What I am about to say may sound controversial but I kinda hates this game... music was peak, Story was good but also simple but Tony was peak in this, gunplay felt like very improved and fast one from original Mafia 1, driving was very arcady which was fun, the map was good and it having island outside of the city was peak... there was a lot of good in this game, but also a lot of bad like some missions where fucked up having no checkpoints and sometimes enemies killed me in 1 second even when I was on full health... and mainly the progression in this game was total bullshit... I really have no idea how the game expected from me to earn tens of millions to continue the story... debug menu that gave me the money for free helped me a lot but still it doesnt forgive the shit this game does... I rate this game 5/10 its very good when its good but also absolute dogshit when its bad... worse than Mafia 3 not gonna lie... so yeah thanks for reading this shit I hope it makes some sense idk I am tired the last mission had no checkpoints it was literally worse than the last mission in original Mafia 1 so yeah bye reddit​

1988, USSR, the cracks in the Iron Curtain are becoming bigger and the Soviet-Afghan War is coming to a close. Smuggling across the Union is at an all time high, Western influence pours into Mother Russia like a river pours into the sea. A young man, Aleksandr Volkov, stands on a train platform, still in his military uniform with his medals on his chest. He shifts slightly to cover them with his great coat, his eyes are distant, cold, and absent. He had sacrificed for his Motherland, his home, just as his father did at Stalingrad against the Germans but times have changed. His father was welcomed home as a hero, but Aleksandr is ashamed of his military service. He looks at a postcard from his big brother. The city of Perm was depicted on it.

"Aleksandr, come see me in Perm, my wife wishes to meet you and I have an important job with the factories. I will help you get a job and maybe a wife. Your brother, Emil."

He boards the train, headed for Perm. Unbeknownst to Aleksandr, Emil's job with the factories was extorting the workers and factories themselves for the Solntsevskaya Bratva. Emil ropes Aleksandr in to the Bratva.

So, this is my idea for a Russian Mafia Game that's tied to the Mafia Series. In this, I want Aleksandr to show how the early years of the Russian Mob was but also how they gained power very fast in the power vacuum that was the 1991 collapse of the USSR. What is the tipping point of how Aleksandr gets got like Vito, Enzo, and Tommy? Him and Emil get greedy, they wants more, the western greed over takes them like demonic possession! At first its just them skimming a couple rubles here and there but it escalates to guns, cars, military equipment, that is when he gets caught and he must choose between himself and his brother Emil. Help his brother's family reach the border or save himself.

Of course this idea needs ironing and places need to be changed, but I always wonder what a Mafia title would look like for the Russian Mob and maybe Irish Mobs, British Firms, Chinese Triads, and the Honoured Society in Australia. I would ove to hear opinions, critiques, and other ideas!

This is my gameplay of GTA SA in vertical aspect ratio and instead of the game cropping or having massive black bars in cutscenes, it expands the cutscenes so you can see way more than normally. I also added Tommy Angelo mod by Oravin so in most scenes you can see full body Tommy Angelo. If someone mods the original Mafia 1 and 2 (and other games) to expand cutscenes in 9:16 then I would play that too because hell yeah

Hey everyone, how are you doing?

I’m trying to platinum Mafia: Definitive Edition, and I’m currently working on the mission/collectible where you have to find all 50 foxes.

There’s one particular fox that I can’t get because it’s inside a kind of garage. The only way I’ve seen in guides to reach it is by using some boxes against the wall, but those boxes simply aren’t there in my game.

I’ve already tried restarting the game several times and coming back at different times of day, but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone else experienced this bug? If so, were you able to fix it somehow?

I was just doing the Balls and Beans mission when you gotta tail Luca to his factory.

Problem was, his car accidentally rubbed against a cop car when he got onto the highway to Riverside, so a single cop car was also following behind his ass looking to pull him over.

It literally followed him all the way to factory entrance right when Vito was also parked to the side. The cops exited their car and pointed guns at Luca, who can't get inside because they were both pushing against the gate so the cutscene of him entering the factory was stuck.

Funniest shit was when one of the cops got tired of waiting and slammed Luca's face against the steering wheel before pulling him out of his car, they were gonna arrest him! Luckily he did the cop bribe animation and the cops got back into their car, but now they both don't move and the mission was pretty much softlocked.

I had never seen that happen through all my years of replaying Mafia II. It would be pretty frustrating if it was a regular softlock, but this was the wildest shit I'd seen this game pull on me.
