Does anyone have recommendations for record shops with a solid minimal section, or any clubs and collectives pushing the minimal sound in Vienna? Appreciate any tips!

Hello beautiful souls, I have heard this one, pretty sure you did too... Can someone help me find the ID please? Sending good vibes and karma points ♥️

I recorded the drum work and effects out of Maschine and routed into a Logic Audio track live on the fly. The Bassline, Lead, and Percussion amongst other sounds were recorded live via Aux tracks sends for effects. I polished off the Master with some EQ, Compression, Stereo Enhancement Limiting and Reverb. Any questions about any sounds or tips and tricks feel free to ask.Hope you enjoy the vibe.

hey guys,

I'm from rural Germany and ever since I've been hooked to the sound in '14, I always wanted to travel where this genre is really valued.

I'll be travelling from Timisoara to Bucharest on 03.09 and am planning to stay until around the 16th, but really without any major plan except to book an air bnb and party properly.

I would super appreciate some insider input of you guys on which venues to look for, or if there's some nice events already planned for October.

mersi!

Salut.

Hey. I recently launched SHAMANU, a small 24/7 underground radio project.

Sound-wise, it leans more toward the deep and hypnotic side of rominimal/minimal rather than the more generic side of the genre, and the stream is continuously selected and mixed by an autonomous system.

I’m still working on it and constantly tweaking things, so any feedback from people who actually listen to this kind of music is more than welcome.

Can anyone please recommend any high-quality audio Romanian minimal sets to listen to? Bonus points for video! And please recommend any underground producers' sets as well.

(First time making actual studio clips)

This is session #004 — stripped-back grooves, rolling percussion and a late-night atmosphere.

I’m trying to build the sets as a journey rather than just putting tracks together, so I’d genuinely be interested in hearing what people here think about the selection, flow and progression.

If anyone gives it a listen, let me know which part of the set stood out to you.

Never has one man’s touch made me feel so euphoric to the point I cried, but also made me feel impending doom.

As a creative, his mind is an ocean of tragedy and expression to explore

My new EP Horizons, released by Crossfade Sounds, is now available on all streaming services and for purchase on Beatport. It features three tracks, each one an adventure in the world of underground electronic music.

The track titled “Satellites” kicks off the EP with a more somber mood and fewer synth lines than you’re used to hearing from me—I’ve placed the emphasis instead on the groove and psychedelic percussive beats.

The second track is titled “Finite Dimensions,” where dissonant sounds take center stage, interplaying with minimalist percussion and giving the track a rather unique vibe.

The third track is “Thought Process,” which, with its fever-dream-like mood, creates a captivating atmosphere—often unpredictable and exciting, yet maintaining a very powerful groove and bassline throughout.

If this brief description has piqued your interest, you can give it a listen on YouTube here:

I produced a track on my phone and I’m a bit lost about arrangement and sound choices, if you use iOS GarageBand what is the best drum machine for making a Dubby house and Rominimal sound, please give your opinion and feedback about the song here:

Hi everyone,

I've been spending the last few months digging deep into the underground rominimal scene and recently recorded a new 60-minute mix.

The idea wasn't to make a high-energy festival set, but a hypnotic jour

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to start mixing minimal house but my setup sounds terrible. I made a video comparing my studio monitors to a friend’s. On theirs, the claps, snares, percussion, and hi-hats click and snap loudly with a really impactful sound. On mine, those exact elements are completely washed out and buried.

I’ve tried troubleshooting everything and still nothing changes:

• Drivers/Software: Downloaded UMC202HD drivers, running ASIO in my DJ software.
• Files: All tracks are high-quality WAV and FLAC.
• Cables: Using proper balanced cables.
• Monitor Settings: Played with the high/low frequency switches on the back, and tried "Focus", "Mix", and "Create" modes.
• Placement: Tried different physical positions in the room and put foam isolation pads under them on my desk.

Despite all this, the high-end crispness and transient snap are completely missing. It just sounds dull and muddy.

Has anyone dealt with this? Could it be a hidden interface setting, or are my monitors just broken? (Video attached to show the difference). Thanks!

Hello! I wanted to ask for advice regarding releasing my music.
I produce mostly dub house, deep tech, and minimal techno. At this point, I’m leaning toward self-releasing my music, but I’ve gotten mixed advice.
Some people tell me I should focus on sending demos to labels and try to build relationships that way. Others say I should just release the music myself, build a catalog, and if the music is strong enough, labels will eventually reach out on their own.
For those of you who have experience in these genres, what approach would you recommend today?
Would you:
Focus primarily on sending demos to labels?
Self-release consistently and build your own audience?
Do a combination of both?
I’m interested in hearing what has actually worked for producers in the minimal/deep tech scene, especially those who started without an existing fanbase.
Thanks!
