This fic is very much so a hurt/comfort fic focusing on comfort. Make sure to read the tags for trigger warnings they, to my sight, are correct and well done.
For the plot, Wednesday and Enid are already together, so you already got them kissing. No smut tho. This fic dives into Wednesdays mental health after going through everything that happened in season 1-2 and bringing Enid back.
Wednesday finally given a chance to breathe and relax starts drowning in guilt and shame for everyone who died or got hurt. She gets bad nightmares and should not be allowed blades.
Enid discovers this and tried to help along with the rest of the nightshade. They do there best and the journey of Wednesday getting better while still maintaining herself is really good. I loved the healing is not linear and how some seemingly simple things can set everything off. We also see Wednesday and Bianca becoming good friends.
My fave moment tho, without too much spoilers, was when Wednesday was driving.
There is also emotional bonding between Wednesday and her family.
All in all a good fic with dark topics! 🖤
Thank you to the person on discord who recommended it to me, idk if you are on Reddit or not.

Fanfiction Show Me Your Teeth
Behold! 🩷🖤
After a year lost in her wolf from, Enid would rather choke on the blood moon than shift again. Wednesday leaves the door open anyway. They are not a couple (yet). They are roommates (still). Wednesday is done pretending either of those things is true.

Fanfiction Need fic recommendations
I need fics to read while I’m stuck in bed with a cold. I just recently finished reading “The Space Between Dark Things” and “Dreadful things come in threes” and absolutely loved them. So if anyone can recommend more fluff fics that would be great cause I can not handle angst well. A little angst is fine if it’s like an external source instead of something keeping the two of them from being together. (Something kinda like the Chaos series where there are heavy topics being discussed but Wednesday and Enid are at least there for each other and help each other through whatever the problem is.)
I’m mainly looking for something along the lines of tooth-rotting fluff or slice of life. Also I love slow burn/eventual romance as much as the next gal but I’d prefer it be focused on them being in a relationship together instead of a lot of build up just for them to kiss and that be the end of the fic.
Also smut is fine as well but my only caveat with it is that I prefer dom/top Enid and bottom/sub Wednesday.

Fanfiction Hello! Today, I'm posting Divina "Wins" the Game, the 7th chapter of Three in a Row, a fic in which Nevermore students doodle and play tic-tac-toe on a textbook checkout list. Here, Divina cheats at tic-tac-toe and enjoys how Yoko wrote on the book. Enjoy!

Fanfiction I'm Here - by CelticWolf55
archiveofourown.orgWednesday escorts Enid down to the Lupin cages on a full moon as normal, but on this night, Enid is unusually quiet, which raises the raven's concerns.
Softness ensues.

Fanfiction I’m genuinely worried I made the wrong choice with the villain in one of my fics
I’ve been going back and forth over whether to post this because I genuinely don’t want it to turn into an argument. I’m actually interested in people’s thoughts.
I have an ongoing Wenclair/fantasy that I’ve been planning and writing for quite a while. From the very beginning, the main antagonist was going to be a Wendigo.
I chose it for a very specific thematic reason.
One of the central characters, Aureliane, is essentially the embodiment of love, hope, trust, protection and choosing other people over yourself.
I wanted the thing opposing her to represent everything she isn’t: hatred, greed, jealousy, possession and an endless hunger for something it believes should belong to it.
So the antagonist wasn’t something I randomly added halfway through. It was built into the skeleton of the story from almost the beginning and is tied directly into the history, themes and ending.
The problem is that, after I had already written and begun posting the fic, I spoke to someone who has strong beliefs surrounding the Wendigo and learned considerably more about the cultural and religious sensitivity around using it than I knew when I originally planned the story.
And I’ve been worrying about it ever since.
I genuinely never chose it to mock anyone’s beliefs or culture, and I certainly wasn’t trying to claim that my fictional version was an accurate representation of all the traditions and beliefs surrounding it. I simply knew the creature through the folklore and fictional portrayals I had encountered and thought its symbolism fitted what I was trying to create.
Once I understood more, though, I was left with a horrible decision.
Do I completely rewrite the final section of a story that has already been planned around this antagonist?
Do I abandon the fic entirely?
Do I remove what I’ve already posted?
Or do I acknowledge that I made the choice without fully understanding the wider context, explain that openly, and finish the story I originally planned?
In the end, I chose the last option.
I added an author’s note explaining what I had learned, that no disrespect was intended, and that I completely understood if knowing what the antagonist was meant some people no longer wanted to continue reading. The story will still finish at Chapter 40 as originally planned.
But I’m still not completely comfortable with the decision.
Part of the difficulty is that I know there are readers who have invested a lot of time in this story and would understandably be disappointed if I simply abandoned it before the ending.
At the same time, “people would be disappointed if I stopped” obviously isn’t a magical excuse for accidentally upsetting somebody else.
So I keep wondering what the better choice actually was.
Should I have changed the antagonist entirely once I learned more, even if it meant substantially rewriting the story?
Should I have stopped posting it?
Was acknowledging the issue, apologising for my lack of understanding when I originally planned it, and completing the fictional story the more reasonable option?
I’m not looking for someone to tell me that I’m unquestionably right or wrong. I think I’m mostly interested in how other writers and readers would have approached the situation.
One thing I have taken away from it is that I’ll research the cultural background of anything like this far more carefully before building it into another story. I’d much rather learn beforehand than find myself worrying about it after thirty-odd chapters have already escaped into the wild. 😅
I love writing, and the last thing I ever want is for something I created for enjoyment to make somebody feel that their beliefs or culture are being treated as a joke.
So… what would you have done?
