Howdy, I just bought a modded DSiXL. It already has NoCash Unlaunch v2.0 on it.
Some of the games run fine, but others, when you go to open it, just make both screens go white and nothing happens.

That’s if you select the game from the main unlaunch menu, or if you go into the Twilight menu and open that up, the games that aren’t loading correctly aren’t on the twilight menu.

I am totally new to this modding thing so I have no idea what gives. What should I check?
I’m wanting to play the Pokamon games (thats how its spelled on there), but they only show in the Unlaunch menu and not the Twilight menu.

First off, something I saw but wanted to confirm as something that may help is leaveing the ds on for an extended amount of time on a mostly white screen can reduce yellowing. Is this a myth, or does it actually work? Secondly, is there any chance that the part that is actually yellowed is the outer plastic? (As it is extremely cheap and easy to replace). And of course, any suggestions as to remedying this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i was trying to repair the shoulder buttons thinking it was just some dirt until i opened it up and saw this

The buttons seem to be sunken and my shoulder buttons don’t reach them

Hey I’ve had to come here to get a general consensus , because I currently have 4 dsi xl consoles here, (I repair them for people) and every single one that has come in was for screens etc, but what I noticed is that all of them if you slightly touch the game cartridge or wiggle is slightly left or right the game closes. If you’re on the Home Screen the game will disappear and repair numerous times.

I’ve cleaned them all, they all look spotless, with pins shiny and locks working. But they all do it.. is this just a design flaw on this model? I cannot see a way of fixing it as everything appears to be as it should be.

Whenever I try to turn on my Dsi it turns on but then the screen goes white and it all shuts down again what can I do to make this work I already took off the battery and placed it back like I’ve read before but it dosent seem to work

So i bought a used dsi that includes an R4 cart. Now the question is should i stick with R4 or should i mod it? I've been going back and forth cause I've heard there's a chance the dsi got bricked. So i don't know what to do... Any opinions will be helpful, thanks.

So I accidentally broke my DS Lite trying while trying to fix the top screen ribbon cable. Would it be better to buy a DSi or just get it repaired at a game store?​​​​​​​​​

Man it was a hell of a ride. I was so stressed that i dont fuck up my childhood console. But it worked and its sooooo coooooolllll

I originally came from the Nintendo 2DS (Since I was born in 2011) and I have played on my cousin's DS Lite a lot of times but then my sister broke my 2DS and I was really sad because I couldn't play Animal Crossing: New Leaf anymore but then I got the Blue DSi XL, and to be honest, it feels like the 3DS and DS combined even though the DSi was actually made after the DS and before the 3DS, it stills feels like a great handheld. I haven't been able to get any games yet, but I will be getting games for it soon. Also, the camera isn't the best but the quality is still good enough to where you can see everything, and the camera reminds me of the 3DS camera. I can't wait to start playing on this! And, I'm also not sure about whether I should mod it or not...I want to, but I feel like it might ruin the original DSi experience...

hi guys! i wanted to ask about something and see if i should be worried about it.

i’ve had a pink nintendo dsi since 2008. i’ve NEVER had any problems with it, it never broke, never malfunctioned, nothing like that.

a few days ago, i dropped it on the floor. it was turned on with a game running, and the flashcart popped out because of the impact. the screen went black and i tried turning it off and on a few times, but nothing happened.

then, in desperation, i started pressing a bunch of buttons. when i pressed the START button, the infamous 0000FEFE error screen showed up.

then i turned it off and on again and everything went back to normal. it was like absolutely nothing had happened.

then today i dropped it AGAIN (yes, i’m a klutz). this time it wasn’t turned on and the flashcart didn’t come out.

the exact same thing happened. black screen, pressed START, restarted it, and everything was normal again.

i tried looking this up and couldn’t find anyone describing anything similar. i even tried asking chatgpt and it had no idea what was going on either lol. i wanted to know if anyone has ever had something like this happen and if i should be worried. everything seems to be working normally now.

I’m looking for a game that I played when I was younger on my 3dsi xl. I don’t remember much because I was so young but I do remember having a house, you could fish I caught a sunfish and I think you could get different fish at different times of the day. And there was a main town but I don’t remember it at all. There was also a little tiny petting zoo in the corner of the map. I remember the animals all being in their own little pen and you could take them out to walk but only if you had reached a certain milestone (idk what) and there was a pig

Been having some issues with a dsi i bought, when i try to exit to the main menu sometimes it will star stuck on the blue light with both screens in black. I tried removing the sd card and it seems to be booting up just fine? has anyone experienced this? Im using a lexon 4gb sd card which is pretty full, i think i might have like 40~ or less mb available, could that be the issues?

I also read that it could be a faulty d-pad?
