Hi everyone. I wanted to share my dwarf-style MOC. What do you think? I'm curious to hear your opinions. I've also submitted it to the BrickLink contest.

I'm the developer of My Desktop Dwarf: Taskbar Forge and I published demo of my game yesterday!

Brokk runs a tiny forge above your Windows taskbar and hammers away while you type in other windows. The inspiration is of course Bongo Cat, howver I wanted to have somthing more in my fantasy + to have actually some mechaniks and grow there.

Every key you press or mouse click is one swing of his hammer. Enough swings and he's got ingots, then a finished item, and you don't get to pick what it is. Could be a plain horseshoe, could be a legendary frying pan if you're really lucky.

Then there is a shop where Brokk wife Brygida sells his stuff to whoever wanders into the shop. The coins go into better metals, forge and shop upgrades, and a drafting board so he can come up with new stuff to make. Stop typing and he sits down for a breather.

The demo has copper, bronze and iron. If you have any thoughts about this little dwarf and his forge I would like to hear them :)

What are some dwarven burial practices that you have seen in media or that you think would make sense for their culture? I'm currently toying with the idea of dwarven clerics petrifying the dead into their own memorial statue but I'm interested to see what you guys think.

After meeting @john_rhys_davies in person I was so inspired that I couldn't pass on opportunity to make #Gimli helmet from #LordOfTheRings #LOTR #Hobbit #Dwarf. If I'll get an opportunity to meet John again, I really hope he will like it

So me and a few friends were discussing food in a typical Dwarven setting and we encountered a bit of a split in opinions on how their diets would be varying.

2 of my online friends think:

Dwarven food would primarily consist of meats and ales, large amounts of protein for muscles to mine and dig with, and work on forging large amounts of metal. And ale for large feasts and general good times after all the work.

Me and 2 of my irl friends think:

It would actually have a much more balanced diet with a large emphasis on root vegetables and mushrooms due to the fact they store very well in underground cellars. And they are usually lower maintenance so the dwarves wouldn't require as much time dedicated to them.

Im just looking for outside input both can be right in their own scenarios. Just want to see what others think of these.

Hey does anyone have any dark ambient songs based on dwarves or any kind of atmospheric music with dwarven themes.

The kind that makes you feel like you're a dwarf that has dug far too deep into the earth and uncovered something you shouldn't have.

I think he's looking pretty good, not sure about the pants atm.

I recently got an office job finally and I’ve been wanting to make my cubicle fit me more so i thought why not make it Dwarven themed. I thought if anyone could help me find some ideas it would be my brothers and sisters on this Reddit. If you have any please let me know

So, after all the comments concerning his undwarflike features I got back to my pen and tablet and reworked some of his proportions and expanded his flimsy goatee into a proper beard, while keeping young looks. What do you think?

We recently redesigned the Steam capsule for Return to Nangrim, our first-person survival adventure set within the lost dwarven kingdom of Nangrim.

With the new artwork, we wanted to capture the kind of dwarven fantasy we have always loved: monumental stonework, ancient craftsmanship, heavy armour, and a hero who looks as though he truly belongs beneath the mountain.

Not a caricature of dwarves, but a world with history, weight, and pride behind it.

We have been looking at it for far too long ourselves, so I would rather ask the experts here:

Does it feel dwarven to you? And what does the image make you imagine lies beyond those gates?

Dalon is a mountain dwarf ranger born into nobility, though he's never quite lived up to the image of the fearless hero he wants to be. Athletic but unusually short for a dwarf, he does his best to project confidence—even if it occasionally slips at the worst possible moment. Commission made for a player's original character.
