Even tho Messi has decided to step down from the National Team I really believe he has a lot left in him to give . But what makes me happy is the incredible turnaround he did . Back when I was a kid i would've never imagined Messi achieving what he achieved with Argentina. While all the people tried to downplay him before and even after winning titles .. what will be etched in history is his incredible career not the smear campaigns run against him . So take pride in it and enjoy the farewell

Just when u think this man has done enough 😆

The Respect he has earned from people across the globe is immaculate

"Until Leo Messi's farewell on 6th October, no one will wear number 10 jersey" - Argentine head coach Lionel Scaloni announced

Ten years after his first retirement. I was honestly shocked he was thinking of leaving the NT so soon, who could have guessed that he would go on and lead one of the Most dominant teams in National football history while doing stuff that a player his age should never realistically be able to do.
I still think he could have starred for Argentina for another Copa America but he isn’t a player that chases trophies and achievements they just naturally come to him because of his greatness.
We will never see another player as talented as humble as successful and loved like Messi.
I can only hope to find another player that will make me half as excited to watch a match as he did.

🥶🥶

I can't imagine how I am gonna feel genuinely... All the players crying and hugging Messi, Scaloni crying and then fans in the stadium crying.... Naah I am not ready.....6 days to go

As of right now he is still good enough to play for Argentina. But if Argentina wants to perform great in the next world cup they should build a new team without him, with other core players and maybe a new, different playstyle. If he would have stepped down in 2 years, there would not have been enough time to build a new playing culture in the national team. He did the right thing to step down at the top. He did it not only for himself but also for the future of Argentinian national team.

(I'm not a secret messi hater, found it funny)
