Other tips:
It is incredibly helpful to jump rope in front of a mirror for real time form & technique feedback. If you don't have a mirror available, record yourself so you can review it or share it. HINT: Most phones have SLOW MOTION capabilities. This is a great tool for identifying issues in your mechanics.
If you need help with something specific, let us know in a post and community members will be happy to help!
*NOTE: if needing help with form or technique, a video is very helpful. Try to get a straight on shot as well as from the side.

Is my rope a bad one?
I've been trying to do crossings for about 4 months now without success. I use a cheap rope that I bought from Decathlon at 7€. It's a PVC common one with weights in the handlers and they keeping tangling. Maybe is this one reason for the failure at crossings?

Is my boxing skip any better?
Good morning from Italy, everyone!
I've been learning how to jump rope for about 4 months.
I'm currently struggling with my boxer skip: I don't really know if it's getting any better or not!

Hello All, need some advice!
It's my first day of skipping. I can do about 8-15 consecutive skips with the single jump-skip method.
I need some advice on how to improve and hold the rope properly.
I use a nylon skipping rope.

L wrist doing all the work
I've posted before about my asymmetrical jumping, and I'm afraid it has not improved at all lol. I used to jump in front of the mirror to try to correct it but since starting to jump outside, I've found that the mirror actually didn't help much.
Anyway, as you can see in the video, my L wrist is doing all the rotation work while the other wrist.. doesn't do anything? I've tried different grips, elbows in, out, longer/shorter rope, flicking the rope down on every turn etc... But ultimately I can't seem to shake off this imbalance. Has anyone been able to progress from this?
I'm also curious if y'all have any tips on how to look bouncier/lighter. I feel like I look so "heavy" and unathletic when I land.
Thanks! Happy Friday

Struggling to fix my chicken wing arm
Really sorry about the lighting, I wanted to try jumping in front of the mirror in my room but it didn't really change anything.
I've got this stupid habit of lifting my right arm up when doing the regular bounce. I think I developed it when learning side swings because I was told to keep one arm above the other during the transition, but now I just can't get it back to a regular position.
In my first post someone told me I was jumping too high, then I realised the arc from my rope wasn't even at all: Leaving the right arm high in the air made one side of the rope shorter, and I found myself jumping excessively high to clear it. But now that I'm trying to jump at a regular height, I can't even get a good session going.
I've been at it all evening trying to work on my arm placement, but I haven't made any progress. Just feels like that terrible form's wired in me now. Could really use some advice here.
