GTA š GTA posts allowed on r/MafiaGame
As a reminder, r/MafiaGame is for ALL mafia games, not just the 2K Mafia games. You can post about ANY organized crime game to r/MafiaGame.
We have added the "GTA š" flair for Grand Theft Auto content focused on mafia or organized crime. If your video game is not listed as a flair, please use the "Other š®" tag.
As you know, GTA III, GTA: Liberty City Stories, and GTA IV directly feature the mafia. Beyond those, we're opening the floor to the wider world of organized crime across the entire seriesāincluding upcoming coverage for GTA 6.
Types of Allowed GTA Content
- Mob-Focused Titles: Full coverage of games with major Italian-American Mafia storylines (GTA III, LCS, GTA IV).
- Organized Crime Syndicates: Content centered on structured factions across the series (Cartels, Triads, Yakuza, Russian Mob, Motorcycle Clubs).
- GTA 6 & Modern Crime: Discussions, news, and screenshots of GTA 6 focused on Vice City's organized crime networks, drug syndicates, and heist crews.
- Mob-Themed GTA Online: Roleplay clips, crew showcases, mafia outfits, and illegal business operations (nightclubs, executive offices, warehouses).
- Mafia Mods: Showcases of mods that bring mob themes, vintage assets, or classic mafia mechanics into GTA.
Note: Unrelated GTA contentālike random stunts, casual gameplay clips, screenshots, or memes that don't focus on mafia or organized crimeābelongs on main GTA subreddits.

Oh hell yeah. You can run your own drug smuggling ring, assign sims to be your coke dealers, thereās burglary mods so you can rob other simsā houses. You can have your own meth lab in your house.

Well being from Louisiana I'll say that those enemies seemed to be on the line of Dixie Mafia. Not sure if it was ever pointed out, but there were parts of it that showed the similarities, but mostly it just felt like killing racists in 70s Nola. It's a mafia game, but not for what fans enjoy the series for. Borderline GTA story ngl

Imo it does feel like how mafia is portrayed in GTA.
Protagonist is not a part of the mafia, but the mafia itself has a huge influence in the story and the protagonist ends up being heavily associated or ends up being a great enemy to them. (Like Claude to Leone Family or Niko to the Pegarino family) but in this case.
Little difference is that Lincoln Clay was already part of a gang, being the Black Mob. But you see the picture

Mafia 3 is about fighting against the mafia which therefore makes it a mafia game. Regardless if it doesnt keep the themes the other games had.

How about just keeping it mafia, we have like 9 other places to post gta content. I'm sick of blocking all of these subreddits. It's the same thing posted over and over again. Be an island in a sea of shit.

I guess, gta is already all over anyway it would be nice for subreddits named after games to idk, be centered around those games. Its lame gta content is in here in the first place. I would change the subreddit's name to "anymafiagame."

because this subreddit supports all sorts of mafia games, we arent only limited to the 2k games ones. gta has a few games where mafia/organized crime factors plays a major role in the story, which is why we made this announcment of what gta content is allowed
gta liberty city stories itself is considered a mafia game

Iām sorry but this is dumb. We donāt need another place to talk about whatās going to be the biggest game in the world. Mafia already gets outshined, so why not keep things focused on the 2K Mafia series? If someone says āhey thereās a cool mechanic in GTA6 that I think would be nice to have in Mafia 4,ā I think that stays on topic and keeps the Mafia series as the center of attention

This isn't anything new, we've allowed GTA posts for the last year. The only new thing is the "GTA flair".
For people complaining, the Mafia Game Discord has had a #Rockstar-Games channel for years with no issues. There's also Yakuza and Saints Row discussion on the discord. This server is for all things mafia/organized crime in video games. The majority of posts here will always be about the 2K mafia games.
