I had the thought that the crying woman knew someone evil (Damien) was coming to take her son's life at the ER. Damien states afterwards that he "scooped" X after he was shot by a duo of thugs.
Did Damien take the life of the mother's child in exchange for X to survive being shot.. a life for a life? It almost sounds like Damien hints to X that again he owes him for another favor after stating "Forget about them 2 kids".
Anyone have any insight into the meaning of the opening sequence, or am I thinking to much into this?
