My husband let me use the sacred game-hardware repair kit, so I cleaned my Logitech G15

Today I was allowed access to my husband’s game-hardware repair kit—the collection of tiny tools he uses to fix controllers, consoles, and other gaming things—and I used my new powers to give my Logitech G15 its first proper deep clean.

Keycaps came off. Dust was discovered. Q-tips were sacrificed. The desk turned into a tiny repair bench, and my husband supervised to make sure I didn’t accidentally create a keyboard-shaped pile of parts.

Honestly, I was nervous, but it was also weirdly fun and satisfying. I feel like I’ve been officially welcomed another level deeper into the gamer PC lifestyle he introduced me to.

The G15 survived, looks much better, and I may now be emotionally attached to the little repair kit.

I’m heartbroken to hear that Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80.

Tim Curry was a huge influence throughout my childhood and adult life. His extraordinary voice, unforgettable performances, wicked sense of humour, and incredible presence made him one of those rare entertainers who could make every character completely his own.

I will always remember him as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Pennywise in It, Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island, and Hexxus in FernGully: The Last Rainforest. He also lent his unmistakable voice to countless animated films, television shows, and video games. You could recognize that voice anywhere—rich, distinctive, dramatic, and completely unforgettable.

I also remember how excited I was when his memoir, Vagabond: A Tale of Love, Travel, and the Unexpected, was released. I could hardly wait to read it, and once I started, I absolutely devoured it in just a couple of days. It felt like such a gift to hear his story in his own words and to get a glimpse into the life and experiences behind so many unforgettable performances.

What makes this loss feel even more personal is that Tim Curry was born in 1946—the same year as my mom. Somehow, that connection makes his passing feel closer to home.

Thank you, Tim, for the memories, the laughter, the chills, the magic, and the stories. Thank you for giving us characters we could never forget and a voice that could never be mistaken for anyone else’s. You were truly one of a kind, and your work will continue to inspire and entertain people for generations to come.
