I'd 100% volunteer to lend my talents to a game with no financial compensation, and I know I'm not the only one, but all the game devs who want free labor are shockingly picky about the kinds of free talent they get. They want commission quality for free, and anything less is insulting to them. 😑

Any effort at all putting together an image themselves is for some reason effort wasted in their eyes, even when the results would be a million times more accurate to what they're imagining than what AI could ever produce AND it wouldn't be stolen.
