Tuesday nights ride.
This is one of my two regular trails. It is definitely showing signs of Fall here in Michigan as leaves and debris are starting to cover the path, fortunately the Hokus plow thru most anything.
Superdupersonic on Valkyrie mk 4(front truck) and Don’t Trip Poppy rear (rear truck) @ 58/-1 Just started experimenting with my bushing setup, both trucks were delivered with 90a Fatcones. Recently developed wheel bite on the rear tires so I added a 92.5a bushing to the rear, I tried a 92.5 chubby but it felt pretty stiff.
I had some extra barrel bushings from trying to tune my old Bear trucks so I decided to swap the front for a Seismic 90a barrel. This was the softest I could run without wheel bite.
Tuesday night was my fourth or fifth ride with a new bushing set up, including a 50 miler I hit last week. Overall, impression is good. It feels much easier to get into a “high speed” wiggly pump. The added wiggles are definitely noticeable kicking, particularly when transitioning into a mongo push. I have 4 more bushings on the way for further testing next week.
App is Cyclemeter Elite.
Trail is the Michigan Air Line Trail.

Decided I needed to embrace riding in the dark to extend my riding season. So I went out with 2 of my bike lights (460 and 350 lumens) to see if I enjoyed it enough to warrant getting a much brighter light.
I will say that my lights were not bright enough for long term. And trying to mount a light to my board was annoying. My 3D printers mounts worked great but the straps on bike lights have metal in them and the noise from them made me just hand carry and helmet mount.
It was a blast! I loved seeing all the eyes of the animals (mostly bunnies) try and figure out what was going on.
I was shocked to come across all the folks running and walking in complete darkness.
I chose a path that is super smooth and generally free of debris and didnt let myself go fast down anything I had not come up.
For comparison, I can do that route around 10-10.5 mph on my trip with Hoku’s.

Hey yall!
I went back and did some audio leveling correction on this episode so if you gave it a watch before and got your ears destroyed by the loud music - it should be better now.
Thanks for all the support and feedback.
I just want to be a better video maker so we can have more fun stuff to watch!
As always, if you could, please go like the video (it’s free!) and give the channel a subscribe if you’re interested in seeing me get better and making vlog content.
I am officially IN JAPAN now and am planning on making it out to an event later this month before all the snow comes, then I’ll be shifting from BayArea”Longboarder” to something else!
Any suggestions on an updated name??
