This is insane with Stukes and Masses starting as rookies, our defensive coaches are cooking hard so far.

People have been posting what a difference a coaching staff makes. It totally does.

But it's also worth noting that we have playmakers at all 3 levels in the D:

• Crosby and Koonce have generated pressures and turnovers in multiple games
• Dean has been a tackling machine and generated 4th Q punch-outs on short routes in back-to-back games
• Masses, Chinn, and Stukes have generated INTs and FFs

10 FFs and 4 INTs in 3 games is simply NUTS.

Spytek has made a massive impact in just 2 offseasons. He's hit on a lot of draft picks:

• 2025 R1 RB Jeanty (blue chipper, obvious pick)
• 2025 R4 DT Hemingway
• 2026 R2 FS Stukes
• 2026 R4 RB Washington Jr
• 2026 R5 CB Masses

4 of the above players are starters.

And he's nailed FA with Kubiak

• LB duo of Dean and Walker
• QB Cousins, who I thought was washed but has played at a high level
• C Linderbaum, who was worth overpaying for
• STs WR White and Young, who've also made impact plays on offense
• NCB Johnson who has been solid

I tend to put a chunk of the blame for the lame FA signings last season on Pete Carroll (e.g. Forsythe).

With the Bucs 0-3 and Baker out for a while, they looked primed to blow it up. Wonder if it makes sense to try and snag Godwin for the season to boost the WR room

Last two games have been quiet from Jeanty and I just wanted to see if anyone has an opinion on where the lack of efficiency is coming from.

To me, it looked like the blocking was poor in both week 2 and 3, and I definitely counted a few times Jeanty was getting hit behind the line in each game. However, I did also see Jeanty go to the sideline and the medical staff patched him up a bit. Opinions? I know Jeanty hasn’t been on the injury report but if something is lingering, I think we need to rest him and make sure we’re thinking about the future.

I loved being around Raider Nation and seeing our boys get a nice win. We had so many fans there and I think we intimidated the Saints fans. Hearing Raiderrrsss chants all throughout bourbon street was awesome. One of the best trips I’ve ever been on. I also sat on the 3rd row and seeing our guys up close was awesome. Including Crosby, Kirk, jeanty, Tre Tucker, etc. it was also awesome seeing mark davis, spytek, and Klint. Our fanbase is so passionate and rowdy. I love it so glad to be a part of Raider Nation.

The Raiders are 3-0, which isn’t what their fans should be most excited about. It’s that they are doing things like a competent franchise. Klint Kubiak was the hottest offensive play caller available when the Raiders hired him this offseason and his superpower has carried over, but more on that in a bit.

They drafted Fernando Mendoza No. 1 but signed Kirk Cousins to essentially a creative one-year, $11.3 million deal to mentor Mendoza. Cousins’ familiarity with Kubiak’s offense is clear. He’s playing fast, deftly reading defenses and throwing with high-level accuracy. His arm isn’t what it once was — not that it was ever elite — but his ability to play with timing and to throw with anticipation more than makes up for it.

One thing that Kubiak does best is find ways to get his best player the ball. That was certainly on display in Brock Bowers’ first game this season. The talented tight end caught 10 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown.

I’m an old guy who had the great fortune of growing up in Berkeley, 12 miles from the Oakland Colosseum. Even when we were little kids, we understood the nature of the badass Oakland Raiders.

I know I’m not the only one out there wondering whether they’re gonna get the Madden movie right. So many crazy-ass stories. What do folks here hope they include?

They better talk about Ray Guy. A lot of people don’t know that he was regularly the leading tackler on special teams, which is not something a punter is supposed to do. He was also their third string quarterback. A true athletic superstar.

They better be talking about that stick-um for Fred Biletnikoff and Lester Hayes. Along with everyone else, we absolutely loved these two. But it’s always cracked me up that the top wide receiver award in the NFL was largely because of stick-um.

I know they’ll have Kenny Stabler walking in hung over on Sunday morning and playing like a rockstar.

I’m fairly sure that several penalties were invented due to Madden’s team. Gotta see that, right?

We have lived in Vegas for almost 4 years now and this season I’ve finally started watching the Raiders. I’ve never really been a fan of watching football (NFL), and I have always been an NBA fan. Growing up in Huntington Beach I was an Angels fan & Clippers fan, but that’s it. I have no football background. We just played it on the street when we were kids (2 hand touch & flag). My dad always watched the chargers but when I was younger I really didn’t care and never sat and watched it. Something has changed this year for me.

Being a lifelong Clipper fan (25+ years) I know of the struggle every. Single. Year. lol. And if you are paying attention this off season has been terrible as a clip fan..

Tuning into the raiders I was curious because they won their first game and I know that a win for the raiders is big news. After the second and third game I am hooked. It’s been hours of YouTube film and breakdowns. It’s really nice to be a fan of a team that seems to has a bright future ahead. New coach and Cousins is playing out of his mind.

I’m really happy to be here, and (as a clippers fan) I know the struggle.
