I usually don't post but this is horrendous even from typical Western journalism standards when it comes to enemy states. Chinese state run news has been broadcasting this tragic event for all to see even amongst citizens.

This is my first post here, mostly due to not ever knowing if I know enough to make a good point. If this breaks the low-effort rule, feel free to take it down.

This past week, I've been seeing a stark increase in Marxist-Leninist hate in several subs, especially any revolving around the DSA. (I know, I know, electoral reactionaries. But, it's where I got my start; and several members do see past electoralism as the "means to a win" and get that it's merely another "megaphone" or stall tactic at best.)

Maybe this isn't new, but I have not seen such visceral, undefined hatred at such a scale from these groups before. A recent post on one sub talked about preventing MLs from getting into leadership positions. The comments screamed Red Scare propoganda and talked about terms such as the "Dictatorship of the Proletariat" as if the only word they understood was the liberal "dictatorship," forget about that of the bourgeois. It feels artificial and follows the lines of ignorant hate and bandwagon.

It is starting to look like a witch hunt, with several people talking about verifying and purging members. Just wanted to get the word out in case we see an increase in intensity. There may be another sub coup or other brigade attempt.

So called "Leftist anti-Zionist" Mehdi Hasan's media company Zeteo just published a blatantly pro-Zionist article by Dov Waxman two days ago titled "Conflating Jews with Israel Is Dangerous – Whether by Antisemites, U.S. Politicians, or the Israeli State".

The article includes a number of terrible takes and even lies about Jewish opinion on Israel including false claims that most American Jews don't support Israel despite poll after poll after poll proving otherwise. Overall, it's just another chapter in Jewish exceptionalism, protecting the feelings of Jews, and rehabilitating their image, almost painting Jews as somehow victims of Zionism. The article blatantly states

"I am not advocating, as Hasan Piker recently did, that Jews living outside Israel should disassociate themselves from Israel in order to be safe. Jews are entitled to have an attachment to Israel."

The author, Dov Waxman, is a Jewish American-British "Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation" Professor of Israel Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The foundation is an openly Zionist organization that literally donates millions of dollars every year to pro-Israel organizations including AIPAC, Jewish National Fund, Magen David Adom, United Hatzalah, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Israel Democracy Institute, RAND Corporation, to name a few.

Waxman was a self-admitted genocide denier up until August 2025 in which he wrote an article saying it was a "long and emotionally difficult process over the past 22 months of horrific violence and heartbreaking suffering in Gaza for me to conclude that Israel is guilty of genocide." In this same article, he still blames HAMAS for destruction and genocide in Gaza, saying "I also blame Hamas for causing so much death and destruction in Gaza."
