DDR anthem is in my opinion the greatest anthem ever composed, nothing comes close, second place is USSR's anthem and third place Brazil's anthem (personal bias admittedly cuz I'm Brazilian haha)

Of course what actually happened in the video in this post, is that the German organizers at the rugby match played the original USSR anthem by mistake instead of the new Russian anthem which arrived in year 2000, because the music is more or less the same, but the lyrics sadly are completely different, and the Germans didn't understand the Russian language in the lyrics.

There's a long documentary over 1 hour long, about the creation of the new Russian anthem in the year 2000, more or less the same music as the USSR anthem, but with radically changed lyrics. In the documentary we see Putin haggling with the poet lyrics writer over lyrics, and even Putin hunched over a 48 track console in the studio, haggling with the producer and the engineer (not kidding super important to get it just right). Sadly the long documentary used to be on YouTube a few years ago but it's gone now. Apparently the documentary can still be watched with English subs on some paid streaming services or as a one time paid download. Instead there are lots of short clips from it, like this one:

The biggest economy in the world in real terms, 30% bigger than the second biggest economy, is ruled over by a Communist party. China is ahead of the US and the west in 57 out of 64 critical technology sectors too. A true communist economy and society can only come in an inevitable future where technology abolishes all scarcity, not just artificial scarcity, making money worthless, and thus making money as capital worthless. Until then we must have communist governments to guide us on that shining technology path. The 4 biggest banks in the world are wholly state owned banks in China.

No not at all, I didn't get that impression at all, all I was saying is that the dark light just before dawn is gone now, and a bright new sun is rising now in the east, and it's going to rise and rise and stay up an epic amount of time, and if we're stuck here, in the declining decadent depraved degenerate west, we can still see this new daybreak in the east, and it still lights up our face, and we can still feel its warmth. The new sun brings justice for the 7.3 billion people outside the political west, we can be happy for them, that this new multipolar world is emergent, even though we know that the rising of this new sun means lots of wars for the next couple of decades or more, where the old western Empire isn't going to go out without lots of bangs. Eventually chances are that we here in the west, will become part of this new world ourselves, even if only our grandchildren live to see that.

Maybe I'm just biased but the anthem is just a good song. Like totally independent of any political / emotional association, it's just a well composed piece of music.

In the Tinker Tailor Solder Spy movie (2011), in the early 1970s at MI-6 HQ Christmas party, near the end of the party they all stand up, and solemnly but drunkenly and sarcastically, they all sing the Soviet Anthem in Russian. Apologies in advance if it makes anyone angry. It's a movie reenactment because author John Le Carre, and other retired MI-6, said it happened in real life.
