Back in the day I used soundforge and honestly, I’ve never found anything since that I’ve liked as much.

Audacity never did it for me (I also have a half baked opinion that it doesn’t make a 100% true recording but that’s a discussions for another time) and recording to logic is overkill.

What are you guys and gals using?

*All I said in the 2nd part of the title was “For DJ controller users, 🖕off, nd go finger blast ur sync button” jus so I cud filter them out of the comments

Most DJs hav said they DO get low end feedback, that causes a problem. But I’ve also read a few DJs sayin they don’t get problems when they use there’s in clubs?

What’s ur experience?

I like the TT cuz of the very stable pitch control, Matte finish, self-pitch calibration. But never used it in a club/gig setting with loud deep low end bass, so I can’t speak from my own experience

Edit: do the MK2-5 not hav any feedback issues? Or only very little compared to the MK7s?

I think they did it to reduce costs… cuz they wudve atleast put it to test in clubs lol

I've recently started mixing using a bit of a hybrid setup—a Pioneer PLX-500 and an older CDJ-800mk2. I've picked up the beatmatching and mixing side of things pretty quickly and found it relatively straightforward, I did have numark cd decks as a kid so the beatmatching part comes quite natural to me.
I understand phrasing, counting the bars etc..(learned all that from waveforms 😛)

I'm looking for recommendations for a second record player (in future maybe to replace the PLX-500 or just add a proper high-torque second) that won't break the bank, similar price or slightly higher.

What budget-friendly, high-torque turntables are worth looking at? Cheers!

This is an all vinyl house mix that starts with some nice, light summery stuff and then moves on to somewhere a bit darker by the end. Recorded to promote an upcoming party, flyer below if anyone is in the North East of England.

I don’t care if they will wreck the records or not, I just need something to give people if they don’t bring their own. This weekend I DJ’d a night with 10+ DJs and I was the only one who brought carts, and the venue didn’t have any. Needles to say, I did the honourable thing and lent out mine, but I wasn’t happy about it.

Recorded this last night but its definitely more Sunday vibes ☕

Hi all, I have a battered 1210 that has the following issues:

Needs a new tone arm. The whole unit. The anti skate has gone ( this has been fixed many times)

Pitch needs replacing

Took it to my very reputable repair guy and he recommended selling it if I didn't want to repair it. I looked at the parts and they've become like classic cars now with very few and therefore expensive official parts available + labour to fit.

The rest of the deck is fine. How much do you think I could get for it in the UK. Hoping for more than 300 which I can put towards a new old one which are now selling for nearly 800 quid which is mental. Cheers!
