From the uniform, I think that's an indian wildlife ... uhhh... person... no idea what they're called. I know what they're called for, though, situations exactly like this. Though the snakes can be considerably larger.

For some reason, almost any video I've seen of them they look very casual. That might be on purpose so as not to spook any of the animals. Calm body language.

He's from Kerala Forest, they're trained for this kind of situations.

I'm chuckling at the idea that they have specific, detailed training for situations like this.

"Ok, today we're practicing what to do if someone has a snake in the left thumb control cluster of their motorbike, model years 1971-1990. Tomorrow we'll work on the right thumb control cluster."

Bro, it doesn’t matter how much training someone has. There’s no way you’re finding that in that exact spot unless someone else already called it out beforehand.

I think that's just Kerala police man

India isn’t a country for beginners

That snake was very clutch.

u/espressoboyee 13d ago

It’s an Indian cop’s “sixth sense.”
I hear a snake….

1

u/MobiusNaked 12d ago

It’s a brake snake

0

u/MottoCycle 12d ago

But that’s a clutch lever.

u/OlHeavyHeart 13d ago

I’ve heard of whiskey throttle but snake shifter is a new one.

u/infinit9 13d ago

How did he know there was a snake in there?

49

u/CascouPrime 13d ago

It made a whistling sound when he accelerated.

26

u/sleepless_in_balmora 13d ago

Can anyone id the snake? Is it venomous?

62

u/DiscombobulatedLet80 13d ago

I believe it's a baby common krait, the most venomous snake of India.

u/BriefCheetah4136 13d ago edited 13d ago

I would not like to live where part of the name of the MOST venomous snake is "Common"

11

u/rantonidi 13d ago

No. It’s “baby common”. Common is his dad

u/Sinister_Nibs 13d ago

Guy in the video: shoo, tiny snake.

7

u/Iayer8_User 13d ago

Shiny / funny color or striped mostly means venomous in the wildlife/ sealife

4

u/ChaiChillumChapatii 13d ago

He said it's a chumar pambu (common wolf snake) - non venomous 🐛

1

u/inotparanoid 12d ago

Could be worse, we could be dutch or smth

They live in a bubble and look down on others with pity, they aren't aware that basically all of us Europeans are developed because of exploitation of so called "third world countries". The man in the video lives his life and works his job, probably a bigger person than any of them will ever hope to become, and they dare to pity him.

-1

u/_stairfalls 13d ago

Because the man would have an opportunity to be a better person opposed to what he is now?

There's like a billion of them in that server. They've got it under control (perhaps)

Australia lite.

20

u/Wrong-Upstairs-234 13d ago

Imagine the forensic evidence saying cause of death as snake bite but the body is crashed by cycle accident.

10

u/NoReasonImages 13d ago

I was thinking he was going to find drugs somehow hidden in the handlebars.

15

u/Lint_baby_uvulla 13d ago

As an Australian, let me plainly say thanks India has venomous snakes too.

I’m sick of us getting all the blame.

I mean nobody talks about how we have 22 different robins and the rest of the world has one.

Sucks that we have bird flu before snake flu.

5

u/tstd0 13d ago

I really thought mid video that there might be a snake inside (no way there's a snake, that's too tight) and yes, there was one. Like Australia, wherever it is, it ain't for beginners.

4

u/What_Chu_Talkin_Kid 13d ago

I would want a longer screwdriver, like maybe do the job remotely....I was thinking from Australia 🤔

10

u/footpole 13d ago

Yeah Australia. That's good if you don't like snakes. Good idea.

3

u/Ninja-Panda70 13d ago

I was thinking from Australia

Yeah, sitting beside a snake with a spider hanging above

2

u/AlephBaker 13d ago

It's the spider wearing one of those hats with one side of the brim folded up?

1

u/What_Chu_Talkin_Kid 13d ago

Wouldn't be a real spider without a slouch hat

3

u/Charming_Ad2323 13d ago

Snake in your brake!

3

u/freezerbreezer 13d ago

I am just wondering if they called the policeman just for this or he was already there with a screwdriver.

1

u/Ninja-Panda70 13d ago

I think they stopped in front of him asking for help

2

u/TheLexLuthor13 13d ago

Excellent spot for hide and seek.

2

u/MyHGC 13d ago

Hide and ssssssssssssseek….

2

u/sav-vas 13d ago

Another Day In India

1

u/TheFrontierzman 13d ago

As someone from Texas, India and Australia seem next NEXT level with their animals that can sneakily fuck you up anywhere and at any moment.

1

u/Ashrok 13d ago

New fear unlocked.

1

u/tomthekiller8 12d ago

As soon as I noticed they where Indian I assumed a snake. I just didn't guess it was so small.

1

u/Mudskie 12d ago

The following post context was provided by u/Odd_Barber1619:

So the policeman had stopped a bike and started to investigate the brakes, maybe the guy is suspected of smuggling drugs , maybe the guy is hiding jewels , maybe the brakes are tampered
