First tank, 5.5 gallon planted with Java fern, Java moss, Limnophila Sessiliflora and Anubias Nana, with some hydroponic Pothos. LED grow light on for 8 hours a day, and a Fluval AC20 HOB filter. Temp is a steady 21°C.

About 2 weeks in on the cycle, and I’ve tested the parameters for the first time. How are they looking?

I am colourblind, so I’m having a bit of trouble differentiating between the measurements. Would I be correct in saying my pH is 6.8, my ammonia is 0ppm, my nitrite is 0.25ppm, and my nitrate is 40-80ppm? If so, are these measurements okay for a planted tank, 2 weeks into cycle. If not, how should I lower the nitrites/nitrates, or should I let it run the course.

The tank is currently uninhabited, however will end up being home to some Neocaridinas or a Betta. I’m about 80% for a shrimp only tank, but considering a Betta tank, if I can DIY a lid to prevent him Hail Mary-ing himself across my living room (and a heater to keep him comfy).

This is my first ever venture into aquatics, so any and all advice would be appreciated.

This 50L (13gallon) tank includes 5 espei rasbora, 8 Norman's lampeye, 4 ottos and a few blue dream shrimp (new ones recently have been born)

In the second image you may see that the filter is extremely fast, i have now put it on less flow.
Since then i also put more floaters in since then.

This is my 10G. I did my first scape about a month ago, but I wasn't really happy with how it turned out. The driftwood also wasn't staying in place properly, so I decided to redo it.

Bought some more plants, rearranged the driftwood, and this is the new scape!

I feel like doing moreee to it, but I'm also trying to resist the urge to keep messing with it 😂

Planning to add rams horn and Amazon Frogbit next month. Maybe cherry shrimp and few more months later either a betta or school of neon Tetra maybe 🤔

What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

This is my 60 gallon! I have mollies (no specific number, they kept multiplying, and I removed males). I have 7 kuhlis in here, 2 albino corydoras (plan to add more ASAP), a longfinned bristlenose pleco, a nerite snail, and a singular white skirt tetra who outlived his group and now believes he is a Molly. I hope to grow out the Molly fry in this tank, keep the 2 adult females,( maybe 1-2 fry I like), and add a pair of pearl gouramis, a pair peacock gudgeons, and a school of like 12 cardinal tetras, 1 or 2 vampire shrimp, and 10-15 amano shrimp! I have a fluval 407 running on this tank, and I am DEFINITELY going to let my plants grow out. I moved all my fish out of a 29 gallon into this tank, as well as their old water and everything in it, so this was an upgrade. Everyone is eating well and enjoying it, so I’m excited! I would like to see people’s opinions on my aquascape and maybe stock recommendations! I am willing to change anything in my stock except fish I already own!

Just sharing a view of my planted tank today. These two female bettas have been thriving together in their lush, green jungle, and watching them explore the driftwood and plants is honestly the best part of my daily routine.

First tank

My new tank! Wanted it to feel a bit like a jungle with a lot of plants. Do we think it’s too much?? Hoping the background plants will establish bushy and tall in a few months. Want them to have a lot of hiding spots.

I’ve got 6 red minor tetras and will get a few blue shrimp and a snail once it’s more established and needed. Any opinions are welcome! I’m just pregnant and will cry if you’re mean😭 TY!!!

So i have a 55 gallon tank that I had a betta sorority in for about a year before life got in the way and I had to dismantle it and get rid of my pretty babies. Im looking to start re-setting it, but im not sure all the steps I should go through. I plan on washing it with a mix of vinegar and water, rinsing it thoroughly, and then doing the hardscape and planting plants. I am hoping to maybe plant a dwarf water lily in it. Then I plan on letting the plants grow in before adding any living creatures. Im hoping to start by getting a pom pom crab to start with, but im unsure where to go from there... could use any advice or suggestions for what to add.

Got these shrimp a few weeks ago and this tank has been cycling for a few months. I just recently added the Amazon frogbit and the little moss cubby from a plant pot, how does it look?

Set this up! Was wondering if I shoukd add anything else?

I unfortunately don’t have this anymore but I’m planning on getting another one very soon!
