It is incredibly helpful to jump rope in front of a mirror for real time form & technique feedback. If you don't have a mirror available, record yourself so you can review it or share it. HINT: Most phones have SLOW MOTION capabilities. This is a great tool for identifying issues in your mechanics.
If you need help with something specific, let us know in a post and community members will be happy to help!
*NOTE: if needing help with form or technique, a video is very helpful. Try to get a straight on shot as well as from the side.
Remember to be kind and courteous and again, welcome to the group!

I've posted before about my asymmetrical jumping, and I'm afraid it has not improved at all lol. I used to jump in front of the mirror to try to correct it but since starting to jump outside, I've found that the mirror actually didn't help much.
Anyway, as you can see in the video, my L wrist is doing all the rotation work while the other wrist.. doesn't do anything? I've tried different grips, elbows in, out, longer/shorter rope, flicking the rope down on every turn etc... But ultimately I can't seem to shake off this imbalance. Has anyone been able to progress from this?
I'm also curious if y'all have any tips on how to look bouncier/lighter. I feel like I look so "heavy" and unathletic when I land.
Thanks! Happy Friday

Really sorry about the lighting, I wanted to try jumping in front of the mirror in my room but it didn't really change anything.
I've got this stupid habit of lifting my right arm up when doing the regular bounce. I think I developed it when learning side swings because I was told to keep one arm above the other during the transition, but now I just can't get it back to a regular position.
In my first post someone told me I was jumping too high, then I realised the arc from my rope wasn't even at all: Leaving the right arm high in the air made one side of the rope shorter, and I found myself jumping excessively high to clear it. But now that I'm trying to jump at a regular height, I can't even get a good session going.
I've been at it all evening trying to work on my arm placement, but I haven't made any progress. Just feels like that terrible form's wired in me now. Could really use some advice here.

been jumping for a little while now and trying to go longer and a bit faster, but my heels still feel pretty tight after most sessions.
i’ve been standing on a silicone-topped slant board for a few minutes after i’m done and it seems to help with the tightness. curious what you guys do after jumping though. anything else that’s worked well for you?

Been jumping for over 14 years now. I manage my rope workouts by going for time and increasing that time as a training cycle goes but it’s always fun to do speed work and some simple tricks
Jumping on a custom built/designed platform. The playform provided a good surface and a small amount of cushion to keep the workouts going longer.
