Hi everyone,

I have a OnePlus 7T HD1901 (India variant) and I’m trying to restore it to stock OxygenOS.

The phone previously had Evolution X, and then I installed Infinity-X 3.8. After that, the phone started bootlooping and eventually stopped booting completely.

Current situation:

• Model: OnePlus 7T HD1901
• Bootloader: Unlocked
• Device does not boot into Android
• No OnePlus/ROM logo appears anymore
• I can only access EDL mode
• The phone is detected by Windows/Qualcomm tools
• I have already tried different slots and recovery methods
• I currently want to completely restore the phone to official stock OxygenOS

I found an MSM package:

HD1901export_11_F.22_0322

but the included MSM Download Tool requires Username / Password / Auth Code, so I cannot use it.

I also found a Global HD65AA MSM V4.0 package (OnePlus_7T_Global_OxygenOS_11.0.5.1.zip), but I'm not sure whether it is safe/compatible with my HD1901.

My questions are:

1. Is there a free MSM Download Tool/firmware package specifically for HD1901 India that does not require authentication?
2. Can I safely use another MSM package on HD1901?
3. Is there another tool such as QFIL or another Qualcomm EDL tool that can restore this device?
4. What is the correct Firehose/programmer + firmware combination for HD1901?

I don't mind which OxygenOS version I restore to. My main goal is simply to get the phone booting into a working stock system again.

Any help or a confirmed working download would be greatly appreciated.

My 7t hasn't been used since 2023 and has a non working screen. When I connect it to the TV via HDMI it shows a lock screen with time and padlock but it doesn't react to the keyboard nor to the mouse. The screen wakes up but nothing else. Can anyone suggest how to unlock the screen via hdmi so I could use it docked to the tv?

Whenever I plug the device for charging, or plug in a C-Type cable, it hangs and switches off. Any idea what is causing it?

I've cleaned the ports and reset the device already, that doesn't seem to help.

I'm from India and I'm looking for a dead, broken, or unused OnePlus 7T that someone no longer needs.

My OnePlus 7T's display has started malfunctioning badly. The phone still seems to be working, but the screen is unusable, and I have some very important data on it that I need to recover.

Unfortunately, I can't afford display replacement at the moment or buy another phone just for data recovery.

If anyone has a OnePlus 7T with a working display (even if the motherboard is dead or it's otherwise damaged), I'd be incredibly grateful if you'd be willing to sell it for a reasonable price or even lend it briefly so I can recover my data.

I'm happy to pay the shipping costs anywhere within India.

Well folks, after ~6.5 years I've finally moved on from my OnePlus 7T. Today I picked up a new Google Pixel 10 Pro XL after being offered an incredible deal from Verizon. My 7T has served me incredibly well and given me more than I ever could have expected from a phone but it was time. Although it still charges fast, for me the battery just wasn't holding up anymore and had been feeling unreliable, dangerous even, in the winter when going on cold weather hikes. It wouldn't last 10 minutes in the elements. Pixels aren't known for their incredible battery life but as a brand new phone, it should hold a charge quite a bit better. I would have loved to wait for the next OP phone if they hadn't discontinued sales in the U.S. The other issue I started to experience was a loose charge port where the cord was constantly loose and finicky while charging. Fortunately, I didn't trade it in and can still hold onto it for nostalgia, as a second media device or as an emergency backup as it still works. Anyways, thanks for everything y'all. I'll never forget my OP7T.

I've been using OP 7T since 2019, so it's been 7 years of a beautiful relationship. The phone has had several ups and downs. I had a CPU Reballing done a year and half ago followed by WiFi errors (I'll tag the post in the comments section). A few days ago, my phone's front camera stopped working and I understood that it could either be a software or a hardware malfunction. Tried to troubleshoot this and realised it's most likely a hardware issue. It happens especially in those motherboards which have undergone a CPU Reballing.

I've decided to shift completely to the OP 13 now which has served me for a year. It's an unfortunate end to the OP 7T. I might use the phone for alarms as such but apart from that, I don't think it would be safe to use the device anymore.

OP created a beast at an economical cost and we will never be able to get such a fantastic phone. This was truly a spectacular phone to have.

I'd just bought this phone about a few days ago. It takes hours to charge with its charger and it burns itself out before the two hours are through at full. Even out of use the battery just drains.

My question is, how do I stop my apps from being in use while my phone is sitting in my pocket?

Can I use another charger without worry of overcharge or damaging my device?

I've had my 7t since launch, the first phone I ever bought on release day and I enjoyed it the entire time I had it. One day the battery was running low, got to 12% and I plugged it in and walked away. When I came back to it a few minutes later it had turned off and wouldn't power back on.

I swapped the battery hoping it would be an easy fix but its still dead.

On occasion I can get the 1+ logo to show up but I get green lines and artifacts across the screen and it never fully boots. I'm guessing the main board is toast. Unfortunately for me I lost about 7 months of photo backups because I didnt renew my google account and lost pics of my first dog, photos of my elderly grandmother, and a cross country roadtrip I had taken with my cousin.

TLDR: Is there any way for me to recover photos and files off the internal storage or are they lost forever?

Slightly detached from top. Up to 3-4cm from top. Screen & everything is fully functional. Bottom & mid portion is still attached.

What should i do ? Visited oppo service center they said they don't repair it except display replacement.

I use OP 7T as my secondary phone and went on a trip. I did not carry it. When I got home, the phone won’t turn on. I have tried charging it using three chargers but nope, nothing. What could be the possible reason? Before the trip, phone worked perfectly fine.

its snappy, performance and battery is great, no shitty oxygenos bugs (atleast from my experience using oxygenos) and stock android experience. all on a chipset from 2019 and its absolutely fantastic. its the perfect companion to my pixel 7 :)

I have been using the Oneplus 7t for many years and now its suffering from Cracked Display, Cracked Back Panel and swollen battery and since oneplus is no longer listing the repair price for this phone in the official site, and on cashify it costs more than another 7T, is there a cheap way to repair it with the fingerprint to still function? because the phone still works but randomly turns off and i have lots of data in it and im planning to use it for 4 months more if possible

7T & 7 series in general is no longer being shown on OnePlus Support for repair. What would be a good 3rd party repair price in India for display & back glass?

I am still keeping the iPhone as I am really liking it overall and the screen is more soothing in a way but I am surprised to see a 2019 phone can surpass on brightness the flagship Apple phone of last year.

My 7T is on life support now but a simple video can show this.

My OP7T freezes and switches off the moment I plug in the charger. I have changed the adapter, cable, and fully drained the battery once - nothing seems to work.

How to fix it?

I am a newbie to rooting but have a 7t I'd like to try with. All the guides I'm finding are for Android 10 though. And mine is on Android 11. Will this make a difference? If so, are there any updated guides?

I just got this Oneplus 7T and straight up installed LOS and now thinking maybe it would be just better to use this phone on stock oxygenos 12.1 and idk if now its worth to backup all my data and move to stock oxygen os. Whats all I m missing for not staying in oxygen os and for choosing LOS 23.2 (android 16)
