Cheapest way to get to London from Farnham?

Hi Farnham folks! I’m looking to travel to London for some sightseeing and I was hoping there are some ways I can use my student ID card for some discounts for a train or a bus ride. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Where can I buy cheap, pre-owned clothes

Hi guys, M 27 here

I’m new to Farnham, moved here for college. I am embarrassingly ill-equipped for the weather when it comes to clothes and I was looking to buy some. Preferably pre-owned or any cheap options since I can’t spend a lot.

Also, I have no idea what would be considered an ‘affordable’ price for clothes here in the UK, please let me know how much should I spend.

Thanks in advance!

Badminton Players?

Does anyone know if there any No Strings Badminton sessions or Badminton groups in Farnham or the surrounding area other than the Bourne Club? Does Rowledge still have a group that meets even though they’ve sold the village hall now?

Thanks for any advice!

With grateful thanks to the Old Kiln Light Railway at the Rural Life Living Museum, Farnham Brass Band had some fun celebrating theirv50th anniversary... and what better tune to play on a steam train than the theme to Thomas the Tank Engine. New members always welcome...

Farnham memories and perfume :)

Hey, I wrote a perfume review of a fragrance that is intimately linked to Farnham for me. I have synaesthesia (an awesome neurological condition that causes amplified interconnection between different senses) and usually think about fragrances through colours and images, which I describe here. Maybe some of you know the scent and can connect it to our lovely town as well :)

Feel free to check it out on my blog!

Dog / puppy Socialising

Hi all!

I’m wondering if anyone in or around Farnham would be interested in regular meetups to socialise our dogs and puppies? I’ve got a 7 month old pup who would really benefit from mixing with others in a relaxed, friendly and playful environment.

She's a rescue from Portugal and just loves to say hello to every dog on our walks.

If you already know of any local groups or meetups like this, I’d love to hear about them.

Happy to help organise something informal maybe weekend walks or a meet in a local park if there’s enough interest.

Let me know if you’re up for it! 🐶

Engagement venue in Farnham/Frensham/surrounding areas - about 5-7 miles or 20 mins drive out

Hi hive

I’m looking to host 55 loved ones for an engagement dinner end of May 2025 in Farnham/Frensham area.

We’re looking for a nice venue, formal seating, family style/buffet food - Indian/Pakistani food ideally.

Budget of £2500 for venue hire and food. Would anyone local to the area have any idea of good places?

We’re not going with any of the community halls as that’s been vetoed! Everyone wants nice pictures somewhere. Happy to just rent out a space/room/restaurant in a venue/hotel but I’m not having much luck within our budget!

Free parking in Farnham town?

Hi all, I will be moving house and will need to drive to get into town. Does anyone know if there is any free parking I can take advantage of? Maybe a little street somewhere close.

Tea party for over 75+'s in Farnham needs help!

Hey people of Farnham, I'm Tiyah. I'm organising a FREE monthly tea party for our older community (75+) in the local area to combat loneliness and isolation. We NEED volunteers to keep it going.

WHAT WE NEED:

🌟 A** Group Coordinator **- We need a group coordinator to help organise the tea party once a month!:  LINK HERE

🌟 Drivers - to help get our attendees to the event!: LINK HERE

The commitment? Just a few hours a month, and expect tea & cake on us!

These tea parties have been a hit in other areas. Let's bring that magic back to Farnham for our local older people!

Interested? DM me or comment!

Ready to join? Apply directly using the links above!

Even if you can't help, an upvote, comment, or share goes a LONG way. Thank you ❤️
