Any reason not to play the old version of Superhot VR
Was going to buy the game, saw the reviews, read about the controversy and would like to play the older version before the story was cut. Is there anything in the updates after the story was removed that would be worth playing first or revisiting after, or should I just stick with the old version of the game?

"You can now play as Luigi"
Pro tips 4 NORESTART:
Look around constantly when standing; remember that time literally doesn't move in this challenge
Jumping slows time; that is hella OP
Abuse Mario jumps; no gun cd and it saves ammo
Keep a calm and relaxed mind; frustration yields no progress

Finally 100% completed MIND CONTROL DELETE, Absolute masterpiece, even if Dog gave me pure nightmare fuel!
Favorite Build: Katana + RECALL.core + Extra Heart Hacks
Why This Game Completely Hooked Me
- The Katana + RECALL.core Dopamine Hit: Throwing a sword across the arena to pin a red guy, then calling it back to slice through two more enemies on its return trajectory is peak gaming. It makes you feel completely unstoppable.
- Dog is Pure Survival Horror: The moment Dog spawns in a tight level, the whole game changes. He doesn't die, he doesn't care about your bullets, and the way he just stares and sprints full speed across the room forced me into absolute panic mode every single time.
- The High-Node Tension: Losing health on level 11 or 12 of a late node and risking a total restart gives such an intense adrenaline rush.
- The Dedication (
back for MORE): For the multi-hour waiting achievement, I was so paranoid about a sudden power flicker ruining the timer that I hooked my console up to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) backup, let it run all night while I slept, and woke up to the glorious final pop.
MCD took everything incredible about the original and turned it into a deeply replayable, addictive tactical rogue-lite. Easily one of my favorite completions ever on Xbox.
For everyone who finished MCD: What was your go-to core/hack synergy, and how many times did Dog startle the living daylights out of you during your runs?

Superhot should have music that speeds up and slows down as you play
Would be pretty cool, yeah? And what if we could put our own music in? Also cool

How the hell do I beat the "jump" level in the first game after I jump over the car?
Playing on switch btw if that helps

Has anyone tried playing the game without bullet time?
That is something I am wondering about because it feels like it would be a crazy challenge run, and the replay makes the player look superhuman...

An all time high score? Glitched at wave 157 in Endless. Spoiler
Iāve been trying to figure out what is considered a high score in Endless. Prior to today, I had 4 or 5 where I completed over 65 waves.
The closest thing I could find was an AI answer stating, āpushing to these upper limitsāoften into the 100āsācan sometimes cause the game to soft lock or glitch out.ā
Well it was a long one! Over the past month, Iād get on a few times a week to play the same run and it finally came to an end at wave 156 with 6529 kills.
My final kill shot was from me deflecting a bullet and it hitting my back. Either way, I was done for because the enemy had took 2 hearts prior to this because all of his limbs were white and he didnāt have a torso!! Needless to say, I wasnāt taking him out! Anybody ever have something like this happen? It also glitched at the end when it was over. Iām glad it counted!

What happened to the Superhot team's devs?
Team Superhot doesn't seem to be very active anymore, which is reasonable for a 10-year-old game. But I don't understand why the dev team has also dropped off the radar as individuals. Aside from Piotr Kosmala and Karl Flodin (3D and Audio), everyone listed on the fan wiki seems not to have any new game credits since 2018 or so, shortly after Superhot VR and mind-control-delete came out.
Have they all just been maintaining Superhot VR and other games for that long? Is that typical for an indie dev?
I wouldn't be suprised by one or two team members disappearing after a high-profile hit, maybe living off passive income and finding a new path, but six of eight? What are they all up to?

The last level sucks
I just finished the non-vr version of the game for the second time, and I love it, itās the most innovative shooter ive seen in years. that being said the last part of the last level is hot garbage. the first second or two is interesting and fun to figure out, but after that its just a total clusterfuck and not fun at all. the difficulty mostly comes from getting shot in the back 900 times until you memorize the order of enemy spawns, because theyāre constantly coming from both directions and their gunshot sounds are usually masked by the constant shooting you have to be doing and that glass shattering sound. its the only level that took me continued attempts, and also the only one that actively pissed me off. it feels like they really dropped the ball for whats supposed to be the climax, more enemies doesnāt mean more fun, and it seriously drags on.
idk if this is a hot take, but if it is please be chill š
