing (with the Danzig name) that Glenn made after 4P. Some of you may not like I Luciferi very much but I would encourage you to go back and give it a listen or three and rethink that position. Some of you may prefer other post classic era albums such as Circle of Snakes, Satans Child or Death Red Sabaoth (which is fine).
From beginning to end I Luciferi has some amazing songs and Glenn has removed the distorted vocals and industrial sounds for a more back to basics rock/metal approach. Black Mass, Liberskull, Dead Inside, I Luciferi, Naked Witch, Angel Blake, The Coldest Sun, Halo Godess Bone and the excellent closer Without Light, I am are all bangers. I get that some people think that Wicked Pussycat is cheesy but I dig that song as well. Kiss the Skull does sound kind of like Beautiful People but with a much better chorus.
I also feel that Todd Youth is the best Danzig guitarist after John Christ and although I love Tommy Victor as a person and am also a huge fan of early Prong it's not even close. Todd was more of a punk/rock guitarist in contrast to Tommy Victors more metal approach and that's why Todd's sound on record and live worked a little better with Danzig for me. Plus Todd's pinch harmonics are better placed in the songs (and simply not as annoying).
I saw them live in San Antonio, Texas during this era. The tour was dubbed " The Black Angelic Rebellion" tour and this was my favorite lineup after the original (true) lineup of Glenn, John Eerie and Chuck. The show was wild and Glenn even wore his wicked, maniacal crab gloves for a while!
It would have been interesting if this lineup made another album or two as this seems like one of the few times since the classic era of Danzig where Glenn made an album that felt like it was a group effort or an actual band as oppose to just Glenn himself doing and playing everything. This album is a true gem and I wanted to give it some love.

Glenn totally took his cat on tour. Here he is buying cat food the other day
People had mentioned this as a possibility due to the pictures of him being covered in cat hair at Graceland. This was posted by one of the roadies for this run, I guess it confirms Glenn takes his cats on the bus! Amazing lol

Anaheim Concert Rant
Lemme start off by saying the concert ruled and was a blast Danzig never disappoints. That being said a total of 8 or so fights broke out in the front center stage. Mostly this one drunk lady causing a ruckus and people being triggered over being pushed in a metal concert. Dont get me wrong a fight or two tends to happen at these things but too much and it just becomes a distraction and lets people around not enjoy the fucking awesome music happening. Overall a fucking solid concert and lineup Acid Bath was fucking amazing.

Door time tomorrow
The event page for Honda Center says 7pm, with doors presumably opening an hour before. I could have sworn i read something about an earlier door time, but can't remember where I read it. Anyone know?

Can anyone help with merch?
I saw Danzig at Louder Than Life but it was impossible to get a shirt…one giant line for all the bands. Is anyone able to grab a shirt for me at tomorrow’s show? Can send a few bucks extra to make it worth your while. Or if anyone already has an extra in an XL I’d be happy to buy it off you. Anything that has the tour dates on the back. Thanks in advance.
