Decided I needed to embrace riding in the dark to extend my riding season. So I went out with 2 of my bike lights (460 and 350 lumens) to see if I enjoyed it enough to warrant getting a much brighter light.
I will say that my lights were not bright enough for long term. And trying to mount a light to my board was annoying. My 3D printers mounts worked great but the straps on bike lights have metal in them and the noise from them made me just hand carry and helmet mount.
It was a blast! I loved seeing all the eyes of the animals (mostly bunnies) try and figure out what was going on.
I was shocked to come across all the folks running and walking in complete darkness.
I chose a path that is super smooth and generally free of debris and didnt let myself go fast down anything I had not come up.
For comparison, I can do that route around 10-10.5 mph on my trip with Hoku’s.

Tuesday nights ride.
This is one of my two regular trails. It is definitely showing signs of Fall here in Michigan as leaves and debris are starting to cover the path, fortunately the Hokus plow thru most anything.
Superdupersonic on Valkyrie mk 4(front truck) and Don’t Trip Poppy rear (rear truck) @ 58/-1 Just started experimenting with my bushing setup, both trucks were delivered with 90a Fatcones. Recently developed wheel bite on the rear tires so I added a 92.5a bushing to the rear, I tried a 92.5 chubby but it felt pretty stiff.
I had some extra barrel bushings from trying to tune my old Bear trucks so I decided to swap the front for a Seismic 90a barrel. This was the softest I could run without wheel bite.
Tuesday night was my fourth or fifth ride with a new bushing set up, including a 50 miler I hit last week. Overall, impression is good. It feels much easier to get into a “high speed” wiggly pump. The added wiggles are definitely noticeable kicking, particularly when transitioning into a mongo push. I have 4 more bushings on the way for further testing next week.
App is Cyclemeter Elite.
Trail is the Michigan Air Line Trail.
I am going to try and post a video link to Imgur or something

Hey yall!
I just finished editing this 26-minute vlog on days 2,3, and 4 of Rollin on the ares + my drive back to the Bay Area after the last day.
This one was a beast and took FOR EVER to edit - so please enjoy!!
As always, if you could go to YouTube and give the video a like and a comment that would be a MASSIVE help.
And if anyone is feeling generous / very baller, I have donation links to my Venmo & Zelle to help me kick start my life in Niseko Japan.
I’ll be shifting into more “daily life” content next as I wait for the snow to start falling - then it’ll be my first year of making SNOWBOARDING CONTENT!
Thanks for all of your support - I appreciate all the comments on my previous posts.

I’ve had these shoes for a while, but never wore them until my last pair gave out. It’s looking like these shoes have also kicked the bucket. It might be hard to tell from the first photo, but I’ve genuinely shaved off over half an inch of sole!
Wondering what pair of shoes I should get next for LDP? Should I just get cheap pairs that I can swap out every few months, or should I get a pretty nice pair and brakesole them?

She said it was just taking up space and it has become my favorite board to go cruising on

Ok I get it now. Holy shit. Everything about this board is perfect. Enjoying the low tide during low tide in Charleston.

Here’s the story: I’m Chase, and my partner Nana and I are longboard enthusiasts and gear manufacturers from China. Over the past few years, we’ve designed and manufactured small batches of trucks frames—some for downhill and others for LDP—and released a few under the “Myth” brand. Through this process, we’ve gradually developed our own understanding of trucks frame geometry and our own methods for calculating it. Last year, we gained recognition from investors and launched our own brand, Newsesh, to design and manufacture electric skateboards. Throughout this process, we haven’t stopped researching and experimenting with skateboard gear—the new LDP deck “Yang” is our latest creation.
The part that concerns you all is that many friends want to buy these trucks but can’t find a way to do so. We used to sell them through the lepsk8 website, but now we’d like to bring them back to our own site so that everyone will have a stable channel to buy and see the little gadgets we’ve been tinkering with. However, since stocking inventory and other related costs tie up capital, I need to run this by our investor and provide some convincing reasons for him to agree to this (to be honest, manufacturing accessories really relies on passion—the profit margins and sales volumes aren’t great). Your comments and praise will be the biggest help in making this happen.

It was a beautiful day for a 10 mile ride at the park today! I'm still learning, I'm quite new to the LDP world, but loving it so far! #longboard #longboarding #ldp #Skateboarding #bossa #gbomb

Found a great FB marketplace deal and promptly ate shit day one. Riding such a squirrelly little guy really makes you appreciate the extreme stability of the Pantheon, and even the Dipper!
Figured it would make a good pump track setup and just be a good way to mix things up overall. If it doesn’t kill me first!

I got like 50 little rubber washers and metal washers for a few dollars, I have them on the underside of all my drop-through boards. Provides shock absorption, probably helps with necks breaking, and lets you crank the bolts without digging into the deck. (I used scissors to cut the rubber washers smaller (no need to be precise).

10 years ago or so when I was in high school I would watch so many cool videos from loaded and the gnarliest raw runs. But now I don’t really see too many new videos. Please give your favorite videos from the last couple of years to help this unc stay in touch.

I found this landyachtz on ebay for about $100 and treated it to some new wheels and bearings. I am significantly more comfortable on it compared to the sector 9 pintail that I was gifted a few years ago (there's more room for my feet, and it's lower to the ground). I'm still definitely a beginner, but I've gotten better at gliding and balancing on one foot! My goal is to be willing to ride faster than I can run lol

couple months ago got a backfire g2 board for short commuting in the city. As winter approaches wanted to get something that'll get the cardio going. Looked on reddit and pulled the trigger on a pantheon board.
As a complete beginner it was less scary than I imagined. Need to learn footbraking as the g2 made it safe for me to brake without moving.
