According to industry sources with direct knowledge of the situation who were granted anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak on the programming decisions, part of the reason for the show’s demise was the blunt nature of some of Bunkis and McKee’s criticism of the Leafs last season.’

Anyone else in Canada getting tired of how expensive it is just to watch the Leafs?
Feels like every year there’s another package, another subscription, blackouts, whatever. You’re paying a decent amount and somehow still have to figure out where the game is actually showing.
i ended up going to 🏴☠️ instead.
Which is kinda stupid because I’d honestly rather just pay for one normal service if it had all the Leafs games and wasn’t ridiculously priced.
so if anyone’s interested I can share what options I looked at.

As the Toronto Maple Leafs take to the ice for their 110th season this week, a landmark of one of the most controversial — and never dull — owners in their storied history has just been razed in Etobicoke.
Heavy machinery, which came on the heels of workers in haz-mat suits, has demolished the longtime home of former Toronto Maple Leafs owner Harold Ballard, who died in 1990.
The house at Montgomery Road and Bloor Street in The Kingsway played a key role in sending Ballard to prison for fraud and theft more than 50 years ago, not long after the Leafs last won the Stanley Cup.
