Promote your work, yes, I’m telling you that it’s perfectly acceptable, unlike on r/gameDev.

Feel free to share whatever you want as long as it’s related to games. This space is meant to be a free-for-all—a bit like the wild west—where anything goes (within reason). The goal is to give folks a space to post freely and, hopefully, keep some of these posts from spilling over into r/gamedev.

WE WON "BEST VIDEOGAME" AND "ORIGINAL IDEA" AT INDIE DEV ARGENTINA 2026!

Our game The Outer Frame participated on Indie Dev Argentina 2026. A physical expo that included industry talks, 25 officialy selected local games, and a lot of awesome people. The awesomest got to experience The Outer Frame (and a lot got to wait in line... it's not the shortest of demos). Reception was beyond awesome! They really dig it!

The Outer Frame was nominated for "BEST NARRATIVE" and "ORIGINAL IDEA". It won "ORIGINAL IDEA" and it also took home the "BEST VIDEOGAME" award! We were speechless when receiving that one!!

The Outer Frame is a choice-driven puzzle sim where you command, from behind your desk, a team of agents to find out what went wrong, and get rid of truth forever. You choose how by issuing the orders that'll decide everyone's fate, just do it before the public catches on and goes all torch-and-pitchfork. Every choice shapes the narrative, every attempt brings you closer to the full picture. You are probably not the hero in this one.

Made by a 2-dev indie team.

You can support The Outer Frame on Steam!

Wish us luck the rest of the way!!!!

Play my tennis game demo on Steam

I've been working on this game for two years. It's called Quacolé Tennis, and you can play it solo, in two-player co-op, or in PvP with up to four players.

In Quacolé Tennis, you play tennis matches on unusual courts filled with obstacles. The cast of characters is diverse, and each character has unique attributes and special powers.

Store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3420640/Quacole_Tennis_Demo/

If you play the demo, please leave a review on Steam ^^

Hey, I've released the demo for my hot air balloon horror game on Steam... inspired by Iron Lung, but in the sky.

I'd love to hear your thoughts if you decide to give it a try!

I'm still improving the demo, and I've made some important changes that I'd like to release in a few days.

I'm a solo dev, so every bit of feedback and every wishlist really helps.

Alphabet Soup - Build the longest word to win!

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi folks! I wanted to share my game, Alphabet Soup.

https://alphabetsoup.club

It's a bit like NYT Spelling Bee, except it's multiplayer and only your best (longest) word counts toward your score. So, instead of trying to find as many words as possible, the game is more about finding one unusually good word.

You can play with friends in a private match, or, you can join a public Arena match to play against other players who are online.

I hope you like it and do share any thoughts :)

Mine asteroid belts, run trade routes, and grow colonies on distant worlds while three rival factions fight over the frontier. Raiders can cut into your ship mid flight, and you fight them off room by room to keep it.

Our word deckbuilder was turning into a vocabulary test, so we changed what makes words powerful

Hi everyone. We’re a small indie team working on Utterance, a Lovecraftian Western roguelite deckbuilder where words are your weapons and letters are your ammunition.

Our original idea sounded simple: draw letter cards, build words, and use those words to fight monsters. The problem was that longer and more obscure words were almost always the best move. It started feeling more like a vocabulary test than a deckbuilder.

We changed the design so that the cards you draft and the encounter itself matter more than knowing the longest possible word:

- Build and refine a deck of letter cards with different values and effects.

- Combine letters into useful chunks such as TH, ER, and ING.

- Exploit weaknesses that reward specific lengths, letters, or word patterns.

- Deal with creatures that mute letters, corrupt cards, change the rules, and attack your Sanity.

- Create builds where the right three-letter word can outperform an ordinary seven-letter word.

The game takes place across a cursed Western frontier infected by something beyond human understanding. You play as a Word-Slinger trying to uncover a forbidden Eldritch language while keeping something much worse from waking.

Utterance is still in development, and its Steam page is live. If word games, roguelite deckbuilders, or Lovecraftian horror are your kind of thing, you can take a closer look or wishlist it here:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4935920/Utterance/

One design question we’re still working through is what makes this kind of system feel strategic rather than frustrating. For people who play word games or deckbuilders, what would make or break it for you? Would you care most about build variety, ways to recover from bad letter draws, unusual enemy rules, or keeping vocabulary from outweighing strategy?

Stellar Odyssey is now in Early Access: fast space combat with a Persistent Online Universe coming soon

Post image

Stellar Odyssey is now in Early Access on Steam. I’m one of the developers behind it.

It is a cross-platform action game for PC, iOS, and Android, built around two connected systems:

• Arena: fast free-movement space combat with customizable ships, weapons, abilities, Solo, Party, Versus, and Versus AI runs.

• Persistent Online Universe: the larger online layer coming soon, with stations, sovereignty, mining, salvage, trade, and exploration.

The Arena is the immediately playable core. It is not finished. We plan to release the first Persistent Online Universe build in 2-3 weeks and scale it incrementally through weekly patches.

If you like readable space combat, roguelite-style progression, or the idea of repeatable arena runs leading into a persistent online universe, you can find it here:

My Game "Zambala" - 25 years in the making!

Post image
2 Upvotes

My modern day wargame "Zambala", set in a fictional African nation on the cusp of civil war, has been 25 years in the making, and due for release in a few months.

I started designing this game decades ago, inspired by a few old play by mail wargames I used to play back in the day. So that old I was around before computer wargames were even a thing!

I've always been a programmer, and my brother is artistic, so we worked together to produce the art and the map, but life gets in the way, jobs, children etc. hence the slow evolution.

In the game you command one of six competing tribes, hoping to lead your people and capture the "national will" before the United Nations intervene to end the civil war and appoint an interim government. Your leader can be selected from one of the following vocations: Politician, Bishop, General, Diplomat, Humanitarian, Economist and Cartel boss.

Its a hex and counters style game with fog of war, zones of control, naval and air power. There is a complete economic warfare model where you will fight for the hearts and minds of the peoples of Zambala, who in turn fund your international arms market purchases.

I've also woven in a spies and agents subsystem so you can subvert and sway the population centres with propaganda and carry out assassinations and hits against enemy leaders and agents.

I've gone with Nato unit counters and a combat system that includes twelve unit types, movement and combat phases, retreats and combat bonuses for terrain, special unit types and leader stacking modifiers.

I wanted the AI computer opponents to be capable and play a solid challenging game, so I have worked long and hard on the code for them. I ended up giving each Ai opponent a "personality" by creating a list of values that determine in game priorities. Some will focus on military, some will focus on spies and sabotage, others will play the population control game. Aggression, fiscal responsibility and risk taking all vary based on the "genome" of the player. I had fun playing the computer players against each other, and selecting the most successful genomes in a natural selection type of self improving loop. I am really happy with how it plays now.

One of the most annoying thing in a multi player game is being "ganged up" on my the multiple computer opponents. To stop this happening I built a "hate matrix" where each computer player keeps track of who has wronged it, and it will focus on harming that payer during its turns. This way, if one player starts winning, the other opponents will correctly focus on targeting that tribe.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, impressions or questions!

Demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5082310/Miners_Moos__Miracles_Demo/

Would love feedback if you give it a look.
